Christian Group Gets All God on 50

The Resistance, a Christian media watchdog group, is demanding that 50 Cent retire. The group that once called Fiddy a satanist is now urging him to hang up his rapper bling and call it a day -- after losing his record-selling bet against Kanye West.
Fiddy and Mark
Mark Dice, the group's public voice, explained, "It is time for 50 Cent to be a man of his word, and retire. The world will be a better place when this satanic piece of filth retires and stops making music." Well, no un-Jesuslike judgment there! The group is also asking people to flood Cent's MySpace with comments encouraging the rap superstar to permanently call it a day.

At time of publication, not one comment had been posted.

Paris Haters' Bash a Bust

A nationwide Christian organization called The Resistance, led by founder Mark Dice, was set to have a huge soiree last night at the Beverly Hilton to celebrate Paris Hilton's incarceration. Only trouble is... they didn't.
Mark Dice
TMZ camera's were on hand to catch what was supposed to be a riled-up group as they trashed Hilton memorabilia in celebration of a time they hope will allow the heiress some deep "self reflection." So, just what did our cameras catch?

Nothing!

In fact, our guy never even hit the record button. The gala was supposed to kickoff at 8:00 PM in a bar on the first floor of the hotel. Our camera guy was told to look for a guy with a "Pray for Paris" t-shirt on -- which would allegedly distinguish Mr. Dice from the rest of expected crowd. Dice never rolled in!

Perhaps Paris' newly-found bible studies endeared her to her Christian detractors. As for the failed hater bash: *wahhh, wahhh!*

UPDATE: TMZ has learned that Dice did show up for the event, but was thrown out by security for interviewing patrons of the hotel. Here's the video evidence that he was there ... if you care.

'Galactica' Webisodes Break Records

The Sci-Fi Channel's foray into webisodes has been a huge success. Nowhere is that success more prevalent then the record-breaking traffic generated by the "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance."
Battlestar Galactica
The first two webisodes garnered record visitors for Sci Fi's broadband channel Sci Fi Pulse. The webisodes are a prequel to the third season of the critically acclaimed "Battlestar Galactica."

The increased traffic has turned curiosity into ratings. "The phenomenal success of 'The Resistance' proves that there is a definite audience for webisodes that can have an impact on TV viewing," said Craig Engler the Senior Vice President of SCIFI.COM "People who have never watched the show before are very excited to become new viewers."

New two to three minute installments of "Battlestar Galactica: The Resistance" will continue to debut every Tuesday and Thursday at noon leading up to the premiere of the third season of "Battlestar Galactica" on October 6th on the Sci-Fi Channel.
