Queen Latifah Throws Some Shade

TMZ caught galpals Queen Latifah and Missy Elliott at Villa last night -- though they went way overboard trying to hide their faces! Kinda hard to miss those two.

Pulling a Prince by practically parking on the sidewalk and using patio umbrellas to block paps, the shy duo jumped into a waiting SUV -- while paps sang Rihanna's "Umbrella."

Missy Gets Taste of Simple Life

Hip-hop queen Missy Elliott was feelin' like another, more svelte social butterfly, after TMZ caught up with her in NYC on Saturday.

Clad in some big ol' leather boots, Miss Misdemeanor walked to her car, after the Black Girls Rock! Awards at Lincoln Center, screaming, "I feel like Paris Hilton!" at cameras before disappearing into her car.

Missy did not follow her Paris-like activity with a DUI on a suspended license, or wash her car in a bathing suit, or adopt a pack of tiny dogs. Clever girl.

Missy Likes Cake

"She's got a cute face, chubby waist" -- and birthday to celebrate!

Hamptons nightclub DUNE hosted Missy Elliott's birthday bash. Misdemeanor's in the house! Queen Latifah, Samantha Cole and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas helped Missy celebrate her 36th bday. Oh no she isn't!

Underworldly Kate Beckinsale and director/hubby Len Wiseman celebrated the success of "Live Free or Die Hard" by shopping and canoodling in Soho. The 4th "Die Hard's" wrangled an estimated $33.2 million at the B.O. -- yippie-kay-ay, muthah-f**ker!

Scary looking Mickey Rourke lit up outside of Tao, flexing for his friends. Don't worry, the clip is brief.

All this and more in today's birfday edition of NY Star Catcher!

Missy Elliott Brings Life Story to Big Screen

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Missy Elliott will star in the big-screen version of her life story, Universal Pictures has announced.

The untitled project is in the development phase, studio spokeswoman Jennifer Chamberlain said Wednesday. The Elliott biopic will be produced by Robert De Niro and Jane Rosenthal through their company, Tribeca Films.

Elliott, 34, began her music career with the all-girl group, Sista. She has won four Grammys, including best rap solo performance for "Get Ur Freak On" in 2002.

She has released six solo albums, including last year's "The Cookbook." Her production credits include tracks for Janet Jackson, Justin Timberlake and Destiny's Child.
