The number of homes Nic Cage owns is receding faster than his ... anyway ... because today, two of his homes in New Orleans are going up on the auction block.

According to public records, Cage failed to pay the mortgage debts on two multi-million dollar properties -- and the bank eventually foreclosed.
The two homes were each estimated to be worth more than $3 million -- but as we all know, Nic is dead broke and couldn't pay his bills.
One of the homes, the LaLaurie mansion, is rumored to be haunted -- it'll definitely haunt Cage.

Mere hours before bidding was scheduled to end on the infamous DUI La-Z-Boy-Mobile, the motorized recliner suddenly vanished from the auction -- and TMZ has learned it's all because of a battle over its name.

With the price at $43,100 and rising, eBay received a demand letter from the most unlikely of parties -- the La-Z-Boy corporation itself. We're told La-Z-Boy played the trademark card due to the title of the auction "La-Z-Boy DWI Chair" and eBay was forced to pull the auction.
Here's the worst part: the chair was being auctioned off by the Proctor Minnesota Police Department and all profits were to benefit the taxpayers.
We're told La-Z-Boy "felt bad" about stopping the auction -- but hey, business is business.
Fear not motorized chair enthusiasts -- we've learned the cops plan on re-listing the chair in just a few hours.

There is yet another Michael Jackson auction going down -- but this time, the people hocking Jacko's swag aren't trying to pocket the cash for themselves.

Alexander Autographs is hosting a massive auction to benefit the VH1 Save the Music Foundation this week in Connecticut -- and even though they're not putting any hair clippings on the block, you can still get some really cool stuff.
Signed guitars, wicked leather jackets and even a self-portrait could be yours ... if the price is right.

The King's crown is still pulling in some serious dough -- a clump of Elvis Presley's hair just sold for $18,300!!!!!!

The 51-year-old hair sample went on the auction block in Chicago this weekend -- so far the winner has not been identified.
FYI --the hair was only expected to sell for around $12,000.

Michael Jackson might have been the "most creative" and "best dressed" ... but he wasn't the "most likely to succeed" -- at least according to his high school classmates.

An auction of MJ memorabilia took place yesterday in L.A., including his 1976 high school yearbook from Cal Prep in Encino, CA. In the yearbook, Michael was voted pretty much what everyone would have expected -- best dressed, most creative, shyest -- but NOT most likely to succeed.
That honor was reserved for one Scott Ashdown -- who's probably a perfectly nice person, but we've never heard of him.
Even though success is relative and money isn't everything -- can we get a recount for MJ?

A tuft of Elvis Presley's 51-year-old wavy locks is going on the auction block ... and is expected to fetch around $12k.

One of Presley's friends has managed to hold on to the hair clump, which was cut off back in 1958 when the King enlisted in the Army, and is selling it as part of an auction of Elvis memorabilia on October 18 in Chicago.
For you non-serial killers, other less creepy items on the block include: autographed records, photos and an ultra-suede red shirt Presley once wore.

In yet another example of how protection pays, the glove Michael Jackson wore the day he married Debbie Rowe has just gone to the highest bidder -- for a fortune.

Bonhams and Goodman auctioneers hit the gavel after someone bid $49,000 to become the proud owner of Jackson's white bejeweled glove. The newly-minted gloved one is Warwick Stone, who bought it on behalf of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Jackson went on to have two kids with Debbie Rowe -- we don't think the glove was ever removed.

Three of Michael Jackson's priciest possessions were removed from his Las Vegas home yesterday: A trio of Rolls Royces.

We hear the expensive whips were meant to be wedding presents for Michael's three children someday -- but none of the Rolls we spotted looked as if they'd been driven recently.
All the items removed from Jackson's home were moved to an L.A. storage facility -- some will be used for an upcoming memorabilia tour.

A sports bar owner in Minnesota just pissed away $750 on one of the most infamous pieces of non-sports related sports memorabilia in recent history -- a "Whizzinator" once owned by a former NFL running back.
For those unfamiliar -- the "Whiz" is a penis-shaped, urine-storing device used for cheating on a drug test. (Click here for a better explanation.)
But the particular "Whizzinator" that was snatched off the auction block Friday night has a history -- it was found on ex-Minnesota Vikings running back Onterrio Smith during an airport security search back in 2005.
According to TwinCities.com, the guy who bought the pee-shooter plans on displaying it in the bar for everyone to see.

We know ... it's no shocker that some kinky Madonna memorabilia happens to be floating around -- the market is flooded with the stuff -- but that doesn't mean these naughty Madonna auction items aren't interesting to thumb through.

Among the 489 celeb items up for sale on www.gottahaverockandroll.com are some of Madonna's old love letters, raunchy answering machine recordings to her former lover Jim Albright, and a 15-minute extended scene from her '93 flick "Dangerous Game" -- recorded for Albright's eyes only.
An auction spokesman tells us the tape shows a topless Madonna appearing to snort cocaine and inhale nitrous oxide.
The auction -- which also includes goodies like Jimi Hendrix's first ever contract (for $1), tons of Beatles stuff and a bitchin' Janis Joplin mug shot -- ends Aug. 5.

Less than a day after the King of Pop's unexpected exit, a bunch of his stuff is going up for auction -- and it's safe to say the items are suddenly worth a whole lot more.

Julien's Auctions in Las Vegas is offering 21 items of Jackson's old stuff -- which actually belong to David Guest -- in a sale that was scheduled well before his death.
Some of Jackson's goods up for grabs:
- signed self portrait
- cardboard painting of Mickey Mouse by Michael
- costume shirt from Jacko's "Victory" tour in '84
- handwritten letter to "Greg" thanking him his "boyish spirit"

Turns out the Sulemans aren't the only ones who don't want anything to do with their old Pomona crib.
OctoGrandma's house -- the one where OctoMom Nadya Suleman lived in for years -- had no buyers at today's auction, so it goes back into the hands of the bank.
The starting price was over $355,000 -- just in case you were looking for a really expensive house that has been ravaged by a ton of fatherless children.

Unless Stephen Baldwin's charity on "I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here" is called the "Keep Stephen Baldwin from Losing His House to Foreclosure Org." -- dude is gonna lose his digs on the auction block.
According to documents, Stephen and his wife are more than $824,000 behind in payments on their Rockland County, NY home -- although they only paid $515,000 for it in 1997.
Unless the born-again Christian hits the lottery, his home will hit the blocks on June 24.

If you had your eye on the gloves from "Edward Scissorhands" or the actual gates of Neverland Ranch, we have some disappointing news for you -- the auction of Michael Jackson's crazy stuff ain't happening.
As part of a settlement between Jackson's production company and Julien's Auction House, Jackson gets to keep the nearly 2,000 items that were to be auctioned off beginning next week.
Terms of the settlement are confidential, but the attorney for the auction house tells us "everyone is happy."
The auction house had previously said they spent $2 million organizing the sale and it was guessing the items could have fetched $12 million.
