Jon and Kate Gosselin were supposed to hit the "Today" show together this morning to present a united front against accusations that Jon is nailin' another woman -- but someone chickened out.
Kate (and her hair) was left to defend her hubby's actions all by her lonesome -- which she only kinda sorta did. Kate also told Meredith Viera that she and Jon -- who both star on a reality show which documents every minute detail of their lives -- will deal with this situation in private.

If you've ever wondered what a cat sounds like when it's being strangled, then you're gonna love the supposed raw, unedited, "board mix" of Beyonce Knowles from her "Today Show" performance last year -- courtesy of Howard Stern.
The King of All Media ran the supposedly leaked audio clip on his Sirius radio show yesterday.
Talk about something "fierce"...

Kathie Lee was scolded by Matt Lauer this morning after the ditzy diva leaned on his busted shoulder -- which is still very obviously recovering in a sling from surgery, after his infamous run-in with a deer.

On the eve of her final morning on 'Today,' Katie Couric discusses what it was like being a part of the NBC program for 15 years.
Couric believes the ensemble show created a family environment and that viewers saw her as either "the annoying little sister," "the obnoxious big sister," or "the friend you might have a cup of coffee with."
As far as getting emotional on her last day Couric says "whatever happens, happens."
Couric is leaving 'Today' to host the 'CBS Evening News.'
