Catwoman & Batman: Old Friends

Holy time warp, Batman!

Julie Newmar and Adam West

Julie Newmar, 76, and Adam West, 81 -- the original Catwoman and Batman from the campy '60s TV series -- came out of their bat caves and joined forces in Gotham this weekend.

The sight of the dynamic duo together is utterly stunning.

Not every Batman is a raging, angry lunatic -- in fact, the caped crusader who launched the movie franchise, Michael Keaton, was the coolest cat ever when almost every person at the Tampa airport approached him for a picture.

"Dark Knight" -- Too Spicy for China

Seems everyone in the world has seen "The Dark Knight" –- everyone except about a billion Chinese folks.

That's because "DK" hasn't been released by Warner Bros. in mainland China, reports the Huffington Post, because of "prerelease conditions" and "cultural sensitivities." There's a scene that takes place in Hong Kong where Batman corrals a gangster, and another involving a famous actor who got caught up in a sex-pic scandal, and those scenes may have worried the studio.

Of course, as HuffPost points out, bootlegs have been available for months in China.

Accident Kills "Dark Knight" Crew Member

A special effects technician was killed Monday in an accident during London production of the latest Batman film "The Dark Knight."

Warner Bros. said the unidentified crew member died when a truck carrying a camera platform crashed into a tree while following a stunt vehicle. Filming on the movie was not taking place at the time, and no actors were involved in the accident.

The studio issued a statement saying the producers, cast and crew "are deeply saddened by this tragedy and their hearts and prayers go out to the family and loved ones of the deceased."

Heath Does It Donald-Style

Heath Ledger, who'll be playing The Joker in the next Batman opus, scared the hell out of moviegoers -- who caught a glimpse of his hair at the airport! Ack!

Seen here carrying baby Matilda at LAX this weekend, Heath knows that nothing flatters a horrible hairdo like a pair of unfortunate sunglasses ... just ask Britney!

Joker in the Wild

Taking a break from shooting the upcoming "Batman" sequel, Heath Ledger strolled the streets of London yesterday, pushing daughter Matilda Rose in a stroller. Daddy day care, anyone?

Ledger, who will take on the role of The Joker in "The Dark Knight," did diaper duty on the streets of Soho while Matilda's mommy Michelle Williams filmed "Incendiary" with Ewan McGregor.

Perhaps a remake of "Mr. Mom" is in Heath's future.

Ka-Pow! Batman Busted!

Click to return to TMZ.comThe Dark Knight was arrested in Hollywood yesterday after he and Chewbacca took on a group of picketers ... while he tried to use their toilet. Holy S**t, Batman!

According to KABC, a street performer on Hollywood Blvd. dressed as Bruce Wayne's alter ego, got into an altercation with picketing union workers after being refused access to their porta-potty. The Batman-wannabe then taunted the group, whipping his cape to the ground and shouting at the workers.

Then, in a move that would move any fanboy to ecstasy, Chewbacca joined forces with the Caped Crusader and started talking to the group of picketers as well!

Unfortunately, Batman didn't retreat to the Bat Cave fast enough, and was arrested by LAPD for disorderly conduct! Gadzooks!
