A former WCW Tag Team Champion was arrested this weekend after he allegedly put the wrong person in a choke hold ... his girlfriend. Sean Haire -- aka Sean O'Haire -- was arrested early Sunday morning for battery and criminal trespassing after his girlfriend told cops he violently attacked her at her home in Savannah, GA.
According to the police report, the woman claims Haire -- who's now a 6'6" tall, 270 lbs MMA fighter -- stormed downstairs unprovoked and "started screaming and throwing items around her."
Moments later, Haire's girlfriend claims he "began to choke her while calling her a bitch and a whore."
According to the report, Haire's girlfriend said she "does not know what caused the sudden attack, but that it has happened in the past on several occasions."
The woman eventually ran outside and called the cops -- and Haire was arrested and thrown into the Chatham County Detention Center ... where he had the opportunity to pick on someone his own size.
The guy who used to play the Green and White Ranger on the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers is trying to fight with creatures from this planet -- dude is an MMA fighter now.
35-year-old Jason David Frank -- who used to fight inside a friggin' Dragonzord -- just told MMAweekly.com he's hoping to fight inside the UFC octagon.
The 6th degree Black Belt just signed a deal with a new management team and hopes to get in the ring pretty soon. We'll let you know when he actually schedules a fight.
A note to former "American Gladiators" star Titan for the next time he decides to bet on a women's MMA fight -- never bet against a girl whose nickname is "Cyborg."
Cris "Cyborg" Santos took care of business last night, scoring a first round TKO over hottie Gina Carano. Titan had told us he was laying a $500 wager on Carano -- his former "Gladiators" co-star.
The phrase "pick on someone your own size" has never been truer -- as Shaquille O'Neal (7'1" 330 pounds) just challenged massive MMA fighter Hong Man Choi (7'2" 330 pounds) to a no-holds-barred fist fight.
Shaq shot this video calling out the giant after a recent training session -- and according to the clip, it seems like the challenge could be legit.
Hong's the guy who made Jose Canseco his mini-bitch back in May ... but really, is that an accomplishment?
Ever watch a pretty blonde chick ferociously choke out an unsuspecting male reporter until he passes out?!
Something must have really, really been lost in translation here -- cause after a question about her upcoming fight, female Brazilian MMA fighter Cris "Cyborg" Santos suddenly threw this reporter into one of the most devastating headlocks you've ever seen.
Dude eventually woke up ... but he didn't remember a damn thing.
Tito Ortiz is on the receiving end of a serious legal attack -- one that started after the UFC legend bashed "Rampage" Jackson's former trainer to the media.
The guy filing the lawsuit is Juanito Ibarra -- a fighting expert who claims he's trained more than 15 world champs and several Olympic Gold Medal winners. Ibarra's pissed over an interview Tito gave to a website back in 2008, in which the fighter ripped Ibarra as a "thief" who had financially "taken advantage of Rampage."
In the lawsuit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, Ibarra claims Tito's statements are all false and "highly offensive" -- and things got worse when scores of sports websites began publishing follow-up stories, repeating Tito's comments.
Ibarra is suing Tito and all the blogs and publications that ran Tito's interview for defamation, invasion of privacy and emotional distress.
Jose Canseco showed off his newly created punch-and-run technique during his Mixed Martial Arts debut last night in Japan -- and needless to say, it didn't work at all.
Canseco fought the superhuman-sized 7'2" 330-pound Hong Man Choi at the Dream Super Hulk tournament in Yokohama -- which mercifully ended after ONE MINUTE when Choi mounted the old "Bash Brother" and beat him to a pulp.
Unfortunately, they don't make a steroid that turns you into someone with fighting ability.
Spencer Pratt was out at Chinois with MMA fighter Kevin Casey -- the dude whose music video Pratt singlehandedly emasculated -- where he proved, once and for all, that he's a bigger poser than Avril Lavigne.
TMZ has confirmed the owner of the TapouT MMA clothing line died this morning when his ultra-rare $300,000 Ferrari crashed into a light pole, ripping the car in half.
TMZ has learned Charles Lewis Jr. -- aka "Mask" -- was driving his Ferrari Modena in Orange County, Calif. around 1:00 AM this morning when cops say it "left the roadway, hit the curb, took out a light pole."
"Mask" was declared dead at the scene. A female passenger -- who was ejected from the crash -- was taken to a local hospital, but we're told she's in bad shape.
Cops believe "Mask" was racing a guy in a Porsche at the time of the crash, and authorities have since arrested the guy they believe was driving the other car. That man -- Jeffrey David Kirby -- is being held on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter.
UPDATE: A rep for TapouT released this statement: "It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we must regretfully confirm the passing of our beloved friend, brother and co-founder Charles "Mask" Lewis following a car accident that occurred last night. We are currently in the process of setting up a memorial service in his honor and will release more details as they become available. Many thanks to all for the outpouring of blessings and well-wishes during this incredibly difficult time."
TMZ has just obtained yesterday's mug shot of former UFC superstar Kimo Leopoldo -- and it's just plain sad.
TMZ has learned Kimo has a history of legal issues besides the drug and stolen property charges he's facing from an arrest in Tustin, Ca yesterday. Back in '93 he was arrested for assault and battery and in '07 he was arrested for domestic violence.
Since then, he's become virtually unrecognizable -- a shell of the former fighting machine he used to be.
Kimo was released from custody early this morning. No word on when he'll be back in court.
He's kicked the crap out of all sorts of UFC fighters, but now Kimo Leopoldo is battling a serious drug charge.
TMZ has learned the famously tatted MMA badboy was arrested by Tustin police Monday afternoon after they spotted the 6'3", 235 lb fighter wearing a Long Beach Police Dept. jumpsuit, complete with patches and a cloth badge -- a badge only cops are allowed to wear. The officers -- the real officers -- then searched Kimo's ride, where they claim to have found "a small amount of what is believed to be meth."
Kimo, who famously lost to Royce Gracie in UFC 3, was charged with possession of a controlled substance and is still in police custody. Cops say there will also be an investigation into where the 41-year-old got his hands on the LBPD gear.
If you've ever wanted to go after George Lucas for ruining the "Star Wars" franchise, be warned -- his daughter will lay you out.
Amanda Lucas made her MMA debut in Auckland, New Zealand over the weekend, losing in one of ten fights as part of an event called Princesses of Pain -- which also accurately describes Natalie Portman's acting in "Attack of the Clones."
According to a fan at the fight who posted a comment on a local news site, Amanda's fight was "a total mismatch and she got badly beaten. To give Amanda her dues she kept coming back for more, but the ref in her corner should have stopped the fight after the first round."
