WWE -- Nuggets Tried to Put Words in Our Mouth

It looks like the only person who doesn't know Vince McMahon hates the owner of the Denver Nuggets is the owner of the Denver Nuggets -- and the proof is in an unreleased press release we just got our mitts on.

Vince McMahon Click to view!

Before a deal had been made regarding the stadium dispute, the unreleased draft was written by Kroenke Sports and submitted to the WWE for their approval to send out to the media. It contained the following pre-written, butt-kissing, "quote" from Vince McMahon -- a quote Vince claims he never, ever said:

"By all accounts, Mr. Kroenke is one of the most respected professional sports team owners in the world, and the professional way he and his staff good-naturedly handled this conflict gives further testament to the type of business leader he is. We look forward to Sunday's WWE event and future events at the Pepsi Center."

We all know Vince had different things to say about Kroenke.

WWE Sticks It to Denver, Moves Event to L.A.

The Denver Nuggets won the battle -- but the WWE isn't finished with their war.

WWE event

After Vince McMahon raised hell when the team's owner screwed up and double booked the Pepsi Center for a WWE event on the same night as an NBA playoff game between the Nugs and the Lakers, the wrestlers have finally agreed to take their show on the road.

But in what seems to be a premeditated twist of fate, Vince is bringing the show to the Staples Center in L.A. -- home of the Lakers.

The Pepsi Center is now stuck having to refund thousands of tickets.

WWE: A Very Iraqi Christmas

Nothing says Christmas cheer quite like -- a few leather-clad hotties and some sweaty wrestlers!

The WWE Superstars and a couple of Divas traveled to Iraq to entertain the troops, even setting up a wrestling ring for a match at Camp Speicher.

Vince McMahon, John Cena and Chris Jericho all made the trip -- sporting fatigues. The Divas, however, had a little trouble following the camouflage guidelines. You can see all the wacky punches on USA this Christmas Eve.

WWE Tackles Drug Problem

In the wake of the death of wrestler Crush (aka Brian Adams), and the murder-suicide involving wrestler Chris Benoit, World Wrestling Entertainment sent a letter to more than 500 former WWE performers offering to pay for drug and alcohol counseling and rehab treatment, if they need it.
Vince McMahon
The letter, sent last week from WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, urges performers in need to get help and encourages wrestlers to support one another. "If you do not have a drug and/or alcohol problem, but know you know a former WWE performer who does, we are asking you try to help them by encouraging them to take advantage of this opportunity."

When contacted, a rep for the WWE said the organization had no additional comment.

McMahon's Illegitimate Leprechaun

Putting that nasty Chris Benoit murder-suicide behind him, WWE Chairman Vince McMahon has something new to worry about: little green men.

With WWE spin on the already crazy world of paternity battles, it was revealed on last night's "Monday Night RAW" that the uber-tanned chairman fathered leprechaun-wannabe wrestler, Hornswoggle.

Not great news for McMahon, but fantastic for his "Lil Bastard" -- Hornswoggle now stands to inherit a hefty sum from Vince's personal pot o' gold. Of course, since none of this is actually real, he probably won't get a penny.

Vince McMahon -- The New Eddie Murphy?!

Now that the Chris Benoit horror has left the front pages, WWEenie Vince McMahon is finally moving past that whole "death" storyline he was working on -- and slipping into the always entertaining world of -- illegitimate children! Pure class, people!

On "Monday Night Raw," the WWE chairman was served with a paternity suit for a child he's "accused" of siring. Expect Vince to challenge the "mother" to a loser-take-baby steel cage match -- where one of them will leave the ring with a shaved head!

Then expect Eddie Murphy to try and solve his paternity war with Scary Spice using the same technique!

WWE to Canada: Take Off, Hosers

The Chris Benoit double murder/suicide is still rocking the WWE, as they announced the cancellation of all Canadian events for the next month -- all because of the former "Canadian Crippler." While WWE sources claim that the "postponements" are to show sensitivity to the fans of Chris "Rabid Wolverine" Benoit, the WWE has a track record for bailing on the Great White North when troubles arise.
Chris Benoit and the Canadian flag
The death of Benoit's friend and teammate, Owen Hart, in 1999 kept the company away from parts of Canada for an entire year. After wrestler Bret Hart and WWE big cheese Vince McMahon's infamous "Montreal Screwjob" in 1997, they hid out until late '98. However, others say that the REAL reason for the cancellation is to avoid the ire and the loud, often profane chants of the live Canadian crowds. Chants of "You killed Owen!" and "You screwed Bret!" filled Canadian arenas for months after those scandals.

