Cat Throwing Reality Star Pleads Guilty

Cat ThrowerKenley "Cat Thrower" Collins from "Project Runway" has been ordered by a judge to stay away from her former fiance for two years after pleading guilty to disorderly conduct.

Kenley -- the trash-talking, third place loser from season five of "Runway" -- was arrested last month after attacking her sleeping ex-fiance with the house cat. For good measure, she threw a laptop, several apples and water at her guy.

The fiance is history, but sadly the cat may still be hers.

"Runway" Star Jailed for Cat-astrophic Assault

Kenley CollinsOne of the most memorable -- and hated -- finalists from "Project Runway" is behind bars right now for allegedly fashioning a weapon out of a living, breathing, meowing cat ... and firing it at her ex-fiance!

Kenley Collins -- the trash-talking, third place loser from P.R. Season 5 -- was arrested in a Brooklyn home early yesterday morning, after the D.A. claims she attacked her sleeping ex-fiance with anything she could get her hands on -- including a cat, a laptop, several apples and finally ... water. It's like a design challenge turned violent!

It's unclear what started the fight, but according to legal papers Kenley told her ex, "You're lucky ... it could've been a lot worse."

Kenley was arrested and charged with six crimes -- including 2nd degree assault, 3rd degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon in the 4th degree.

No word on when Kenley is set to be released from jail.

"Project Runway's" Move Taking a Lifetime

"Project Runway" is unable to catwalk its way to Lifetime TV, thanks to a judge's ruling Friday that keeps the show under NBC Universal's suede leggings -- for now.

Problems started when NBC claimed the Weinstein Co. -- which produces the show -- made a $150 million deal with Lifetime. That move would remove the show from NBC's Bravo channel. NBC claims their "right of first refusal" for the show was violated.

All involved are set to return to court Oct. 15.

"Project Runway" Hits Turbulence

Project RunwayTMZ has learned that L.A. casting for the new season of "Project Runway" was a fashion disaster!

Sources tell TMZ that auditions held this weekend at the downtown Standard Hotel had a record low turnout. We're told that since lines were not very long, production staff members were "scrambling" to contact more up-and-coming designers to show up. In the words of the incomparable Tim Gunn, "Make it work!" Perhaps the fear of being 'auf'ed' by Season 3 winner Jeffrey Sebelia, who was a judge during this weekend's session, kept all the wannabe Donatellas and Gallianos away!

Other "Runway" alumni were spotted at the session, including Season 2's Nick Verreos and "bad boy" Santino Rice. Despite the L.A. faux pas, the new season of the highly addictive reality show is scheduled to premiere this summer.

A rep for "Project Runway" could not be immediately reached.

Go Fur-Free & Win Tix to Fashion Show

Jay McCarrollNineteen months after winning the first season of "Project Runway," Jay McCarroll is finally debuting his clothing line on September 15 during NY Fashion Week.

To celebrate, McCarroll, in collaboration with The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), is giving away two tickets (plus airfare and hotel) to a fan who promises to go fur-free.

Interested fashionistas need to first pledge to never buy products that use fur or fur trim. Sorry J.Lo and Beyoncé.

Next, they need to get their friends to sign the pledge too. Whoever recruits the most fur-less friends by September 8 will win the tix to see Jay in the Big Apple.

Everyone who signs the pledge will also be entered in a drawing to win one of McCarroll's handbags.

McCarroll proves you can have a killer look without hurting a fly -- or a fox.

Najimy Says Auf Wiedersehen to "Project Runway"

Kathy NajimyKathy Najimy won't be watching "Project Runway" anymore.

The former "Veronica's Closet" star is upset with "dangerous" comments made by Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn on last week's episode pertaining to plus-size women.

Najimy, who over the years has lost 160 lbs, sent a passionate e-mail to Bravo exec Andy Cohen, who is a friend of Kathy's, outlining her grievances with the episode, which Cohen has since posted on his blog.

