Robert Downey Jr. really is back ... better than ever.

Here's 25-year-old Downey back in 1991(left) -- and 18 years later, the 43-year-old version at the Oscars this week (right).
Getting arrested and going to rehab a bunch of times really does the body good.

Guy Ritchie knows if you want to have a low key night out ... just hit the town with two huge actors.

The soon-to-be ex Mr. Madonna hung with Jude Law and Robert Downey Jr., his "Sherlock Holmes" stars, in London on Thursday.
Blowing off steam during a messy divorce is elementary, my dear Watson.

A paparazzo has filed suit in Federal court alleging Paramount and Marvel Entertainment swiped a pic he took off the internet and used it in "Iron Man" -- without paying him!

Ronnie Adams says he legally snapped the first photos of Robert Downey Jr. on set in his "Iron Man" getup. He posted them on a friend's website, only to have the studio shut it down. Then, months later, Adams saw one of his pics in the movie. He says the studio removed his watermark and used the image without his permission.
A rep from Paramount could not be reached for comment. Marvel told us they hadn't seen the lawsuit yet.

George Michael is performing on tonight's "Idol" finale, but he ain't "the biggest star in the world" that Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe has been touting -- our spies tell us, it's "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr.

TMZ moles say the finale will include a virtual hologram of Gladys Knight singing "Midnight Train to Georgia" with Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Downey Jr. singing backup as the Pips. Holy Nat King Cole! "Idol" did this last season when Celine Dion sang along side a virtual undead Elvis. For the record, Gladys Knight is still alive.
We're told the Jonas Brothers, ZZ Top, Seal, Bryan Adams, One Republic, Jordin Sparks and Carrie Underwood will also perform before David Archuleta (or possibly maybe, but not likely, Cook) is crowned the winner.

"Grindhouse" gal Rosario Dawson was outside of Chateau Marmont on Saturday night, unafraid to flash a wacky face for photogs. Say cheese, pussycat!
Also in L.A.: Ben Stiller, Christine Taylor and Robert Downey, Jr. posed for a group pic, while Mr. Chow fed George "The Tan" Hamilton, gunslinger Clint Eastwood and comedian Jerry Seinfeld. "Species" alien Natasha Henstridge almost ate it on a hill, and Christina Milian was hipster-hot on Sunset.
All this and more in todays "shape-shifting" edition of Star Catcher!

The Queen at the same party as Gummi Bear? Something isn't right here.
TMZ spotted a (mostly) award-winning crew at the L.A. Confidential party at the Mondrian last night, where one G-lister stuck out like a sore thumb: parade balloon oil heir Jason "Gummi Bear" Davis, dressed in a conspicuous black suit, lengthy white scarf and sunglasses. Gummi didn't quite fit in with the likes of "The Queen" star Helen Mirren, Ben Affleck and Ryan Gosling -- who left hand-in-hand with someone other than girlfriend Rachel McAdams.
In Beverly Hills, TMZ also caught future "Iron Man" Robert Downey Jr., Red Hot Chili Pepper Flea, genius director John Waters, and "Brothers and Sisters" stars Balthazar Getty (another oil heir) and Rachel Griffiths at Mr Chow.
All this and more in today's pre-Oscar Star Catcher.

The TMZ team was all over the place this past weekend scoping out all the hotspots to bring you another, much older edition of Star Catcher.
Our weekend started of with a bang as we were on our way to check out Carrie Fisher's 50th birthday party when we ran into "That '70s Show" star Ashton Kutcher. The hunky actor, there without wife Demi Moore, headed to his car but not before he threw up a peace sign to fans and photog seekers.
Once at Carrie's birthday bash, we found a bevy of celebs. Matthew Perry, Robert Downey Jr., "Swingers" star Jon Favreau, veteran actor Kevin Nealon, "Star Wars" director George Lucas, and Sharon Stone who showed up sporting a red bindi on her forehead.
Also out over the weekend Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean, comedian David Spade, "Dancing With the Stars" party girl Cheryl Burke, pro skater Chad Muska, "Lost" star Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje and a rare appearance by "Goodfellas" gangster Ray Liotta.

So you thought you had seen it all when it comes to celeb memorabilia? Sure you heard about Britney's chewing gum selling on eBay, but we've found a website that takes selling stars' personal junk to a whole new level.
At BlackPitchPress.com you can find such items as celebrity fecal matter, skin cells and bacteria. We wish we were joking, but we're not. You can get your hands on Jack Black's waste for the low price of $92.00 dollars. Gary Busey and Robert Downey Jr are also among the list of fecal sample donors.
Click here... it's not over yet

Entertainment Weekly's Must List Party brought out the cream of the crop in New York last night.
Hot actors Terrence Howard and Sam Rockwell arrived ready to party. Divas Nelly Furtado and Xtina showed up, hot on the heels of the release of their newest singles. Xtina performed a hot and steamy set for the celebrity crowd.
"Fantastic Four"s Chris Evans joked about his "Nanny Diaries" co-star Scarlett Johanson and gave us an update on the new "Fantastic Four" movie. A playful Robert Downey Jr. tried to hide from photogs behind the backdrop, while Scott Speedman became the photogs' best friend by snagging two gift bags for them.
