Sources who have heard the unreleased recordings of Michael Jackson say there are at least 2 albums worth of class A songs that will be released over time, and some of them are even better than "This Is It."
We're told many of the songs that will make the cut were written and recorded by Jackson after he left Sony in 2004.
As for "This Is It" -- we're told everyone involved liked the tune but it wasn't the best. As one source said, given the title and the tone, "It was the most appropriate song for the end of the movie."

A short, 43-second snippet of the highly-anticipated new Michael Jackson song "This Is It" has made its way onto the Internet.

Vanessa Hudgens has clear skin, a nice body and an okay voice -- and she's working it all to rake in a fortune.
TMZ has obtained depositions in a lawsuit filed by a former manager who wants a cut of Vanessa's fortune. In the document, Vanessa says she got $500,000 as a spokesperson for ECKO, at least $150,000 from Neutrogena and $150,000 as a down payment for her 3rd album.
So who's gonna have longer staying power -- her or Zac Efron?

Jonas Brothers, meet jumpable shark.
That's the buzz after flaccid first-week sales of "A Little Bit Longer," which, according to Billboard, fell short of the big numbers. The projections were for 600k-plus and as many as 725, but they came in at 515,000.
In the perspective department, Lil' Wayne did well over a mil in the first week, but Jordin Sparks -- she won "American Idol," memba? Her grand total -- 119,000.

For country music star Tracy Lawrence, it isn't enough to sing about Jack Frost nipping at his nose -- he needs actual frost nipping at his nose while doing it!
A TMZ spy in the Nashville studio, where "Alibis" star Lawrence is working on a Christmas album, says Tracy ordered the temperature lowered to about 40 degrees during the session. Damn, that's cold! It was so frigid, we're told, that all of the people working on the album had to wear heavy coats to withstand the chill. No word if roasting chestnuts and one horse open sleighs were brought in to complete the effect.
Whatever it takes to keep cranking out them hits, y'all.

More "Idol" wannabeens are finding ways to make sweet music. "A.I." castoffs Sabrina Sloan and Sundance Head have been signed by Universal Records Motown. Grammy time!
The two are set to record an entire album of cover songs -- can ya smell a yummy rendition of "I Got You Babe" coming on? Meanwhile, there's been precious little news with regard to runner-up Blake Lewis and winner Jordin Sparks, but the rest of the rejects sure are trudging along!
Let's not forget about Amanda Collucio, the sassy Idol vixen who loves to "Push N Touch!"

Britney Spears makes a bald move once again.
On her official website, she posted a note apologizing to a paparazzo for her furious pre-rehab, head-shaved umbrella attack. She explains that her act was part of a "stunt" while preparing her "character" for a "roll" (sic) in a movie. "I take all my rolls (sic) very seriously and got a little carried away," justified the formerly hotheaded pop wreck. "Unfortunately, I didn't get the part," reveals the Britz.
The website also asks her most diehard fans (is there anyone left?) to help name her upcoming album. The choices? "Omg is Like Lindsay Lohan Like Okay Like," "What if the Joke is on You," "Down boy," "Integrity," and "Dignity."
Britney rolls on!

What's up with Omarion's new album? --Kelly
Kelly, Omarion has a lot of work to do for his follow-up album, "21." The first single from the album is not doing well on the Billboard 100 right now, which is kind of a shock, considering his debut album "O" soared to number one. But he still has time to redeem himself. December 12, the CD hits stores, then he begins touring in Miami (with Ne-Yo) three days later to promote his sophomore release. Good luck!

The day we have all waited for is finally here. K-Fed's highly anticipated album "Playing With Fire" has finally arrived at a record store near you. To celebrate, TMZ will enlighten your day with genuine pearl of wisdom from the Federleezy himself.
"I won't ever be a back-up dancer for anybody again. I think we all have established that. But I'll do it for myself."
Brilliant. Be on the lookout for K-Fed backup dancing for himself on his current tour of venues that can miraculously sell enough tickets to cover their power bill. Sorry Cleveland.
All kidding aside, the album has generated significant interest around the country, but Kevin is still constantly taking shots from music critics and haters alike. Shocking, we know. But K-Fed says he uses the criticism to motivate himself into being the best Federline he can be. "You can't really get anywhere without someone gawking at you or nitpicking at what you do."
Well in that case, K-Fed, the world is your oyster.

