A judge threw out a case against Bob Barker -- the former host of "The Price is Right" -- ruling the claim by a former black show employee that Barker tolerated racism was bogus.
Deborah Curling sued Barker, alleging racial, anti-Semitic and sexist jokes were rampant on the set.
The judge had previously thrown out most of the case -- but now the fat lady has sung on Curling's case.
The only issue "The Price is Right" has with color involve the choices for some of the cars they give away -- a burnt-orange Pontiac ... please.

If there's any funny business with the contestant on "The Price Is Right" who nailed the Showcase Showdown to the penny, Bob Barker doesn't have a clue.

Yesterday at the L.A. Zoo, Bob said the double showcase winner was definitely a first. But we did some checking -- fact is, it happened on the nighttime version of the show back in 1972, right around when Bob started his run.

Pet reproduction isn't the only thing Bob Barker wants put a stop to!
The ex-"Price is Right" host wrote a letter to the Discovery Science Center in Santa Ana, CA -- opposing an educational stunt in which an Asian elephant would be enclosed inside a soapy bubble. Yes, an Asian elephant enclosed inside a soapy bubble.
Barker criticized the zany stunt for its lack of educational merit, saying, "Such a stunt does not instill respect for these very special and endangered animals ... it sends the message that elephants are mere objects of entertainment."
Bob has a point -- but who wouldn't want to see an elephant enclosed inside a soapy bubble?

Bob Barker's been away from television for just a month, but it seems like an eternity. For those of you who have wandered aimlessly in abject forlornness, fear not, your pitiable life may have just gotten a bit brighter. You can buy Bob's chair on eBay if ... the price is right.

Mr. Barker has donated his on-set chair, emblazoned with W.G.M.C., which stands for "World's Greatest Master of Ceremonies," a nickname given to him by his staff of yore. And now it can be yours. Letter of authenticity included -- handwritten by Bob. That alone, is priceless.
100% of the proceeds from the sale will go to United Activists for Animal Rights.

It's been just over 3 months since Bob Barker hung up his microphone -- but it seems like longer. How can time pass so slowly? If only there were a way to keep track! Thanks to this timeless eBay item -- you can!
Get Bob on your wrist, and keep those sweet memories of Plinko, rabid contestants, and spaying and neutering your pets.
Bob Barker -- forever.

Not only did Rosie O'Donnell come on down and meet with CBS execs to discuss taking over Bob Barker's orthopedic slippers, TMZ has learned she actually had to audition for the job and even filmed a "Price Is Right" test show. Do you know who I am?!

Rosie made the revelation during a crowd-pleasing twenty-minute standup routine on the L.A. stop of the Human Rights Coalition's True Colors tour on Saturday. The outspoken Democrat joked that one of the reasons the "Price" gig didn't happen was because she ad-libbed the line, "Don't forget to spay and neuter your Republicans." Arf!
O'Donnell's good friend, '80s popstar Cyndi Lauper, created the tour in order to raise awareness of issues and discrimination faced by gays and lesbians. The show featured musical performances by Cyndi, Erasure and Debbie Harry among others.
A source at CBS told TMZ that, to their knowledge, Rosie did not do any "Price" test shows.

He came. He saw. He Plinko'd.
After 35 years of Showcase Showdowns, wheel-spinning, and being mauled by crazily hyperactive contestants, Bob Barker has finally come on down for the last time. Today, the man who laid a hurtin' on Happy Gilmore and who put the fear of god into every pet with a functional nether region, made his last appearance as the host of "The Price is Right," and entered the priceless world of retirement. May he rest in peace.

After 35 years, Bob Barker is stepping down from hosting "The Price Is Right," and that has some of his most loyal fans camping out overnight to catch one last glimpse of the TV icon in all his price-guessing glory.
With Bob's last tape day set for this Wednesday, June 6, TMZ caught up with wannabe contestants who have already lined-up on the street -- some for over two days! Um, does the Showcase Showdown come with a shower?!
Barker fanatics who don't have the time (or the insanity) to wait around outside for days can watch his final episode at home, when it airs June 15. Tent, blankets and porta-potty not included!

TMZ was first to report that George Hamilton was a front-runner to grab Bob Barker's stick mic as the replacement "Price is Right" host ... but now it seems that the perennially tan Hamilton may have been beached.

New sources tell TMZ that John O'Hurley is the leader of the pack, saying, "He auditioned and they loved him!" Reps from CBS declined to comment on either of the candidates. O'Hurley, best known as Mr. Peterman on "Seinfeld," has appeared as host on numerous shows, including Mrs. America, the Emmys and "Family Feud." He also showed that he has all the right moves on the first season of "Dancing with the Stars." Spin that wheel!
Perhaps they should all just play a competition round of Plinko!
UPDATE -- Or maybe not. Sources now tell TMZ that O'Hurley loves doing "Family Feud," "hated" doing "Price is Right," and would only take the gig if producers paid him a ton of money!
Could this all be a ploy to drive down the asking price of the two guys that really, really want the gig (Mark Steines and Todd Newton)?
UPDATE TO THE UPDATE: Through his rep, John O'Hurley tells TMZ, "I would be honored to be considered to take over for Bob Barker and replace someone that I admire so much." His rep adds that Hurley didn't hate doing "Price is Right" -- in fact, he has never even hosted it!

