The bad news: Rod Stewart's son Sean just wrecked a Bentley Continental GTC worth about $200,000.
The good news: It was a rental.
We're told Sean wrecked the Bentley on Sunset Blvd., near Boa Steakhouse. It happened at around 3 PM PT. He was renting the expensive ride from Beverly Hills Rent-A-Car for $2,500 a day.
The rental place tells us they don't sell coverage on high end vehicles ... so it looks like Sean may be in the hole anyway.
UPDATE: A rep for Sean tells us he was a passenger in the car and a female was driving at the time. We're told she lost control and hit the curb.

Having a rock star for a dad doesn't automatically get you a green light into all the hot Hollywood clubs. Sean Stewart was denied entrance into Villa again last night, and he literally ran away once he was told he was a no go.
It's nice to see he took it well.

Cindy Crawford took time from her busy schedule this weekend (we guess) to pose for pics with fans -- despite complaining she had to leave. Those Pepsi ads stopped airing a looooong time ago.
Others out in full force were a couple of spoiled rich kids, kooky Ellen Pompeo, a tatted rocker who doesn't do much rocking these days and a big witch.
Sounds like your average night in LaLa Land, or Star Catcher.

The way a club establishes that it's the place to be is by not letting certain people inside -- a fact Rod Stewart's hair gel-loving son, Sean, became familiar with last night! Where's a brick when you need one?
Sean's frustration is priceless -- especially when he gets sandwiched behind the front door -- because "no" is a word celebuspawn aren't used to hearing.

Rod Stewart, 62, hung out with hung Hollywood bad boy Tommy Lee last night -- and Rod's kids too.
The Stewart clan had dinner at Il Sole last night, where Kimmy brought friend Tommy to dine with the fam. The party then moved on to Hyde, where Rod partied with his kiddos until 1:00 AM. Way to keep it forever young, dad!

TMZ camera's caught Sean Stewart and his father Rod last night at Koi in Los Angeles. Oh yeah, Sean's smokin' hot stepblonde, Penny Lancaster, was there too. Who says boys night out can't have a little estrogen in the mix?
When asked about Kiefer's DUI and Britney's bodyguard -- Sean and Rod stayed tight lipped. Like father, like son.

In New York, it seems that face contortionist John Mayer took a break from hammerin' Cameron to contemplate the automatic trunk on his truck. Close sesame!
Mother lovin' Jeremy Piven was seen backin' dat truck up, after a trip to Colony Plaza in Malibu to buy an L.A. Times. Maybe he was checkin' to see if anyone gave "Smokin' Aces" a good review yet. Nope.
Outside of Chateau Marmont, Ashley Olsen got the Good Samaritan award for not running over any bumper humpin' photogs, and English bulldog Robbie Williams wagged his tuxedo tails and said, "I don't go to clubs anymore ... I don't like music or people." Take that!
Sean "Brick Brat" Stewart kept his mortar cannons in check while entering Il Sole, and an illin' solo Byron Allen and a date-laden Bill Maher grubbed it up at Mr. Chow.
Russell Simmons is on the just-divorced diet -- eating a tofu dinner at Koi. At Club Opera, the Black Eyed Peas court composer Allan Pineda Lindo said he's taking a break from the studio to chill -- while Fergie is busy stayin' hot!

Celebuspawn Sean Stewart, son of Rod, took time off from his busy alleged brick throwing schedule to earn his Malibu degree in beach kinesiology!
Rod's misguided gene pool took a dip in the Pacific with friends this weekend, but all was not calm on the waterfront. Attempting to rid his human boa, Stewart went for the push ... but she had other ideas -- showing Sean her spot-on impression of an "Aliens" facehugger. Encore!
Brick Brat is due back in court on September 19, facing multiple felony charges.