Kathy took particular issue with Gunn calling one of the runway models "zaftig" (pleasantly plump) and Heidi's comment that an outfit made a model look plus-size, which Najimy believes implied that plus-size was "the ultimate of horrors."

"Project Runway" Going Once, Going Twice...Sold!

The best part of watching Bravo's "Project Runway," well besides the drama, contestant cat fights, model meltdowns, Tim Gunn, the judges' (sometimes) catty commentary, and Heidi Klum's contestant kiss-aufs, is seeing the fab fashions made by the designers.

And now you can actually own the couture creations seen on each week's episode via an online auction at http://projectrunway.auction.seenon.com.

After an episode's initial airing on Wednesday evening, that week's designs are put up for auction. Fans then have until the start of the next week's episode, the following Wednesday, to place bids for their favorite outfit.

Recently, Michael's winning Pam Grier inspired pink number went for $480, while Angela's Audrey Hepburn-esque black dress sold for a whopping $1455. Bradley's losing design, a Cher-inspired (really?) get up, went for a paltry $105.

TV Fashion: "Entourage" and "Project Runway"

When Kevin Dillon wore a tattooed long-sleeved t-shirt on last Sunday's episode of "Entourage," the fashion scene exploded with questions about its mysterious designer. Turns out Yellowman on Robertson Blvd. in LA is behind the seams of the new hot item. The shirts, for both men and women, are designed by famous tattoo artists worldwide. But they're more than cool shirts--they're ultra-comfortable too. Thanks to Yellowman's newfangled technical fabric, the garments can breathe. Here's Kevin Dillon's White Dragon t-shirt designed by Valerie from Russia, priced at $218.00.

There's more trendsetting going on from the "Entourage" gang. Fashion critics raved at the must-have dress Perrey Reeves rocked to the show's premiere, designed by "Project Runway" star Uli Herzner. Reeves picked up the dress at Horn Fashion boutique, the only store in LA that carries Herzner's unique designs.

But Perry isn't the only star sporting Uli Herzner designs. "Step Up" star Alyson Stoner was also spotted in Uli garb. Stoner's stylists were having trouble getting a dress to fit her because her youthful body was constantly changing--but Uli's dress did the trick. Herzner's flattering-on-everyone designs have been flying out of the store ever since her stint on "Project Runway."

While Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez may beg to differ, Jay says "With so many fun and fashionable alternatives, there's no reason to use fur."

Other designers and retailers forgoing the use of animal fur in their collections include Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, H+M and J.Crew.

Life After 'Project Runway'

'Project Runway's most recent season may have ended, but that hasn't stopped two of the show's finalists, Nick Verreos and Santino Rice, from causing a commotion.

Nick Verreos & Santuro Rice

By the end of 'Runway's' season finale it seemed like the two were archenemies - which is why fans of the reality show were shocked to find Nick and Santino together outside a West Hollywood, Calif. nightclub last week. The dynamic duo, who just happen to bump into each other, caused a fan frenzy, posing for pics while catching up on each other's post-show happenings.

'Project Runway' Premiere Tonight

Even with lawsuits recently filed against its host, its network and a slew of sponsors: 'Project Runway' premieres its second season tonight at 10PM EST.

The show pits 16 unknown fashion designers against each other to win $100,000 plus a fashion spread in Elle magazine, and the most surprising thing is, most of the contestants actually have talent.

'Project Runway' was an unexpected hit in 2004; at least with the critics. It was nominated for an Emmy, but it didn't do well in the ratings. Still, it was an addictive show from day one, more unique than 'Survivor' and way more fierce than 'America's Next Top Model.'

The Teutonic supermodel Heidi Klum will once again serve as hostess of the show; it's her "You're either in or out" and final "Auf Wiedersehen" that sends a contestant home each week, a la Donald Trump's "You're fired." Designer Michael Kors and Elle magazine's fashion director Nina Garcia will once again serve as judges, with special judge appearances from fashion icons like Diane Von Furstenberg.
