Smokin' hot Maxim model Joanna Krupa's fiance didn't just put a ring on it -- he put a small fortune on it.
Krupa was showing off her new accessory outside Katsuya last night, and told us her man dropped enough dough to get her 8.23 carats!
We're told by experts in the field of ice that a high quality 8 carat diamond can go for upwards of $1.5 million on the retail market -- but look at what he goes home to every night ... worth every penny.

There's another reigning beauty queen who took some very topless photos before she won her pageant -- but unlike Carrie Prejean, Miss Rhode Island USA's crown was never ever in jeopardy.
According to Alysha Castonguay, she dropped her top for a Maxim magazine shoot and a few swimsuit calenders way before her competition -- but there was no controversy over the pics because they were all seen and approved by the Miss USA pageant officials.
But Alysha tells TMZ she feels for Miss Cali saying, "I personally believe this situation is stemming from the controversy over her opinion and not a photo."
The final decision on dethroning Carrie Prejean is still being deliberated by the Miss USA and Miss California officials.

Janice Dickinson may think she knows modeling, but she doesn't know Maxim.
On Tuesday night's episode of "The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency," Dickinson argues with her business partner over the merits of a particular model, Fargo. Janice doesn't think Fargo is the type of model she wants to represent, while Peter thinks she is ready for Maxim. Turns out Peter was right.
Maxim Online features a hot photo shoot with the aforementioned Fargo, who, as you can clearly tell by the photo above, is Maxim worthy.

It wasn't a coincidence that Eva Longoria's character was reading Maxim magazine on Sunday's episode of 'Desperate Housewives.' That's because the popular men's mag has put Longoria on the top of their annual Hot 100 list for the second year in a row.

"American Idol" contestant Becky O'Donohue just doubled her exposure. The aspiring singer is featured alongside her twin sister, Jessie, in a series of sexy photos on the Maxim magazine Web site.
The 25-year-old twins pose in bikinis, unbuttoned baseball jerseys, and glistening with sweat in a sauna-like setting, wearing only towels.
The photos were taken two years ago for the magazine's online fantasy baseball game, said Jordan Burchette, executive editor of Maxim Online. The images "found new life" when O'Donohue became an "Idol" contestant, Burchette said.
