It seems that the co-stars of the new movie "Rendition" may have connected with a little more than just hefty paychecks. 
According to OK! Magazine, Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have been spotted hopping between each other's homes and hotel rooms! Reese, who separated from husband Ryan Phillippe on October 30, is seen in this photo taken two short weeks later, laughing and playing with Jake -- not appearing to be in any post-marital despair. By the way, she's not pregnant -- it's part of the movie.
TMZ contacted both Witherspoon's and Gyllenhaal's reps for comment, but neither calls nor emails were immediately returned.

It's been a grueling year for celebrity relationships, and as we reach TMZ's one-year anniversary, we'd like to take a moment to remember the Tinseltown relationships that didn't make it through the year. This year's breakups have been some of the messiest, saddest and most shocking splits to hit La La Land.
Most recently Britney Spears won back millions of fans by ditching her dead beat husband Kevin Federline. Britney filed for divorce this week in Los Angeles citing "irreconcilable differences," but most people blame K-Fed's embarrassing attempt at a rap album, bad hygiene and constant partying. The burning question -- how much dough will Federline dance away with?
Britney wasn't the only pop sensation to say "I don't" this year. Former "Newlyweds" Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey announced their split in November, 2005. The two didn't have a pre-nup. In the end, they settled out of court, and Nick walked away with a lot less from Jess, sans stress.

Even though Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe are very much on their way to a full split, as TMZ reported earlier today, is there any hope at all that the pair could get back together? Only if you believe the astrological evidence, as AOL Horoscope suggests.
Using its own Quick Compatibility Report through Tarot.com, the gurus at AOL Horoscopes think that the relationship might be salvaged if the pair could work together for a charitable cause -- the pair are well known for their devotion to such good works. But an overall assessment of their situation isn't terribly rosy. Reese, an Aries, is determined to make her dreams a reality, while Virgo Ryan is a "perfectionist." Though the Aries might convince herself that the Virgo will make her a better person, the Aries doesn't actually want to change and the Virgo can be overly critical.
Perhaps the stars really can help explain what happened to one of Tinseltown's golden couples.

TMZ has learned that Reese Witherspoon's fortune is fair game as her marriage to Ryan Phillippe comes to an end-- specifically, there is no prenup.
The financial consequences are enormous. Witherspoon now commands $20 million a movie. In 2005, Witherspoon raked in a total of $30 million for two movies, "Just Like Heaven" and "Walk the Line."
Phillippe has been commanding around $2.5 million a film, making him bankable, but clearly not in his estranged wife's league.
Under California law, without a prenup, earnings during a marriage are divided up 50/50.
Connected sources also tell TMZ on a scale of one to ten, one being a peaceful breakup and ten being Hasselhoff, the Witherspoon/Phillippe split is a three. And, we're told, it will almost certainly stay peaceful, partly because of the children and partly because of the couple's personalities.
We're told there is no talk of reconciliation and that divorce papers are merely a matter of time.

Madonna claimed this morning that she initially tried to give her recently -adopted baby's father money, so he could raise the boy himself, but he turned her down. And this, said Madge, she took as a sign that she should adopt him herself.
The Queen of Pop told Meredith Vieira on "Today" that she "couldn't really understand" Yohane Banda's decision not to take her money, especially because he had "moved to another village and was kind of getting on with his life." When he declined the money, Madonna said she regarded it as "my sign that ... it was my responsibility to look after [David]."
Madonna also defended her decision to get little David indoctrinated into the Kabbalah fold early. "I believe in Jesus and I study kabbalah," she said. "So, I don't see why he can't, too." And as for David himself, Mama Madge said that the kid (like his adoptive mother) has "a terrible temper," that he's "flirtatious," and "hysterically funny."
