Pimp C -- The Calmest 911 Call Ever Made

TMZ has obtained the 911 call made from the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles in December -- where Pimp C was found dead in his hotel room.

Even when the caller found out the rapper wasn't breathing -- she didn't falter from her overly calm, conversational tone.

Pimp C Laid to Rest in Texas

Rapper Pimp C's funeral in Port Arthur, Texas is currently underway.


KFDM-TV cameras caught the hearse pulling up to the Robert A. Bowers Civic Center in the rapper's hometown this morning. As TMZ first reported Pimp C, aka Chad Butler, was found dead last week in his room at Hollywood's Mondrian Hotel.

According to KFDM, Jay-Z and Snoop Dogg had planned on attending -- but were no shows. We're told one time collaborator C-Murder also won't be able to make it. He's on house arrest awaiting his murder retrial. Rappers Bun B, Chamillionaire and Mike Jones were all in attendance.

Pimp C's Mom: This Is a Terrible Loss!

The late Pimp C's grieving mother is speaking out about the sudden death of her son. "Actually, we have very little idea of what happened," Weslyn "Mama Wes" Monroe told KFDM News. "C's business manager found his body in his hotel room in Los Angeles and we know he died in his sleep. Past that, we don't know anything."
