With "Fast & Furious" strangely raking in $72.5 million this weekend, Vin Diesel was finally able to get past stains on his resume like "Babylon A.D." and "The Pacifier" and show his face again in public.

These two have more in common than bulging muscles ...
Shiny-topped stud Vin Diesel was easy to spot at the Bank Night Club in Las Vegas last night -- where he danced, smoked and fended off a line of female fans!

After keeping it on the down low for the last couple of years, muscle man Vin Diesel made a fabulous return to the Hollywood scene on Thursday.
After "The Chronicles of Riddick," and supposedly dating Michelle Rodriguez, it's amazing anyone still wants the 40-year-old action star's autograph!

Has Vin Diesel's movie career fallen so far that he's mistaken for an "American Idol" contestant?
Today's Hollywood Reporter boasts that Diesel and Paul Walker are in talks to reunite for the fourth installment of "The Fast and the Furious." While the print edition showed a pic of Diesel and Walker together, the website put up a pic of "Idol" star Chris Daughtry with Vin's name below it. Nurse!
Makes sense though -- more people saw Chris on "Idol" than Vin in "The Pacifier."
UPDATE: Don't blame THR too much. Turns out if you go to Getty Images and search for Vin Diesel, the first pics that come up are of Chris Daughtry! All bald men really do like alike.

Is Vin Diesel's career so pacified that he's "begging" to get back behind the wheel of a low-riding Japanese import tuner?
A source tells TMZ that contrary to a report in Sunday's Page Six, Vin isn't desperate to do the fourth installment of the "Fast and the Furious," and the reason he passed on the second and third sequels was because he was off doing other hits -- like "Chronicles of Riddick" and "The Pacifier."
As for the Post's report about his current project, "Babylon A.D.," being in deep financial straits, and rampant on-set clashes between Diesel and director Mathieu Kassovitz, we're told that there was "no scandal," and that "the budget of the film was over as is normal" for such big-budget projects.
He wasn't supposed to play, but celebusporty David Beckham took to the field for just over 13 minutes during yesterday's L.A. Galaxy game against Chelsea. All eyes were on the expensive Brit import, but the Galaxy couldn't be saved by Becks, and lost, 0 to 1, against Chelsea. Beckham is being paid an astronomical $250 million over five years. Clearly the investment is already paying off.
A red carpet was set up at the stadium for Becks' celebrity friends to make their entrances. Cheering him on: Katie Holmes, Eva Longoria, and the Governator, Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Hardbody hottie Vin Diesel and the director of his newest film, Babylong A.D., didn't get along on-set, and now, reports Page Six, Diesel is wondering if he's ever going to work again. Diesel and director Mathiew Kassovitz clashed constantly: "These guys really didn't get along. I think they wouldn't mind if they never saw each other again," said one source.
Last fall, high-flying Scientology-loving John Travolta was caught in a lip-lock with his male nanny. His lawyer explained it away at the time as a "customary, non-romantic gesture." Filed under: Let's Get This Party Started
It looks as though hairless muscled hunk Vin Diesel has come to the rescue of this small child with a shiner.
The two were seen walking around Soho hand-in-hand on Monday. The boy, not Vin's son, was holding a cup of ice to what looks to be a recently acquired black eye. A game of catch gone awry?
From his days in "The Pacifier," Diesel seems to have enjoyed his role as a manny.

A source close to Vin Diesel tells TMZ that contrary to Internet reports, the actor was not dropped from the upcoming movie "Hitman" -- in fact, he opted out long ago.
Rumors circulated yesterday that actor Timothy Olyphant had taken Vin's place after he was dumped from the film. While it's true that Olyphant will star in the film (based on a popular videogame), Diesel was off the project long before Olyphant got the part.
TMZ has learned that Vin jetted off to Prague today to star in the big budget, Mathieu Kassovitz directed FOX feature, "Babylon A.D.," based on the best-selling French novel "Babylon Babies." The film is set to be a major 2007 holiday release for the studio.
Diesel was last seen in the movie "Find Me Guilty," for which he received rave reviews, and also starred in the mega-hit, "The Pacifier," which grossed over $200 million worldwide.

Action superstar and proud D&D freak Vin Diesel is making sure he doesn't miss any of his favorite shows while on the road.
The "XXX" star was spotted outside Los Angeles hot spot Area with an SUV complete with a KVH DirecTV automobile satellite. The rugged 5" high satellite gives you access to up to 185 channels while you cruise the open roads of the continental U.S. Available in black and silver, the satellite is the perfect addition to the road warrior who needs to keep his passengers entertained.
TMZ thought maybe we could trick out the company Astrovan with some sweet satellite TV action. We put a call into the world famous West Coast Customs from the MTV show "Pimp My Ride" to see what it would cost for the TMZ posse to cruise in the style that Vin Diesel is accustomed too. With a price tag of $14,000 to $16,000, we think we'll keep the Walkman we have taped to the dash as our entertainment for TMZ outings.
Maybe we can get Vin in on our carpool.

What's the name of Chris Daughtry's new band?
Crystal, it's not Fuel, that's for sure. However, he is working on putting together a new band aptly named, "Daughtry."
