DMX May Have to Pitch a Tent at AZ Jail Again

DMXYou knew it was coming: 8 days after DMX was released from jail, he pled guilty to another crime -- and he's about to find out if he'll have to make another triumphant return to Arizona's Tent City Jail.

DMX -- who originally pled not guilty -- copped a plea and pled guilty to attempted aggravated assault (a felony) back on May 22 -- after an incident in which he verbally threatened guards at Tent City back in February.

The serial law breaker is due back in Maricopa County court for sentencing on Monday.

Charles Barkley -- Tent City All-Star

Charles Barkley finished delivering a news conference from inside the Tent City Jail in Phoenix, AZ this afternoon, and his fellow inmates are already cheering for him like it's the "Shawshank Redemption."

Sitting next to Sheriff Joe Arpaio, the NBA Hall-of-Famer started with a typical PSA monologue, saying he made a mistake and had "learned not to drink and drive." Barkley reiterated that he is not a role model. Understatement of the year.

But the good stuff came after the newser, when inmate P519798 played politician -- shaking hands and even posing for pictures! All within the confines of jail. Oh, and apparently he's aware that TMZ broke the story of his DUI arrest.

If you're wondering what Sir Charles will do in his downtime over the next three days -- he's reading "The Complete Idiot's Guide to Learning Spanish." Ay Dios Mio!

Before the presser, Barkley was photographed as he first got to Tent City by KTVK in Phoenix. In the photos, Barkley is rocking a Nike tracksuit, a gold chain and a ridiculous grin.

Contrary to earlier reports, Barkley will not be forced to wear the legendary pink boxers or striped uniform.

Because he is on "work release," he will be able to stay in his clothes the entire time.

Story developing ... video to follow soon.

Charles Barkley -- Pretty in Pink

Charles BarkleyHave you ever wanted to see a 300+ pound guy dressed in pink long johns? Charles Barkley is about to grant your wish.

We got word Barkley will serve his time in Lower Buckeye Jail ... which happens to be run by Sheriff Joe Arpaio. Arpaio tells TMZ that if he does get his hands on Barkley, he will put him in Tent City -- which means Sir Charles will don the infamous pink long johns.

Arpaio even told TMZ he would pair Barkley up with another famous Tent City inmate -- DMX.

Barkley is due to turn himself in on March 21.

UPDATE -- Sheriff Arpaio tells TMZ Barkley has been given work release -- meaning he only has to be in jail from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM. But if Chuck violates even one rule, Arpaio will revoke his work release.