Daniel Smith had a stunning combination of seven drugs, including multiple anti-depressants and cold medicines, in his system when he died on Sept. 10 in the Bahamas, according to toxicology reports, four more than had been previously reported. Dr. Cyril Wecht confirmed the reports Wednesday on Court TV's "Catherine Crier Live" after he was confronted with the new information by reporter Michel Bryant. According to Wecht, the son of Anna Nicole Smith had the antidepressant Amitriptyline as well as two over-the-counter cold medications in his body along with the methadone, Lexapro, and Zoloft that had previously been found. Another source tells People that a mild over-the-counter sedative was also present in his body. Wecht thinks that the newly discovered medications are "insignificant and they don't mean a thing. They're of no consequence."
Borat's Fair-Weathered Friend
Sacha Baron Cohen's Borat character might make audiences roll in the aisles with laughter when he bumbles into theaters later today, but there's at least one person who doesn't think the faux-Kazahki journalist is such a gas. TV news producer Dharma Arthur is claiming that Baron Cohen's wacky antics cost her her job – and sent her into a deep depression.
In the movie, as Newsweek reports (
via FOX News), Borat appears on a live noon-hour news show on WAPT in Jackson, Miss., and proceeds to do his usual havoc-wreaking schtick with the anchorman and the weather guy, mixing in plenty of sex and toilet humor and disrupting the weather report. Arthur was the producer who booked Borat – and was subsequently let go as a result. "Because of [Baron Cohen], my boss lost faith in my abilities and second-guessed everything I did thereafter," she writes in Newsweek. "I spiraled into depression, and before I could recover I was released from my contract early."
The Next Bob Barker? Name Your Price
Start rolling out the punny headlines – CBS "Early Show" weatherman Dave Price is being touted as the replacement for "Price is Right" host Bob Barker, who just announced his imminent retirement on Tuesday.
Page Six speculates that CBS chief Les Moonves had to pay Barker off to retire, because, as one former co-worker put it, "Bob always swore he would die on that show. He had a unique contract where it was for life – and if he left unwillingly, the show had to go dark for a year effectively killing it." Plus, Moonves apparently loves wacky weatherguy Price, who had been threatening to jump ship to Fox, which he left to come to CBS. Indeed, in September, reports the New York Daily News, Price was trying out Barker's job in a run-through at the "Price is Right's" production company's studio. And well-placed TMZ spies tell us that Price has just inked a long-term contract with the network so Moonves can place Price on "Price" with no problem. And we're further told Price is "chomping at the bit" for the gig.
Leno Puts Fat Foot in Mouth at Gala
Jay Leno's supposedly comic material at the Carousel of Hope gala – a benefit for juvenile diabetes – raised eyebrows, as the funnyman made fat jokes to a crowd trying to fight a disease tied closely to obesity, and with Jason Davis, the rather, um, robust grandson (and brother of Brandon) of the hostess, Barbara Davis, sitting in the front row.
As the Los Angeles Times notes, Leno made jokes about Dairy Queen, Domino's Pizza, and this instant non-classic – "Scientists now believe obesity is caused by a virus. Does that mean you can now call in fat to work? 'Sorry boss. I can't make it today. My ass is as big as a house.'" – that elicited loud groans from the high-roller crowd.
Party Favors: Dixie Chicks Love Kanye ... Wyclef Falls All Over Cuba ... DeNiro and Fitty Team Up ... "Halo" Flick Postponed Indefinitely
Bush-bashing country trio Dixie Chicks think that what Kanye West did during the Hurricane Katrina benefit – criticize the President -- was "brave." The particularly strident Natalie Maines tells Playboy magazine, "That was one of the greatest television moments of all time ... I would have chickened out." ... Wyclef Jean fell over flat on his face in his gorilla suit on his way to welcome Cuba Gooding, Jr. to the Halloween party at PM,
say Rush & Molloy, looking like "King Kong after he fell from the Empire State Building." Cuba teased him, calling him "Shakira, Shakira." ... Robert De Niro and 50 Cent are teaming up to star in a police corruption drama called "New Orleans" which was originally set in LA but will now be set in the Big Easy, post-Katrina,
says the Hollywood Reporter ... The big-budge "Halo" movie from "Lord of the Rings" director Peter Jackson has been delayed. It was originally slated for summer 2008 but with financial backing dissolving, Microsoft says it will push off the much-buzzed-about project until later.

Bob Barker pleaded with city officials to close the Los Angeles Zoo's pachyderm exhibit and allow its three elephants to retire to a sanctuary.
Appearing jovial when he arrived at Friday's City Council meeting, the veteran game show host and longtime animal rights activist turned serious when he began to talk about the zoo's elephants, Gita, Ruby and Billy.
"I came here today to ask, to beg you ... to vote to release those elephants from that zoo," Barker said. "They have lived in misery."
Gita and Ruby are ill, leaving only Billy on display. A fourth elephant, Tara, died in 2004.
Several zoos nationwide, including San Francisco's, have closed their elephant exhibits.
Barker denounced plans to build a 2-acre, $19 million exhibit at the Los Angeles Zoo that supporters say would provide a spacious and more natural environment for the elephants. The 82-year-old host of "The Price is Right" said it was too costly and would likely be obsolete by the time it is completed.
The exhibit was not an issue on the council's agenda and no vote was taken.
"There's only one solution to the tragic, the embarrassing elephant problem going on at (the zoo), and it's to release those elephants from captivity and place them in a sanctuary," Barker said.
