"Dancing with the Stars" heartthrob Mario Lopez will soon be dancing to a new tune: he'll be co-hosting "EXTRA's" weekend show alongside Tanika Ray.
"EXTRA's" Senior Executive Producer Lisa Gregorisch-Dempsey says, "Mario is a rapidly rising star and a dynamic personality on and off camera." Easy on the eyes too.
Never fear, though, you'll also be able to get your daily dose of Lopez as he joins joining Dayna Devon and Mark McGrath during the week on as a daily correspondent for the entertainment newsmagazine.
Watch as Mario makes his debut next week on the red carpet at the Golden Globes.
Hot dudes need beauty products too. Cameras caught an unglam Mario Lopez walking to Lee's Beauty Supply in Burbank ... maybe he needed a new headband to replace the one he was wearing. Lopez wasn't too thrilled about being filmed, telling cameras, "I'm lookin' tore up!" Still lookin' good.

The answer to who will win this season's "Dancing with the Stars" may just be in the stars.
AOL Horoscopes Astrologer Jeff Jawer peers into the constellations to see which of the "Dancing" finalists, Joey Lawrence, Mario Lopez or former NFL star Emmitt Smith, will waltz off with the finale's top prize.
"Taureans are known for their consistency, which should come in handy for Joey, but with Mars in Cancer on the day he was born," Jawer says, "it could bring emotion to his dancing that might make him more nervous heading into the finals." Whoa!

As it turns out, Frances, the celebs who appear on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" do get monetarily rewarded for all of the blood, sweat and tears they put into those grueling practices. However, according to past celebs, like season two winner Drew Lachey, the payoff is pocket change compared to the big ratings the network receives. It is reported that they get a measly (if that's what you want to call it) $245,000 for up to eight weeks of dancing. And for those of you too lazy to do the math, that breaks down to $30,625 a week. Do with that what you will.

Danny and Melinda are still going strong, Carissa. They are enjoying their engagement and living together in Boston. While they decided to air their proposal on MTV for the world to see, Danny doesn't seem to care for the idea of broadcasting their wedding or their lives after the ceremony. (And with the whole MTV curse, who can blame him? Shanna and Travis, Carmen and Dave, Nick and Jess...)

Lopez says Karina Smirnoff "hurt her back and neck in rehearsal" and doctors were summoned to the set. Lopez says Smirnoff is in pain, adding, "I hope she pulls it together. I'm nervous."
Mario, who is a favorite to win the competition, is scheduled to dance the tango tonight. The dance, known for it's jerky movements, could be particularly difficult for Smirnoff.
And a source on the set says at around 7:00 PM Eastern time, Karina was back rehearsing. Stay tuned.
