Since the first guy wasn't able to, er, finish -- a new guy (or girl) will now get a chance to spend eternity on top of Marilyn Monroe ... if they've got half-a-mil layin' around.
The people who own the burial plot directly above Marilyn at the Westwood Village Memorial Park and Cemetery are putting their little hole in the wall back on eBay on October 19th ... and since they've already been burned by a guy who promised to pay $4.6 million for it -- this time, they're making sure the bidder can pay up.
A rep for eBay tell us, "The starting price will be $500,000, with a hidden reserve. Bidders this time will need to prove they have the funds to pay for the auction if they win, including making a refundable deposit of between 1 and 5% of the amount they would like to bid."
FYI -- the winning bidder will have to share dead space with Hugh Hefner ... dude reportedly paid a cool $1,000,000 for the plot directly next to her.

For $4.6 million, you can sleep with
Marilyn Monroe ... for all of eternity.
A woman in Los Angeles removed her dead husband from his crypt -- which is located right above Marilyn Monroe's at the Westwood Village Memorial Park and Cemetery -- and has put the plot for
sale on eBay.
The cemetery is also home to the likes of Natalie Wood, Jack Lemmon, Don Knotts, Rodney Dangerfield and Donna Reed.
Bidding ends at noon Monday.

Being dead for over 40 years or not a real person didn't stop cops at the Scottsdale, Ariz. P.D. from arresting Marilyn Monroe and Darth Vader.
TMZ obtained the Scottsdale PD's most recent Weekly Arrest Report and discovered a nasty charge of indecent exposure for a 76-year-old Marilyn Jean Monroe and identity theft by a 23-year-old Darth Vader. Anakin Skywalker has officially gone to the dark side!
We're told it was an innocent screw up, after the names and charges were entered during a computer systems test and wound up in the arrest log.
To the people of Scottsdale: May the farce be with you.

Lindsay Lohan attempted to channel the sex appeal of one of her "idols," Marilyn Monroe, in a photo shoot by Bert Stern, for New York Magazine. Rehab is a girl's best friend!
La Lohan had no problem stripping and assuming the same poses Monroe did in her infamous "last sitting" for Stern -- 46 years ago. Clad in not much more than diamonds and sheer fabric, Lindsay did the naked shoot with her younger sister, Ali, looking on. Such a good role model.

The people who control the late Marilyn Monroe's estate are incensed that a distant relative of Marilyn's assistant has been hording a massive store of her possessions, including letters, notes, bank statements -- even perfume -- and plans to sell it off.
Marilyn Monroe, LLC, the company that controls the star's posthumous holdings, is suing Millington Conroy, as well as a group of unnamed defendants, to stop them from auctioning or licensing any of the stuff they, according to the suit, have nabbed unlawfully. (Conroy is the son of Ruth Conroy, who was the sister-in-law of Inez Melson, who was Marilyn's assistant.) The suit alleges that back in 1994, Millington said in a deposition that all he had of Marilyn's were two pieces of correspondence between Ms. Melson and herself.
Turns out he had a lot more than that.
A spokesman for the estate of Marilyn Monroe said, "The parties are in discussions working toward a resolution of this matter, and a further statement will be issued subsequently."

The King may have left the building but his prescription pills are still here: A bottle that contained Elvis Presley's prescription antihistamines was sold this week at an auction for more than $2,600. That's a mighty expensive prescription plan! While the bottle still contained some of The King's original pills, L.A. County police told auction house Julien's that it would be a federal crime to sell the bottle with pills included.
Other unusual Hollywood ephemera sold during the auction included a gold-plated gun owned by the Elvis, which sold for more than $28,000; Alfred Hitchcock's passport, which went for more than $19,000; and a prop umbrella once used by Marilyn Monroe for $42,000. The umbrella will become part of the collection of the Museum of Style Icons in County Kildare, Ireland.

