If Matt Damon died in the treacherous mountains of Palos Verdes, it's certainly news to him.
Damon was on Letterman last night, where when asked about a ridiculous fake article that announced his death -- which INCORRECTLY cited TMZ as a source -- Matt replied, "I haven't heard, but I feel pretty good."

Sarah Jessica Parker did a little window shopping yesterday -- with a real estate agent! While SJP looked at an available brownstone, her hubby/legally bound partner Matthew Broderick, was clearly missing from the excursion.
Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Guess those Mickey Rouke and Courtney Love hook-up rumors aren't true -- because last night in NYC he said he'd rather be stuck on an island with only the company of "a gorilla" than hit that.

What infidelity rumors?
Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick had dinner in NYC last night despite rampant Internet rumors about Matthew cheating. If they go out in public together, they must be happy!
Looks like neither has broken things off yet, via Post-it or otherwise.

TMZ has independently confirmed that Nicole Richie is pregnant.
The starlet has been dating Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden for over six months. Rumors have been swirling for months that Richie and Madden were expecting, but TMZ has confirmed through several sources that she is, in fact, with child. In Touch magazine is also reporting that the couple will wed this summer. Richie is currently facing DUI charges stemming from her arrest last December, when she was found driving the wrong way on a California highway.
Richie's trial is set for July 11. If convicted, she faces a minimum of five days in jail.
Richie's rep did not return repeated calls for comment.

Paul McCartney is lashing back against rumors that he stood-up the "American Idol" finale last night (which was attended by his ex Heather Mills), after reports claim he screwed producers by backing out at the last minute.
In an exclusive statement to TMZ, McCartney's rep slammed the idle chatter, claiming that "Paul was never scheduled or approached to appear on the Idol finale." The rep added, "Even if he were, he likely would've needed to decline as he is in the throes of promoting the June 5th release of his new album. With that in mind, it would likely make it difficult to refer to him as a no-show."
Calls to "Idol" reps were not immediately returned.
You heard the news today, oh boy.

TMZ was first to report that George Hamilton was a front-runner to grab Bob Barker's stick mic as the replacement "Price is Right" host ... but now it seems that the perennially tan Hamilton may have been beached.
New sources tell TMZ that John O'Hurley is the leader of the pack, saying, "He auditioned and they loved him!" Reps from CBS declined to comment on either of the candidates. O'Hurley, best known as Mr. Peterman on "Seinfeld," has appeared as host on numerous shows, including Mrs. America, the Emmys and "Family Feud." He also showed that he has all the right moves on the first season of "Dancing with the Stars." Spin that wheel!
Perhaps they should all just play a competition round of Plinko!
UPDATE -- Or maybe not. Sources now tell TMZ that O'Hurley loves doing "Family Feud," "hated" doing "Price is Right," and would only take the gig if producers paid him a ton of money!
Could this all be a ploy to drive down the asking price of the two guys that really, really want the gig (Mark Steines and Todd Newton)?
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Through his rep, John O'Hurley tells TMZ, "I would be honored to be considered to take over for Bob Barker and replace someone that I admire so much." His rep adds that Hurley didn't hate doing "Price is Right" -- in fact, he has never even hosted it!

HOW IT SPREAD: The fact is, the two were once an item, so the rumor wasn't really a stretch when they were spotted at Nobu. And people at the restaurant -- including paparazzi -- said the pair acted more like a couple than casual friends. Indeed, we're told Richards pretty much spent the night talking to Stamos and ignoring her other friends.
They certainly have something in common these days. Both have recently separated from their mates -- John and Rebecca Romijn divorced last year, and Denise is ending her marriage to Charlie Sheen.
THE TMZ LOWDOWN: There are mixed signals on this one. Someone who knows both Stamos and Richards tell TMZ that the relationship is nothing more than a friendship. Richards' spokesperson, Jill Fritzo, echoes that sentiment. But, two people who know Richards well say that the pair seemed to be rekindling something that evening. Interestingly, neither Stamos nor Richards have been linked to anyone else since separating from their spouses.
If Stamos' history is a predictor of the future, however, he's looking for someone high-profile like Richards. Before marrying Romijn, he dated other famous women, including Demi Moore and Paula Abdul.
