The lead singer of Nickelback is accused of beating the crap out of a furniture sales representative -- but the alleged victim claims it's Chad Kroeger's lack of remorse that hurts the most.
In the lawsuit, filed in the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Noah Morse claims Kroeger "punched [him] forcefully in the mouth" while outside of a Vancouver bar back in 2007.
Morse says the devastating hit to the kisser made him lose consciousness, suffer a concussion and caused extensive damage to his grill -- including "one deadened front tooth... dislodged upper front teeth and permanent discoloration of more front teeth."
Morse -- who says Kroeger "expressed no remorse" over the fight -- is suing for a fistful of reasons, including loss of income and medical expenses.

The artist known as Prince will also be known as defendant -- accused of some seriously cutthroat business tactics in a book deal gone sour.
According to a lawsuit filed yesterday in L.A. County Superior Court, a literary agency claims Prince chose them as his "exclusive agent with respect to the negotiations of a publishing deal" for a book called "21 Nights" and a special limited edition version.
In the documents, the agency claims in the final stages of the deal, Prince stopped calling them back -- and then went behind their back to finish the negotiations -- thus screwing the company out of it's 15% commission.
The agency is now suing for it's 15% -- about $200,000. Practically chump change for the Purple One.

Dave Navarro is apparently having "big" fun since his split from Carmen Electra; he was caught, er, snatching up a pack of Trojan Magnum condoms on Saturday.
The "Baywatch" babe's estranged rocker husband made a late-night stop at a Los Angeles gas station to pick up a plus-sized pack. Fill 'er up!
Whether they're just for show or actually fit, we're glad Davey's keeping it safe.

After all the reality TV show hoopla that followed with last year's Rock Star: INXS quest to find a new singer for the group, JD Fortune and Co. today were dropped by their label Epic Records.
Meanwhile, this year's incarnation, Rock Star Supernova, may have to change its name after a San Diego judge last week approved a preliminary injunction filed by an Orange County, Calif. punk trio with the same name. The judge barred the TV band from "performing rock and roll music, or recording, or selling rock and roll music recordings under the same (name), pending a trial of this action on its merits, or until otherwise ordered by the court."
And you wanted to be a rock star...

On his first official night in Tommy Lee's band, Supernova, "Rock Star" winner Lukas Rossi may have already forgotten where he came from -- by leaving his girlfriend out in the cold as he partied with the band.
After the show's finale, Rossi pulled up to the after-party with Tommy Lee and the two walked right into the club. Rossi's girlfriend, Francesca, was not allowed in and waited around, clearly distressed, for her boyfriend to come to her rescue. He never did.
The jilted Francesca was even offered some help by show cast-off Dilana but not even the multi-color haired rocker could get her in.
Lukas did come out and talk to his girlfriend briefly but then went back inside the party solo. Before leaving, an agitated Francesca told photographers outside the club she wasn't allowed in because Rossi wasn't supposed to be seen with a girlfriend.

"Rock Star: Supernova" hasn't even finished it's run yet but CBS is already gearing up for next year's season.
A source tells TMZ, despite having less than rock star ratings, CBS has renewed the show for a third season.
And while no band has been attached to the show in the vain of INXS and Supernova yet, we have learned that next year the contestants will consist entirely of women. Somewhere Tommy Lee is smiling.
While this doesn't bid well for all the wannabe Bonos out there, all you Courtney Loves-in-waiting should start readying your ripped fishnets now.
TMZ contacted a rep for CBS but have yet to hear back.

You know you've hit rock star status when you're traveling around the world on a mega-yacht with half-naked beauties frolicking around you. And no, we're not talking about Diddy.
That's exactly what Lenny Kravitz did this weekend. During a trip off the coast of Italy, Kravitz laid low as a passing helicopter flew over the yacht and caught the ladies' attention, causing them jump up (exposing the goods), wave like crazy and smile to the passersby.
Whether Kravitz is rocking out on stage, wearing something unique or gallivanting around the planet, it's obvious that the man is a pure rock star, living the life some men only dream of.

Reality TV fanatics get a new installment of "Rockstar" tonight as Dave Navarro and Brooke Burke return for a "rock and roll" version of the Idol-esque show. This year, instead of finding a singer for an existing band like they did for INXS last season, the show focuses on finding a singer for the newly created supergroup Supernova.
Tommy Lee of Motley Crüe, Jason Newstead formerly of Metallica and one-time Guns 'N Roses guitarist Gilbey Clarke will audition 15 singers whittled down from thousands of applicants around the world. The winner of the competition will record an original CD with Supernova, to be co-written and produced by Butch Walker, Rolling Stone Magazine's 2005 "Hot Producer of the Year." The CD will be released in the fall and will be supported by a worldwide tour in early 2007.
Tonight's special 90-minute episode kicks off at 9pm EST on CBS. Based on the preview episode on the "Rockstar" website, the guys have chosen some pretty sweet finalists. There is definitely at least one rock star in this group.
The only question will be whether they are crazy enough to survive a tour with Tommy Lee?
