The man accused of stalking Jen Garner and Ben Affleck is now facing a barrage of criminal charges after cops arrested the guy on Monday outside the L.A. nursery school where their daughter Violet Affleck is enrolled.
The L.A. District Attorney has charged Steven Burky with two counts of felony stalking and two misdemeanor counts of disobeying a court order -- for allegedly breaking a restraining order the couple filed against him last year.
Garner has claimed in court documents that Burky has been stalking her since 2002. She was granted the restraining order last year after Burky sent her "packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts."
Now, if convicted on stalking charges, Burky -- who's currently in police custody -- could face up to four years in prison.
UPDATE: Burky was just arraigned and pled not guilty. The judge signed a criminal protective order, prohibiting Burky from coming within 500 yards of Garner and her family for the next 3 years. Bail was set at $300,000. Burky remains in custody.

Ben Affleck tried to avoid a scene by having his friend get his car for him yesterday in Brentwood -- but what ended up happening was more embarrassing than "Gigli" and "Daredevil" combined.
After somehow getting Affleck's Lexus into the middle of the road, Ben's bud couldn't get the thing to move again -- seriously blocked traffic in both directions.
Affleck eventually showed up but the damage was already done -- and the frustrated motorists really let him have it with their horns.

We all thought it, but it's actually true -- Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are related. How do you like them apples?
The New England Historic Genealogical Society concluded the Oscar-winning man-friends are actually 10th cousins ... once removed, the Boston Herald reports. They share a common 10th great-grandfather, William Knowlton of Ipswich, a bricklayer who died in 1655.
It also turns out Ben is an 11th cousin to Barack Obama and Matt is related to "six or seven" presidents.
What a family gathering that would make.

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have just purchased a mansion that was formerly owned by Gregory Peck -- thereby placing the couple the closest they will ever get to an acting Oscar.
The 8,000 square foot ranch house in the Pacific Palisades was sold to the couple for a whopping $17.5 million by mega-producer Brian Grazer, according to Hot Property. The five bedroom house features a gym, swimming pool and eight bathrooms -- and Gregory Peck once shot an ad for Pabst Blue Ribbon beer in the den.
The house was originally listed for $27.5 mil. Times are tough people, sometimes $17.5 mil is all a man can get.

Ben Affleck upheld his sworn duty as a Red Sox fan today -- by ripping into a Yankees fan.
Ben was talkin' baseball out in Santa Monica -- but when he found out our photog was a die hard Yankees fan, Affleck felt obligated to talk a little trash.
FYI -- neither one of them won the World Series last year.

Jennifer Garner just got a permanent restraining order against the man who has allegedly terrorized her.
Garner's lawyer, Blair Berk, just appeared in downtown L.A. court and got an order against Steven Burky, prohibiting him from having contact with Garner for three years.
Law enforcement tells us Berky is currently under a 5150 psychiatric hold.
Under the permanent order, Burky must stay 100 yards away from Garner, Ben Affleck, daughter Violet, the nanny, housekeeper, and others.
He can't go near her home, the kid's school or her workplace.

Jennifer Garner has obtained a court order protecting herself from a man she believes is endangering her family.
TMZ has obtained docs ordering Steven Burky to stay clear of Garner -- no contact whatsoever.
In her declaration, Garner says "Mr. Burky has been stalking and harassing me," sending "packages and letters containing delusional and paranoid thoughts and following me around the country ..."
Garner says Burky has been harassing her since 2002, but in the last year "his obsessive and harassing behavior has escalated to the point of becoming dangerous and threatening."
Garner says Burky has shown up at her home and said, "God has sent him a vision of her being persecuted in some manner that may result in her death."
Garner says she fears for herself, husband Ben Affleck and daughter Violet. She also says "I am currently pregnant and fear for the safety of my second child once born."
Burky has written a blog called Satanic Panic, asking, "Are multitudes of adults resorting to human sacrifices and then repressing this information from fear of Christ..."
A judge issued a temporary restraining order earlier this month. There's a hearing tomorrow to make the order permanent.
Garner's security guy, Dennis Bridwell, also submitted a declaration in which he said Burky described himself as a "crazed Alias fan," once finding her at an event, giving her roses and a card that read "I love you forever" along with his contact information. Bridwell says Burky has stalked Garner around the country, adding, "Mr. Burky now represents a clear threat to Ms. Garner's life."
We've learned the LAPD has taken the threat seriously and has been involved in the case.
Law enforcement sources tell us Burky is currently under a 5150 psychiatric hold.

One D.C. photog tried to smooth talk Ben Affleck into moving to the nation's capital -- it didn't work.
Affleck said the two D.C. paps were two too many. He currently lives in L.A. with Jen Garner ... and hundreds of friendly neighborhood paparazzi.
