Here's tough female "Hairspray" diva Nikki Blonsky in Santa Monica a while back (left) -- and male lead singer Antony Hegarty of indie music act Antony and the Johnsons at a concert in London this week (right).

Team Blonsky Leaves Reege Unscathed

In August, Carl spent nearly two weeks holed up in a Turks and Caicos jail after he and his tough "Hairspray" diva daughter got into a bitchfight with "America's Next Top Model" wannabeen Bianca Golden and her fam. They're all due back in court in December.
Until then, say cheese.

Carl Blonsky -- Protective Pop or Demented Dad?
The brawl at the Providenciales airport in Turks and Caicos may have pinned Nikki Blonsky's dad, Carl, as an alleged woman beating lunatic -- but a prank call against him from last year may paint him in a different light.
On the Elvis Duran radio show, Nikki and her mother prank call Carl, telling him Nikki wants to go nude in a film school flick a friend's making -- and she's already sent her friend the nude pics. Naturally, her father freaks out. So the question is: Does his reaction to the call make him sound crazy -- or like a protective father?
Mr. Blonsky is still in jail, and is due back in a Turks and Caicos court tomorrow to face a charge of grievous bodily harm.

Blonsky's Mom: She Couldn't Stop the Beat
In a video taken after the ferocious fight between Nikki Blonsky from "Hairspray" and Bianca Golden from "ANTM" -- Nikki's mom says her daughter was attacked for no reason.
Nikki Blonsky's mom pops up midway through the video -- shot at the Providenciales airport -- to say that Nikki was "just sitting there" when she was "punched in the head."
You can also hear another witness say "Tracy Turnblad" won't be "dancing around today" after the lady in the green shirt initiated the fight that sent Bianca's mom to the hospital and Nikki, Bianca, and Nikki's dad to jail.