Perhaps the WWE isn't taking any chances on two live tapings of their RAW and SmackDown programs being filled with angry chants of "You killed Chris!"

Meredith Locks Up With McMahon Over Benoit Murders

Click to return to TMZ.comMeredith Vieira went toe-to-toe with Vince McMahon on this morning's "Today" -- questioning the WWE honcho's stance that steroid use had nothing to do with Chris Benoit's grisly double murder-suicide.

Vieira was quick with a left hook to McMahon, asking him how WWE could make such a statement before toxicology results were revealed. Vince stuck to his guns, saying a press release sent out earlier this week was "reacting to the hysteria of the media," telling the press to quit speculation that "roid rage" was a factor in the killings -- until evidence proved otherwise.

On Monday, the WWE said the murders of Chris Benoit's wife and 7-year-old son were not an act of "roid rage," because "the physical findings announced by authorities indicate deliberation," and cited as evidence the time between murders and the leaving of Bibles by the bodies.

WWE -- No Killer Zone

After authorities revealed the grisly details of Chris Benoit's final days, the WWE is changing their tune. In a televised statement, aired just moments ago on Sci Fi Channel's ECW, Vince McMahon made it clear -- they will no longer honor the memory of the murdering wrestler:

"Last night on 'Monday Night Raw,' the WWE presented a special tribute show, recognizing the career of Chris Benoit. However, now some 26 hours later, the facts of this horrific tragedy are now apparent. Therefore, other than my comments, there will be no mention of Mr. Benoit tonight. On the contrary, tonight's show will be dedicated to everyone who has been affected by this terrible incident. This evening marks the first step of the healing process. Tonight, the WWE performers will do what they do better than anyone else in the world -- entertain you."

Dead McMahon in Bad Taste?

Death struck twice for the WWE this week, and the real fatality is making the WWE wonder whether the staged one should stay in the script.

WWE fem-fighter "Sensational Sherri" Martel was found dead at her mother's home June 15, and just three days before, chief butt-head Vince McMahon was "killed" in a limo explosion on the "Monday Night RAW" broadcast. Foul play wasn't suspected in Martel's death, but cops have said in reports that the cause wasn't natural.

In light of Martel's real death, we're told there were discussions inside the WWE about abandoning their current "McMahon is Presumed Dead" storyline, with many WWE folks feeling that it was in poor taste.

But c'mon, folks, this is the WWE we're talking about! Not only is McMahon staying dead, the WWE, according to reports, plans to push the storyline even further with the discovery of DNA evidence linking McMahon, his limo driver and a "mysterious third party" to the fictional attack ... all for consumption this Friday on "WWE Smackdown."

That sound you hear is Owen Hart, spinning in his grave.

The WWE had no comment on the situation.

Trump Gives McMahon a Britney

The 'Battle of the Billionaires' is over -- and Vince McMahon was the loser recipient of the bald Britney 'do.

After The Donald's proxy beat the crap out of McMahon's at last night's Wrestlemania 23, Trump tackled the WWE Chairman and started pummeling his face with a closed fist.

The embarassment didn't end there -- Vince was then strapped into a barber chair and the Combover buzzed his skull. One can only hope that this begins a flurry of celeb feud shave-offs.

Trump B**ch-slaps Vince McMahon

The Battle of the Billionaires is only four days away, but Donald Trump just couldn't wait to give Vince McMahon a taste of realtor fist.

At a press conference today for the April 1 edition of Wrestlemania 23, Trump took the podium and bashed WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, saying, "We used to be [friends] but I don't like him one damn bit lately and I mean that." The Donald and The Chairman then chose their proxies for Sunday's fight -- both will have a WWE superstar fight for them -- with the loser being forced to shave all his hair off. This would be a blessing for The Donald.

The execs were about to shake hands when Trump faked him out, and instead slapped McMahon's face. The uber-tanned chairman then took a pummeling from Trump's security and proxy Bobby Lashley. McMahon then ran off in shame.
