Sad but true ... the woman accused of stalking Justin Timberlake has already been banned from getting anywhere close to the boys from Metallica -- the rockers got a restraining order against her back in March.

The docs were filed in L.A. County Superior Court by drummer Lars Ulrich, who requested Karen Jane McNeil stay at least 150 yards away from all of the members of the band, their families and the people who run the Metallica fan club.
Timberlake was granted a restraining order against McNeil last week after claiming she had been coming to his home, entering through the gate and refusing to leave.
Axl Rose also had issues with McNeil beginning in 1995 -- she was eventually sentenced to a year in prison for violating a court order to stay away from the G 'N' R frontman.

Nothing in life is free -- unless you're famous -- but this time freebees have put Metallica's bass player in the middle of a serious legal battle.
Their new bassist, Robert Trujillo, had an existing promotional deal with Fernades Guitars in North Hollywood. For being able to use his likeness in advertising, Fernandes was giving Robert a pile of custom basses.
But Metallica has its own promo deal with ESP Guitars -- and now that Trujillo is an asset of Metallicorp, their lawyers have slapped Fernandes with a cease and desist letter demanding they no longer use Robert or Metallica's name or likeness.
Rock and roll used to be much cooler than this.

Supernova, the intended name for the manufactured band from the CBS reality series "Rock Star," has towed the line of a court order to change its name.

According to the group's label Epic Records, the group's new name will be Rock Star Supernova, which also was the official name of the series' second season. A spokesperson for the label says, "It's going to be Rock Star Supernova. That's their actual name."
The group had to make the change after a San Diego judge approved a preliminary injunction filed by a California punk trio called Supernova. The judge barred the TV band from "performing rock and roll music, or recording, or selling rock and roll music recordings under the same (name)."
Rock Star Supernova, featuring ex-Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke, Motley Crüe drummer Tommy Lee and singer Lukas Rossi, have posted two new songs online, "It's All Love" and "Be Yourself and 5 Other Cliches." Both are likely to appear on the group's debut album, which is set to hit shelves on November 21st. Wow! That's quicker than an "American Idol" record!

Some music rocks, while other music grooves. Blender Magazine has put together a list of the 25 Biggest Wusses Ever, and these artists just, well, whine.
Blender's list includes such notables as everyone in 'N SYNC (Except Justin), attacking the rest of the band's post-band careers or lack there of. They get some good digs in on Chris Martin of Coldplay for his "needy, apologetic tunes: He begs he pleads, he crumbles, he crawls." Nick Lachey gets no sympathy for his post divorce whine-fest in the article. " He makes Morrissey sound like a Pussycat Doll."
It's just not goody two-shoe's who get verbally smacked about. Heavy metal band Metallica are a target for their touchy-feely appearance in the documentary "Some Kinda Monster".
And who is the number one music wussie of all time? Find out for yourself in the August issue of Blender when the magazine hits newsstands July 18.
