So we've gotten to the bottom of the mysterious pic of the dude who looks very much like Tupac Shakur ... kinda.

Here's what we know. The man walked into Bourbon Rocks in New Orleans last Sunday, and he caught the eye of the D.J. on duty -- MC Difficult. Mr. Difficult grabbed the mic and hollered, "Tupac's alive!" The crowd cheered and Difficult went over to the guy and asked his name. The man said, "My name is My Lord."
Mr. Difficult then took a pic with Mr. Lord/Tupac (above), who then drank Budweiser for three hours with a hot chick. On his way out, Mr. Lord/Tupac asked Mr. Difficult if he knew where he could score some good weed.
Sounds like Tupac to us ...

We just got new pictures of a guy (left) people think is the same guy we plastered all over our site yesterday -- a guy we think could actually be Tupac Shakur. People from all over the world went nuts yesterday after we posted the pics (right). Frankly, we don't think the new guy is the same as the one we put up yesterday -- we still think yesterday's dude -- who was in a bar in New Orleans over the weekend -- is 2Pac.

TMZ has obtained photographic evidence that Tupac Shakur is alive and well and drinking Hand Grenades in New Orleans -- unless we're terribly mistaken.

13 years after he was shot and "killed" in Las Vegas ... a man appearing to be 2pac was spotted in a bar on Bourbon Street last weekend.
We were unable to get any sort of DNA evidence -- but this photo is good enough for us.
Thug life, bitches.

A DUI bust may have triggered the suicide of a big time hip-hop producer.
Johnny Jackson, aka Johnny J -- famous for such albums as Tupac Shakur's "All Eyez on Me" -- was in L.A. County Jail after getting arrested for DUI. Authorities say he took his own life by jumping off a tier in the jail.
Johnny J also produced the epic jam "Knockin' Boots" by Candyman.
He leaves a wife and two children. He was 39 years old.

Meet the woman who just bought the Death Row records empire out from under Suge Knight -- former aesthetician Susan Berg.
A bankruptcy court judge ordered that the label be put up for auction yesterday, so Global Music Group -- Susan's their president -- plunked down the $24 mil to purchase Tha Row.
She must be celebrating hard core because included in the deal are 20 unreleased Tupac Shakur tracks. Those'll have her rolling in Benjamins.

So that explosive report last week by a Pulitzer Prize-winning L.A. Times reporter that linked P. Diddy to the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur? Looks like it may have been a big hoax, perpetrated by a federal inmate who fabricated many of the "FBI reports" on which the story was based.

According to The Smoking Gun, a con artist in Federal prison named James Sabatino created the documents that were the basis for the Times' March 17 report, which suggested that the 1994 shooting of Tupac was planned and perpetrated by Diddy and his associates. The supposed FBI reports and lawsuits Sabatino says he filed were apparently created in the Allenwood federal penitentiary in White Deer, Penn., and can't be found in the bureau's database.
Diddy denied any involvement in the shooting in 1994 -- and after the Times' report. We called the reporter of the piece, Chuck Phillips, for comment, and haven't heard back. L.A. Times editor Russ Stanton, through a rep, issued the following statement: "Questions have been raised about the authenticity of documents that we relied on for a story on the assault of Tupac Shakur in New York. We are taking this very seriously and have begun our own investigation."

Being a celebrity isn't always lights, cameras and action. Sometimes shots aren't taken by a 35mm, but a 22 caliber.

When Hollywood stars are gunned down, it's never a happy ending. Some become legends after dying at the hands of an assailant, while others live to see another day and consider themselves legendarily lucky.
Take a look at the stars who got caught in the crossfire.