Anna always wanted to be like Marilyn, and now, with this eBay art treasure, Vickie Lynn is made entirely of pictures of Norma Jean.
Hundreds of tiny images of Marilyn are formatted to make one 8"x10" image of the late TRIMSPA spokeswoman, buried this past week in the Bahamas.
The seller created the artwork, and promises that no more than 25 will be released. Also sold in jumbo sizes!

On the witness stand, Howard K. Stern said that Anna Nicole Smith wanted to be buried near Marilyn Monroe in Los Angeles but that it was prohibitively expensive. He added that she thought she would die young, like Marilyn, and she thought she would die while giving birth to Dannielynn. "She talked of death really from the time that I met her," said Stern.
Stern said they also looked at burial plots in Burbank, Calif. Later, after Daniel died, the issue of burial "went back and forth for some time" said Stern, who suggested that Daniel be buried in L.A. Anna Nicole insisted that Daniel be buried in the Bahamas.
Said Stern, "She died emotionally when Daniel died. It was the reason why she didn't want to bury him than earlier than ... she did. It was the most difficult thing that I've ever seen anyone go through."
Stern also told the court that Anna's second husband J. Howard Marshall was "truly, truly the love of her life."

Forbes has once again released its annual Top-Earning Dead Celebrities list, and while it's no surprise why most of the buried big shots made the list (Kurt Cobain, John Lennon and Elvis are all still banking from music sales) there were two lifeless wonders that left us scratching our heads -- Albert Einstein and Marilyn Monroe.
According to Forbes, Marilyn Monroe raked in a cool $8 million last year, earning her the ninth spot on the dead earners list. But where is it all coming from? Nearly a half-century after her death, the blonde bombshell is still cashing in on her image -- or rather the licensing of it.
Just recently, Marilyn's image was used to sell perfume in Europe, Dom Perignon champagne, Absolut vodka and vehicles for General Motors. And don't forget about the thousands of lesser-known products with Marilyn's face on them ranging from t-shirts to posters. Just like J.F.K., seems like the world can't get enough Marilyn.

Paris Hilton is obviously not short on confidence. But this week she took her self-love to a new level by comparing herself to the legendary Marilyn Monroe. "There's nobody in the world like me," she told the UK's Sunday Times. "I think every decade has an iconic blonde - like Marilyn Monroe or Princess Diana - and right now, I'm that icon."
But wait...we have another contender for "iconic" status. She's not blonde, but Paris' rival and fellow sometimes-pop-singer Lindsay Lohan says people have told her that she's the new Marilyn. "Marilyn's best friend came over at the event (at which she wore a Monroe-inspired dress) and said she'd been taken aback because she thought I looked so much like Marilyn. It was incredible."
We're usually not shy around here about taking sides, but I think I'll stay out of this one. There's only one way to settle this. Anyone have two short white dresses and a wind machine? Maybe there's a street grate we can use outside of Hyde? I'm sure our man Josh Levine wouldn't mind filming such a competition.

NEW YORK -- In a Hollywood museum specializing in erotica, there lies a grainy tape of a woman having sex with a man on a couch. The museum says it's widely believed, though denied by her estate, that the woman is Marilyn Monroe, circa 1948.
Fast-forward some 60 years, past Rob Lowe and Pamela Anderson and Paris Hilton. The latest celebrity sex tape contains 14 minutes of seriously hard-core action between actor Colin Farrell and a former Playboy Playmate, punctuated by dialogue like: "Where's the zoom on this?"
But like his predecessors in the genre, Farrell's career is not likely to be harmed at all. In fact, it could even get bigger. It seems what we expect from our celebrities is radically different from what we expect from, say, our politicians. Or ourselves.
"The public is very forgiving," says Kate White, editor-in-chief of Cosmpolitan. "And very intrigued. It's not like, 'Oh no Colin, not you!"'
"It makes him more interesting," she says. "It gets his name out there. Now, if you or I had our own sex tape released ... we'd be in deep doo-doo."
It wasn't always thus. In the old days, Hollywood studios worked hard to suppress behavior they didn't like. Celebrities under contract had to sign morals clauses, says Jonathan Kuntz, a film professor at UCLA who specializes in Hollywood history.
