We've learned the judge in the Kate Gosselin vs. Jon Gosselin case (formerly known as ("Jon & Kate Plus 8") will hold a conference call between the battling lawyers in the next half hour, and there could be an order forcing Jon to return several hundred thousand dollars back to their joint account.
It will be interesting if the judge lets Jon's lawyer, Mark Heller, on the call -- he's not licensed to practice in PA.
The Gosselins continued their messy break-up in the media today -- with Kate fighting back the waterworks while claiming she can't afford to pay her bills.
Kate came out swinging on "Today" this morning, slamming Jon for clearing $230,000 out of the couple's joint bank account: "You've left your children and their mother unable to pay for the roof over their head. It's unacceptable."
As for Jon's claim the children don't want to do the show anymore, Kate says there was "wailing and sobbing" when she broke the news to 'em that filming has halted.
As TMZ previously reported, Kate's lawyers are going to court today to demand the return of the cash and a contempt citation against Jon. Stay tuned ...
Courtney Love is having trouble gaining access to her daughter's hefty trust fund -- and it's all because the bank claims she's not the only one trying to access the cash.
The First Republic Bank filed papers in federal court in San Francisco last week, claiming there's a dispute over who can access the funds in Frances Bean Cobain's trust -- Courtney or the Laird Norton Tyee Trustee Company.
The bank put a hold on all withdrawals from the trust -- worth over $1.2 million -- until the court can sort out who's really in charge.
Love's attorney, Keith Fink, calls the filling "childish and vindictive" -- telling us Courtney and the trustee agreed to move the $1.2 mil to a different bank ... but FRB doesn't want to lose such a large account, and just filed the papers to stall the transfer.
Sheryl Crow ... still bitter over TMZ's story about Northern Trust -- you know, the bank that hired her to play at a fancy corporate event a few weeks back. It's the same bank that got $1.6 billion in bailout money. Sheryl's point: "Nobody really gives a s**t about TMZ."
P.S. The bank was shamed into agreeing to return the $1.6 bil.
Usher is one person who isn't afraid to admit he'll take money from our busted banking system -- as long as the cash flow goes to his non-profit organization.
Usher -- who was fresh from testifying to Congress about volunteer work -- left his pop persona far behind, instead speaking to us as "Usher Raymond IV" about his New Look organization.
How do we know he was being sincere? Dude wouldn't even plug his own album when we asked.
With one of her 14 cute kids as collateral, OctoMom Nadya Suleman checked on her hard earned federally subsidized money at an L.A. area sperm bank on Wednesday.
In the last few weeks, Octopussy's interest rates have hit rock bottom.
