Tyler Perry's Alleged Stalker Indicted

Tyler PerryCourt sources tell TMZ Tyler Perry's alleged stalker was indicted yesterday on a felony aggravated stalking charge.

We're told the Fulton County, Ga. grand jury in the Dawne Wilson case concluded yesterday there was enough evidence to move things forward to trial.

Wilson was popped at Perry's recording studio after allegedly violating a stay away order. She's been on the hunt for him for a long time.

Wilson is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow.

Tyler Perry's Alleged Stalker -- Government Ties

Tyler PerryTMZ has learned the woman accused of stalking Tyler Perry -- and emailing him about the devil -- once held a pretty serious job ... working for the United States government.

Dawne Wilson, who is currently locked up in Atlanta on an aggravated stalking charge, recently worked for the General Services Administration -- an agency which helps manage and support the basic functioning of other federal agencies.

Before Dawne was hired, she had to go through an extensive background check -- which she obviously passed. No word if a psych test was included in the screening.

TMZ spoke with one of Dawne's former co-workers from their Atlanta office, who told us, "The whole thing was a shock ... it seemed out of character ... she never seemed unbalanced."

Wilson is still in custody. If convicted, she could face up to 10 years in state prison.

Tyler Perry Alleged Stalker Threatens Murder

Dawne WilsonTMZ has obtained the restraining order against the woman accused of stalking Tyler Perry -- and the document is nothing short of shocking .... the alleged stalker saying Tyler is a candidate for murder.

As we first reported, Dawne Wilson was arrested for aggravated stalking Wednesday outside Perry's production studios in Atlanta ... a place where she's been an unwelcome visitor many times before.

The restraining order, obtained by TMZ, claims in March, 2008, Dawne Wilson began contacting Perry by computer "in a menacing manner," causing Perry to fear "apprehension of immediately receiving a violent injury."

According to the docs, in April, 2008, Wilson sent another e-mail saying "You need to check your heart condition because it is filled with murder....your love has been but costly and deadly....Murder I say is the verdict."

Wilson rambled on, "Why do you insist on assisting the devil?"

Wilson was taken into custody after showing up at Perry's recording studio last Wednesday, in violation of the restraining order.

Tyler Perry: Talk to the Hand, Cuz!

Tyler Perry's flicks mine his family for all kinds of material, but heaven help the family member who uses Tyler's name for a little career boost!

Tyler's cousin Marlon Campbell, an Atlanta producer-director, tells TMZ that when he mentioned his cousin's name in connection with his own movie, something called "Oblivious", he got a smackdown letter from Tyler's lawyers. (We're told by another source that they've hardly seen each other since they were little kids.)

Any connection between Marlon's stuff and Tyler, says the letter, is "intentionally misleading" and "wrongfully infringes upon the economic value of Mr. Perry" -- a guy whose movies and plays have made well over $200 million.

Perry's next flick? "The Family That Preys." No joke.

Don't Mess with Madea!

A local Sacramento television station is experiencing a major backlash, after an on-air interview with Janet Jackson and co-star/director Tyler Perry -- got seriously uncomfortable.

After discussing their new film "Why Did I Get Married?" on "Good Day Sacramento," anchor (and self-proclaimed jerk) Mark S. Allen asked Janet about her infamous Super Bowl wardrobe malfunction. Tyler Perry continuously tried to turn the conversation back to the movie, but the anchor kept hounding Jackson about the 2004 incident.

Finally, Perry fumes, "What are you talking about? We're here to talk about the movie!" Allen took one last dig, asking, "Were there any wardrobe malfunctions in the movie?" Jackson remained Sphinx-like the entire time.

By THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Tyler Perry fans reunited at theaters for another tale of mad black women. "Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion," a comic drama in which writer-director Perry also stars in three roles, debuted as the weekend's No. 1 movie with $30.25 million, according to studio estimates Sunday.

It was a second gold mine for Lionsgate Films, which also released Perry's "Diary of a Mad Black Woman," the movie that opened as No. 1 with $21.9 million on the same weekend last year.

Lionsgate hopes to have a third Perry movie out over the same weekend next year, said Steve Rothenberg, the company's president of distribution.