Paris Hilton visited the offices of famed personal voice coach Seth Riggs in West Hollywood last week. Riggs has previously worked with Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and ... Milli Vanilli?
Riggs told TMZ that Paris is working with his daughter, Rachel, to help her develop a more complete sound. He said that Paris is surprisingly shy when she sings, but, Riggs says, "she's getting there."
For those of you too young to remember, Milli Vanilli (Rob Pilatus and Fab Morvan), won a Grammy award for Best New Artist in 1990, but had it taken back after it was revealed they didn't actually sing on the album. Riggs told TMZ that the pair "both could sing pretty damn well" and were "asked not to sing" on the album.
Riggs' website mentions that he has worked with a who's who of recording artists -- but fails to list Milli Vanilli. Good move, Seth. Good move.

Paris Hilton has joined with AOL Music for the exclusive premiere of her self-titled album "Paris," not due to hit stores until August 22. Fans can listen to the album in its entirety exclusively for two weeks beginning Monday August 14, as part of the Full CD Listening Party.
"I'm really proud of my record and the work I put into it," said Paris Hilton. "I'm excited AOL Music is debuting PARIS online, so people can finally hear my entire album for themselves."

1) Anissa Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Who is Andrew Firestone dating? Irina Brodinova?
We're not sure who Irina Brodinova is, or if Mr. Firestone dated her, but we do know who Ivana Bozilovic is. And she and Andrew are as cute as two peas in a pod. Back in March, Andrew gave an interview to TVGuide.com in which he credits the patience of his model-actress girlfriend as the reason for them being able to remain together for over a year. 2) Lisa Has Just GOTTA KNOW: I just gotta know when Beyoncé's new album is coming out and are she and Jay-Z engaged? Because I read in a weekly magazine that they had planned to get married this summer. Is that true?
Regarding her professional life, September 5 is the date we're all counting down to, for Beyoncé's second solo album hit stores. "B-Day" is the album title and "Déjà Vu" is her first single. The song features none other than Jay-Z. Regarding her personal life, she and her man have managed to keep lip-locked on the specifics regarding the extent of their relationship. There was speculation two weekends ago that a wedding ceremony may have taken place at Martha's Vineyard. The two attempted to rent a fabulous house, leaving many to speculate this would be the location to celebrate the would-be event. 3) Liz and Nicole Have Just GOTTA KNOW: Where has Joshua Jackson been? We never see him anymore.
MIA seems to be the best way to describe "Dawson's Creek's" Joshua Jackson lately. Earlier this year Jackson completed filming for the pilot "Capital Law," a would-be drama for CBS in which legal associates at a law firm clash with their ethically lacking managing partner. Unfortunately, the pilot was not picked up by the network. But don't fret -- expect to see Joshua playing quite a different role in the Emilio Estevez directed movie "Bobby" alongside Demi Moore and Anthony Hopkins. 4) Guenevirre Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Why did Bethany Joy's last name change from "Lenz" to "Galeotti"?
"One Tree Hill" sweetheart Bethany Joy Lenz, who plays the lovable Haley James Scott on the WB's hit show, has recently been spotted sporting another surname: Galeotti. Back on January 1, 2006 she and musician boyfriend Michael Galeotti tied the knot and made it official. 5) Mudge Has Just GOTTA KNOW: What's going on with love birds Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams from "The Notebook"? They had such a great on-screen chemistry but what's it like off screen? I never see any pictures of them or status of their relationship. Are they really dating?
Ryan and Rachel have continued their on-screen romance off the screen. Nothing has suggested any type of breakup. (Take a look at some pics of the two together!) However, they do spend time apart from one another to tend, once again, to their professional lives. At the end of July, Rachel will be working on the drama "Marriage." Meant to take place in the 1940's, a husband would rather plan out his wife's death than put her through the humiliation of a divorce. Ryan, on the other hand, is working on a number of projects - "Fracture" being one of them. In this flick, Ryan is the assistant DA who tries to bring justice to a man who attempted to murder his wife. Production for this movie has wrapped but the release date has not yet been set. 6) Chaniel Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Why did 98° break up in the first place?
Contrary to what may seem like a break up, the pop band 98° has not separated. They are currently taking a break from their union as one, allowing for some bandmates to pursue solo careers and personal lives. Nick Lachey's second album "What's Left of Me" has taken off and is doing well (it peaked at number 2 on the Billboard 200), while brother Drew Lachey is focused more on life at home. Since winning ABC's "Dancing With The Stars," Lachey and wife Lea Dellecave gave birth to their first child, a girl. Although Jeff Timmons has had a run-in with the law, he did put out an album in 2004 entitled "Whisper That Way." Last but certainly not least, Justin Jeffre went political and ran for mayor of Cincinnati, but was not elected. Don't count the boys out yet - they'll be back in the limelight in no time.

