New Jackson Albums in the Wings

New Jackson AlbumSources who have heard the unreleased recordings of Michael Jackson say there are at least 2 albums worth of class A songs that will be released over time, and some of them are even better than "This Is It."

We're told many of the songs that will make the cut were written and recorded by Jackson after he left Sony in 2004.

As for "This Is It" -- we're told everyone involved liked the tune but it wasn't the best. As one source said, given the title and the tone, "It was the most appropriate song for the end of the movie."

Alicia Keys Crossing Over?

graphic of a question markWhat's Alicia Keys up to? I heard she was doing a movie. --Pascal

Alicia KeysNot just one movie, Pascal -- she's doing two! First up is "Smokin' Aces," with Ben Affleck and Jeremy Piven, in which Keys plays an assassin. If you can hold out, this movie hits theaters January 26. She'll also be seen this spring in "The Nanny Diaries" with Scarlett Johansson and Paul Giamatti.

But that's not all! She's also been making music -- expect Ms. Keys' new album in June.

"American Idiot"? Try American Genius!

graphic of a question markI heard a long time ago that Green Day was planning on turning "American Idiot" into a movie. Is that still happening?

Green DayMelody, people have been very quiet about this could-be movie for a while, but it seems as though it will in fact come into fruition.

With ideas for the flick pouring in, Green Day frontman Billie Joe Armstrong confirmed to MTV in an interview over the summer that "it's definitely going to happen." But don't expect to see the band members on screen -- they're leaving that to the professionals.
