ABC televison was shot down in court today by the estranged hubby of Kate Walsh.
The judge ruled Alex Young can make ABC Prez Stephen McPherson sit for a deposition, and answer all sorts of questions about Walsh's financial prospects at ABC -- pilots, development deals, etc.
Walsh and Young were only together as husband and wife for 14 months, but it's turning into one of the most bitter divorces in Hollywood.
ABC claims Young is harassing her and ABC and the motive is $$$.
And here's the best quote from the ABC lawyer: "It's as if Manny Ramirez was getting divorced and the first deposition they want to take is the president of ESPN."
The judge disagreed, so now Young's lawyer can grill the ABC honcho.

He's not even a shoe-in to play -- but the mere rumor that suspended L.A. Dodgers cheater Manny Ramirez will make his baseball comeback with a AAA team in New Mexico is already sending ticket sales "through the roof."

After the L.A. Times reported Manny would join the Albuquerque Isotopes line-up on Tuesday, a rep for the team told us phones began ringing off the hook for tickets and a line formed "around the block 30 minutes before the box-office opened its doors." FYI -- the rep told us the Dodgers haven't officially confirmed Manny's return.
Manny is currently serving a 50-game suspension after testing positive for a performance-enhancing drug back in May -- and the reason the Dodgers would send him to the minor leagues would be to ease him back into form.
Meanwhile, the Manny-less Dodgers have the best record in baseball.

Manny Ramirez just released the following statement regarding his 50 game suspension for violating the MLB drug policy:
"Recently I saw a physician for a personal health issue. He gave me a medication, not a steroid, which he thought was OK to give me.
Unfortunately, the medication was banned under our drug policy. Under the policy, that mistake is now my responsibility. I've been advised not to say anything more for now.
I do want to say one other thing; I've taken and passed about 15 drug tests over the past 5 seasons.
I want to apologize to Mr. McCourt, Mrs. McCourt, Mr. Torre, my teammates, the Dodger organization, and to the Dodger fans. L.A. is a special place to me and I know everybody is disappointed. So am I. I'm sorry about this whole situation."
According to the MLB Players Association, Manny has waived his right to challenge that suspension.
Los Angeles Dodgers CEO Jamie McCourt issued the following statement in reaction to today's statement: "We share the disappointment felt by our fans, our players, and every member of our organization. We support the policies of Major League Baseball, and we will welcome Manny back upon his return."

Manny Ramirez has tested positive for performance enhancing drugs and will be suspended without pay for 50 games, the LA Times is reporting.
The Los Angeles Dodgers star is the most prolific player to be suspended by MLB since it began testing in 2003.
The paper is reporting Manny will attribute the positive test result to "medication received from a doctor for a personal medical issue."
According to the report, Manny stands to lose about $7.7 million.
The Dodgers currently have the best record in baseball.

It was just Manny being Manny out in L.A. last night -- when the most dominating player in baseball took a shot at his old team on his way out of a nightclub.

After Ramirez admitted he didn't even watch game 7 of the A.L.C.S. featuring his former team the Boston Red Sox, Manny was pretty damn happy when he found out they lost!
Dude also laughed when we asked him about re-signing with the Dodgers -- even for $100 mil.

One rowdy baseball fan was bleeding a hell of a lot more than Dodger Blue Wednesday night, when two cops opened a can of whoop-ass after being drenched in a beer-throwing incident -- and it was all caught on tape.

Here's how it went down: During the final game of the N.L.C.S., a guy in the stands was wearing a S.F. Giants hat and got it ripped off his head (allegedly by a guy dressed up like Manny Ramirez). Rowdiness ensued and the cops -- LAPD uniformed officers who were off duty and working for the Dodgers -- responded.
As the cops confronted the dreadlocked perp, some moron threw a full cup of beer at the officers leaving them soaking wet. When the cops turned to find the beer-thrower, another moron from a different section heaved more beer at the cops.
That's when the uniformed cops decided to enforce the anti-moron law -- grabbing the man they believe threw the second beer and dragging him down the concrete stairs. The tape stops, and by the time the shooter hit record again, back-ups were there.
An LAPD spokesman reiterated the officers were off duty and no one reported the incident to the Department. No immediate comment from the Dodgers.

LA's newest superhero Manny Ramirez doesn't need a chaperon to introduce him to the local late night scene, because according to fellow Dodger and Hollywood nightclub vet Russell Martin, "He's a grown man ... he can go out on his own."
We were under the impression that a grown man could decide for himself when he wanted a haircut...
