We've gotten to the bottom of why Lindsay Lohan is getting hauled back into court, and this video will be Exhibit A today when her lawyer tries to convince the judge that Lindsay will improve her attendance record at her alcohol ed course.
As we first reported, the Right On Programs -- which Lindsay was ordered to attend as part of her DUI probation -- notified the judge that Lindsay was not satisfying the requirements of the program. Now we have details.
Sources tell TMZ Lindsay had gotten a leave of absence from the course a while back so she could leave the state and work. Time passed and Lindsay never got back in touch with the program so officials there contacted the judge.
This video -- shot yesterday afternoon -- shows Lindsay going back to school. She only has about 6 weeks more to finish the course and it's unlikely the judge will violate her probation, assuming Her Honor believes LiLo is sincere when she appears in court this AM.

Samantha Ronson celebrated her b-day last night -- she turns 32 today -- but instead of giving her a drama-free evening, Lindsay Lohan blamed her DJ girlfriend for instigating all of their legendary catfights.
Papper: "No more fighting, right?"
Lohan: "Tell her that, not me!"

Lindsay Lohan called a locksmith for help late last night -- and showed her gratitude by stiffing him!
Linds and Sam Ronson called USafe Locksmith to Sam's house when they realized they lost the house keys.
As the locksmith did his thing, Lindsay found an open window and told the locksmith he could stop. The locksmith asked for his $39 fee, but Lindsay refused, offering $20 instead.
The locksmith tells us Sam then told him to move his car away from the property. He obliged, but when he came back, Lindsay and Sam had locked themselves in the house and didn't pay him a penny.

Lindsay Lohan is wanted for questioning in connection with a jewel heist -- and an expensive one at that.
Scotland Yard is investigating the disappearance of around $500,000 worth of jewels -- earrings and a necklace -- that went missing after an Elle magazine shoot ... and guess who was front and center for the shoot? Our freckle-faced friend.
Scotland Yard wants to question LiLo ...but they're quick to add others are being investigated as well.
Lohan's rep released this statement: "No one has contacted us yet, but Lindsay is happy to cooperate. She wants them to find the missing items."

Like a mother dropping her kid off at soccer practice, Dina Lohan dropped Lindsay off last night at ... wait for it ... a bar.
The Mother of the Year gave her daughter a ride to Bardot -- the perfect place for a rehab grad --who affirmed to our photog "I don't drink ... a**hole."

Some people just don't know when to fold 'em -- 'cause even after Sam Ronson's family looked into a restraining order, Lindsay Lohan still insisted to the paparazzi, "You make it seem like it's over -- it's not."
Lohan continued, "People take breaks ... it's OK ... it's normal ... focus on themselves."
Anyone who's seen "Friends" knows how well "breaks" work out ...

UPDATE: 4:22 PM ET All police units have left Sam's house, but her car is still in the driveway. We're told during their argument, Lindsay allegedly threw something and a window was broken.
UPDATE: 3:49 PM ET Three LAPD cops were knocking at the door, trying to get Lindsay and Sam to open it but they would not. One of the cops was pacing the property. The cops have left the front door but they're still in the area. One of the cars left the house but is parked up the street. Word is they may arrest Lindsay and take her to jail.
UPDATE 3:40 PM ET: The cops now tell us they were called for a disturbance and not there to arrest Lindsay.
Sam and Lindsay have gotten into a nuclear fight at Sam's house. The police are at their front door to talk to Lindsay and Sam but they will not open the door. The two are definitely still in the house.
We're told the police are trying to serve Lindsay her warrant.

Anyone can cash in on Lindsay's runaway trainwreck woes these days. This weekend, a plane flying over Malibu pulled a banner that read, "Hey Lindsay Get Boosted Not Busted!"
So who's trying to boost their sales with Lohan as the butt of their ad? At first, beachgoers thought it was two boostful contenders, the first being Boost Mobile. Linds could then two-way walkie talkie her assistant and avoid the whole car chase/hostage thing -- which can be really tedious when a girl's out of range. Others thought it was Boost nutritional energy drink. Loaded with vitamins, minerals and protein, this drink is perfect for a crackerjack gal on the go for days on end -- who might not have the time or appetite for actual food. Sounds like Lilo could use both!
Turns out, it's neither. It's EBoost vitamin drink powder -- not that Lindsay needs any more powder!

Fresh out of rehab -- and ready to tear up the town! Lindsay Lohan was spotted hiding underneath an oversized sweatshirt as she left Les Deux's one-year anniversary party. Don't be mean, girl!
Chummy Dustin Hoffman dined at the Ivy and made friends with photogs. Scrumptious Richard Simmons was as happy as a clam, but not as quiet while driving down the street.
In NYC, luscious Jessica Biel had dinner at Italian restaurant Scalinatella. Afterwards, she hailed a cab and met up with her southern gentleman, Justin Timberlake, at his new restaurant, Southern Hospitality. Don't let ya butt get too big from all that cornbread!
All this plus an extra helping in today's good ol' home cookin' edition of Star Catcher!