4) Brenda, Michelle, Shelagh, Jean, and Lauren ALL Just Have GOTTA KNOW: Where have JT and Cameron been lately?! I haven't heard anything about either of them in months... no pictures, news about a wedding or a breakup. What have they been up to?
Although online speculation is rampant about a possible breakup, sources close to Justin and Cameron tell TMZ that rumors of a split are "total BS." As for their professional lives, July 7th marks the radio release date for "SexyBack," JT's first single from his "FutureSex/LoveSounds" album which should be hitting stores mid September. 5) Ginger Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Will there be a DVD of the Soul 2 Soul II concert event with Tim McGraw and Faith Hill?
As of this point, no arrangements have been made for these concerts to be shot for DVD distribution. It is possible, but plans are not in the making as of now. Tim McGraw and Faith Hill's "Soul 2 Soul II" tour is the first since their previous "Soul 2 Soul" tour back in 2000. The couple is on tour now, and expects to travel to roughly 70 cities. 6) Cyndi Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Where is the island that Johnny Depp owns?
Although his publicists wouldn't elaborate, the talk around town is that along with homes in France and Los Angeles, Johnny Depp owns Little Hall's Pond Cay, a 35-acre private island with white sandy beaches in Exuma Land and Sea Park, located in the beautiful Bahamas. With his multi-million dollar purchase, Depp joins the likes of Brooke Shields, Tony Curtis and Nicolas Cage, all celebs who've taken the big plunge for more pleasure. 4) Colleen Has Just GOTTA KNOW: What happened to Joss Stone? When is her next album due out? Is there a new album?
Joss Stone's publicists have let TMZ know that while no album should be expected for at least two years, the passionate vocalist is currently putting her pen and pad to work. Having been portrayed as the "white Aretha Franklin," this 19-year-old's next album will no doubt prove to, for the third time around, take us where no Englander has taken us before. 5) Terrianni Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Why is Paul Walker not in the next Fast and the Furious movie? It won't be the same without him.
Paul Walker will indeed be missed in the latest street racing flick, "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift." Lucas Black, of "Friday Night Lights" and "Jarhead," has now taken over the lead. But what TMZ found out is that the "Fast and the Furious" franchise is actually centered around real life drift racing, as opposed to specific characters. And Paul Walker's role as Brian O'Conner in the previous two wasn't solely as a street racer. Now don't let the lack of Paul deter you from this fast-paced film. 6) Savannah Has Just GOTTA KNOW: What's going on with Eminem's marriage?
Eminem's second marriage to Kim Mathers didn't exactly work out the way either of them thought it would. While we can't say specifically what went wrong, we can say that the divorce was filed on Eminem's part due to "a breakdown in the marriage relationship to the extent that the objects of matrimony have been destroyed."
