Sean Lennon was chowing down with mom Yoko Ono this weekend in NYC -- and caught us catching him in the middle of an exploration for buried nose gold.
Like the rest of us, Sean Lennon is just "trying to make a living" in these tough economic times -- something that must be hard to do when your dad was only in one of the biggest moneymaking groups of all time.
Imagine there's no Jonas Brothers .... It's easy if you try -- at least according to John Lennon's son.
Not only does Sean not know who the hell those guys are, but outside LAX yesterday the 32-year-old Beatle spawn asked if they were, "like a Disney cartoon or something?" Yeah, something like that.
You can't expect a guy and his lady friend to know about pop culture, when they just stepped out of "The Great Gatsby!"

It's a scary world out there -- and while Charlize Theron went ballistic on our cameraman after her flight to Denver, Robert Englund proved he's still the world's favorite dreamland serial killer, Freddy Krueger.
Also: Sean Lennon dissed the Jonas Brothers and Lisa Leslie showed off her babies -- her one-year-old daughter and her brand spankin' new Olympic gold medal.

The son of John Lennon and Yoko Ono knows his autograph isn't exactly on par with a rocker like Bono -- telling paps they'd have to pay people to take his signature. He might be right -- there are no listings for Sean Lennon autographs on eBay.
Also in NY: Neil Patrick Harris and boyfriend David Burtka gave their Super Bowl pick, and Ice-T and CoCo got someone else's attention. In L.A.: Jason Lee, a tongue-happy Meagan Good and David Arquette.

Kristen Bell got a folder full of hockey trading cards from a fan in New York last night -- and was actually excited about it! The Detroit native -- go Red Wings! -- is a hockey fanatic, despite having broken both wrists playing the sport when she was younger.
Also in New York -- Bell's glammed-out "Heroes" co-star, Hayden Panettiere, Serena Williams, Sean Lennon, Ashford & Simpson, Mr. Chow (at Mr. Chow) and the hidden talent of Stevie Wonder.
All this and more in today's heroic edition of Star Catcher New York.

We mean Sean Lennon and first daughter Barbara Bush -- and they weren't so much hanging out as coming out of the Calvin Klein event moments apart. Still -- that's one bi-partisan invite list.
Also spotted were Mischa Barton, Liev Schreiber & Naomi Watts and Michelle Trachtenberg, but somehow we can't get over seeing those two famous heirs in the same place.
Which one has the most to live up to? Son of legendary peacenik John Lennon or daughter of pro-military president George W. Bush? Now that "Death of a President" has premiered, do they both have assassination nightmares?
We hope they spent the whole evening brokering a truce between the red and blue states, but we aren't counting on it.

It was another action-packed weekend in LA as TMZ's cameras hit the street for an exciting weekend version of Star Catcher.
Outside Hollywood hot spot Hyde, we ran into "Girl Next Door" star Elisha Cuthbert with her boyfriend, Los Angeles Kings player Sean Avery. The hockey star seemed a little overprotective of his blonde bombshell, going so far as to give an autograph seeker the evil eye and a few choice words.
Christina Aguilera was spotted heading into Les Deux sporting her platinum blonde look and dressed to impress. The Grammy winning pop star showed up to the trendy spot with her standard "large" entourage getting out of a white Bentley and setting off flashbulbs.
Also out on the town over the weekend were Mary-Kate Olsen, Sean Lennon, "Jackass" star Johnny Knoxville, Josh Charles, and funny man David Spade
All this and much more in this weekend version of Star Catcher.

The "Grudge Report" a site that parodies the famous news gathering site "Drudge Report" has appeared on the internet. The offending website is an advertisement for the upcoming Lions Gate documentary " The U.S. vs. John Lennon."
The documentary chronicles Lennon the peace activist as opposed to Lennon the Beatle and his troubles with the U.S. government- from the legal wrangling involving FBI files to the goverment try to deport him. The film will have interviews with Lennon's widow Yoko Ono, Walter Cronkite, Geraldo Rivera, activist Angela Davis, and Watergate ex-con G. Gordon Liddy.
While a parody of websites is nothing new, the act of re-creating a news website with the intent to promote a documentary about a peace activist is. Was Drudge irked? Who knows. But he did post the headline "Paramount Movie Campaign Mocks Drudge Report...."
"The U.S. vs. John Lennon" is set to be released in September.

Being the son or daughter a famous performer is never easy, particularly when you decide to enter your parents' line of work. It's even harder when your father is one of the greatest songwriters in modern music history. Sean Lennon, Beatle John Lennon's son, has had a bigger shadow to walk in than most. He's even had to weather comparisons to his half-brother Julian who has had a couple of top ten hits.
Sean released his first record "Into The Sun" in 1998 around the time he was performing with critically acclaimed Cibo Matto. Since then, there was an EP and many side projects but no second full length record until now. Sean is back with a band with not only a new record, but with a companion film full of hotties The record is called "Friendly Fire" and is due out in September. But some of the early buzz is focusing on the lovely ladies appearing in a series of short films
Directed by Michele Civettam, the shorts include a bevy of beauties including Lindsay Lohan, Bijou Phillips, Asia Argento, Carrie Fisher, Devon Aoki and Jordana Brewster. Sean and the ladies will act out various themes found on the record. We'll have to wait to see how good the songs are, but you won't find many arguing with Sean's taste in women!
