For a guy who claims he's serious about staying sober -- why does recovering alcoholic A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys keep trekking back into the dangerously tempting Hollywood club scene!?!
Don't get us wrong, we're rooting for him to stay clean -- but for a guy who fell off the wagon just a couple of months ago (see: Key Club incident) -- maybe the bar he was at last night isn't the best place to kick it nowadays.
Remember the old saying -- when you play with fire, you get drunk.

Brian Littrell has seen two Backstreet Boys fall off the wagon recently -- AJ McLean and Nick Carter -- and the guy was serious when he told us they better "clean their act up" if they want to remain Backstreet Boys.
Thing is, Brian said he and the boys are hitting the studio tomorrow to start a new record... so he -- and his trusty new cast -- can knock some sense into 'em.

TMZ cameras caught the Hoff out with his daughter at the Complex Magazine Harley Davidson Party last night. But that's not the story here.
Our spies recently saw David having lunch at the Ivy with a rep from Ryan Seacrest's production team. Ryan is producing David's new show, "Tales from the Hoff," eagerly awaited by Hoff fans worldwide.
Our source overheard Hoff bragging about how many hits his drunken burger eating video got on YouTube -- over 5 million! The video was shot during a relapse -- and now he's bragging just days after another relapse? Talk about looking on the bright side!

Robert Downey Jr. has been tapped to play the Marvel comic book character "Iron Man" in its film adaptation. Downey worked out and grew a goatee in the hopes of convincing the producers that he was the right man for the job.
The complex character of Tony Stark (aka Iron Man) is far more complex then meets the eye. In fact, the similarities to Downey's own life are uncanny, as the character is a man whose life is plagued by substance abuse and chaos.
Marvel Entertainment executive Kevin Fergie said "We cannot think of another actor better suited to bring one of Marvel's crown jewels to the big screen."
Filming will begin in February.
