After being slammed by Aussie fans, media, and politicians for her first concert, Britney Spears left her hotel in Perth this morning to get ready for her second show there.
All Britney needs is a little support and she'll be fine.

In yet another example of how protection pays, the glove Michael Jackson wore the day he married Debbie Rowe has just gone to the highest bidder -- for a fortune. 
Bonhams and Goodman auctioneers hit the gavel after someone bid $49,000 to become the proud owner of Jackson's white bejeweled glove. The newly-minted gloved one is Warwick Stone, who bought it on behalf of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.
Jackson went on to have two kids with Debbie Rowe -- we don't think the glove was ever removed.

The American miniature dwarf horse stands less than two feet tall, weighs around 77 pounds, and despite many health problems recently made it to his first birthday.

We officially apologize for poking fun at Sam, the koala rescued from the fires in the Australian wilderness. Sam was photographed drinking bottled water and we made a joke....and it was out of line.
Turns out lil' Sam suffered burned paws and was taken to the Mountain Ash Wildlife Shelter -- nothing funny about that. But since she's been at the shelter, Sam has drawn the attention of a male koala named Bob. The two are now said to be inseparable.
We made a joke about Sam drinking bottled water and then going to pilates and eating sushi. Bad joke, bad us.

After battling some of the worst wildfires ever to hit Australia, a firefighter shared his bottled water with a pampered koala on Monday.
Afterwards the new friends went to Pilates and dined on sushi.

On their way to sainthood, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are going to be recognized by the Australian government ... with their very own postage stamp. Lick that!
The Sydney Morning Herald reports that supermom of the world, along with hunky partner Brad Pitt and daughter Shiloh, will be reproduced from the cover of New Idea magazine -- which is sponsored by Australia Post -- and slapped onto a .50 cent stamp. A New Idea spokesman says, "These stamps will become instantly collectible and sought after by philatelists around the country."
For some time now, both Ange and Brad have been sought by philatelists who would like to stick them.

Whoopi's long overdue employment announcement wasn't the only news on "The View" yesterday. Elisabeth Hasselbeck revealed the thigh slapping news that she has chopped off a chicken's head -- and PETA thinks that's just foul!
After using hand motions to describe how to accurately decapitate a chicken, grossing out the audience more than she usually does, polite talk then resumed. Now Lizzy's in the soup with PETA, and they had this nugget for the right wing chicken winger:
"PETA has two words for Hasselbeck, 'Cluck you!' Next to Barbara and Joy, who expressed compassion, Elisabeth sat there chirping about the joys of killing defenseless birds. Conservatives love animals too, and she ruffled a lot of feathers today. Now that Whoopi has joined the show, maybe it's time for Hasslebeck's head to go on the chopping block."
Reps for "The View" had no comment.

Matthew McConaughey definitely isn't taking his time in Australia lightly. The sweaty playboy has been seen getting hot and heavy with numerous girls since heading to Queensland to film his latest movie, "Fool's Gold."
Matty added one more lady to his harem yesterday, when he was photographed going buckwild with a local "sheila" at an Irish bar. The two sucked face while "dancing" to a live local band.
Observers said that the actor was surrounded by females all through the night, but was selective about who he would allow himself to be photographed with, until finally, after hours of partying, McConaughey and an unknown brunette called it an evening and headed out around 3 AM ... to get a "kebab."

Actress Tara Reid is currently in Australia making paid appearances, and found time to stop by Sea World for a dip with local fish.
Sea World normally does not permit dolphins and whales to frolic in the same tank, but it appears that this park has made an exception.
It is unknown whether any animals were harmed in the making of this picture.

Before Larry Birkhead and Howard K. Stern went to war over Anna Nicole Smith's newborn kid, the two men actually spent a lot of time together having fun. In these pictures taken last year, the dueling daddy candidates were spotted down under, frolicking with Anna around Sydney's Luna Amusement Park right before the 2005 MTV Awards in Australia. Ah the good ol' days. Birkhead appeared in front of a judge Wednesday morning asking that Anna Nicole be ordered to return from the Bahamas and submit to a paternity test. Unfortunately Birkhead will have to wait for the results, as the hearing was pushed until October 26.

The outpour of emotion in Australia over the death of "Crocodile Hunter" Steve Irwin continues as Australians were urged by media and political figures to participate in "Khaki Friday." Irwin, who was killed when a stingray's barb stabbed him through the heart as he was filming a wildlife documentary off the coast of Australia, had a huge international following as a conservationist. 
What began as a chain email has erupted into a national obsession as fans were urged to wear the trademark khakis Irwin always wore in public. An icon in his native Australia, Steve Irwin's family is planning a private funeral and a large public memorial service so fans can pay their last respects.

After a 14-hour flight, Nick Lachey arrived half way around the world at Australia's Sydney Airport.
Lachey arrived sans Vanessa but not without body guards, and the hunk looked happy to be off the long flight as he slapped on his sunglasses and made his way (smiling the entire time) through waiting paparazzi and excited fans.
But have no fear, Nick won't be on the other side of the world for too long. Nick has to get back to rehearse for his upcoming US tour, scheduled to start next month in Albany, New York.