Clean cut and quiet, Sean Stewart rolled up to L.A. County Criminal Court earlier today, where Rod's kid affirmed that he's fighting the brick-bashing charges against him "all the way."
TMZ caught up with the "Sons of Hollywood" star outside of court, where he told cameras he felt "good" about today's events inside the courtroom. Stewart, accompanied by his manager David Weintraub, asked his reps how to answer the burning question, "Are you going to fight this all the way?" His rep quickly responded "Yes, absolutely." It's clear they're hoping that they don't throw the brick book at Sean.
A preliminary hearing was set for September 18. Stewart faces four felony charges, including assault with a deadly weapon and vandalism.

Diddy rocked the Hamptons Tuesday night -- but he didn't even make his grand entrance until 2:45 AM!
TMZ cameras were at Whitehouse, where Diddy was scheduled to make a promotional appearance. The self-proclaimed Bad Boy rolled in with his crew in the wee hours, though the crowd didn't seem to mind his late arrival. Can't nobody hold him down!
Also spotted in NYC over the holiday: Paris Hilton wannabe Natalie Reid, who was at WhiteHouse in a barely there black dress, and Kelly Osbourne, who was looking Muppetesque with her Manic Panic pink hair.
Across the country in L.A., TMZ was at a non-Paris Hiltoncentric 4th of July party in Malibu, where David Weintraub was caught frolicking with ladies in the surf and Sean Stewart showed off his coin slot. Also driving by was Pamela Bach, who was partying with her girlfriends.

Rod Stewart's son believes that the couple suing him for allegedly bashing them with a brick during an alleged early morning attack a few months back are only after him because of who he is.
One day after Stewart was arrested in Hollywood on charges of assault and battery, his lawyer is firing back in a statement to TMZ:
"We have conducted an extensive investigation since these allegations were first raised. We have interviewed numerous witnesses who were at the party on the night of the incident. Our investigation has revealed that what occurred on the night of the incident is much different than what the complaining witness has alleged.
We will share our investigation with the prosecution at the appropriate time. Our investigation has shown that the alleged victim only named Sean Stewart as a suspect after hearing that Mr. Stewart was at the party that night and that the alleged victim had a financial motive to make these allegations against Mr. Stewart.
Our investigation has also revealed that any crimes which may have been committed that night, were in fact committed by the person who claims to be the victim."

Lindsay Lohan should learn that hiding behind a giant picture of herself isn't exactly the stealthiest way to make a nightclub exit.
TMZ caught LiLo leaving last night's party for Nylon Magazine -- which has Lohan's mug plastered on the cover -- with Brit boytoy Callum Best, momentarily hiding behind an oversized photo of herself before ditching the less-than-sneaky disguise.
Kate Bosworth and Tera Patrick were out in New York with their men, English model James Rousseau and rocker Evan Seinfeld respectively -- the porn star and her hubby sent a special message to TMZ.
In L.A., Sean Stewart was quiet on Robertson Blvd. when asked about the lawsuit filed against him, which alleges he threw a brick at a couple.
And all the pretty people partied at hot new club Sugar last night: "The Hills" babes Lauren Conrad and Audrina were spotted dancing inside, Kim Kardashian was smokin' with some bright red lipstick on and "Fantastic Four" hottie Chris Evans tried to keep things cool when a fight broke out near the valet.

The son of rock legend Rod Stewart is being sued for allegedly launching a brutal brick-throwing attack on a couple -- an attack so violent -- the victims claim they feared for their lives.
In a lawsuit filed today in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Tolabus and Ericka Stein allege they were driving in their Ford F150 on April 23, when Stewart began "swinging his arms, punching, throwing bricks and other items" at them.
As TMZ first reported, the alleged incident occurred after Stewart and two buddies were denied entrance to a private party. We're told Stewart became enraged after partygoers taunted him.
According to the documents, the couple endured "shock, horror, fright, worry, grief, shame, embarrassment, anger, chagrin and nausea."
The Steins are seeking unspecified damages.
Calls to Stewart's rep were not immediately returned.
