It's true! Nick Cannon, from MTV's "Wild 'N Out," is being honored today at the Cannes Film Festival. Apparently, someone feels that his performance in "Bobby" was groundbreaking -- and qualifies Canon as the "Breakthrough Actor of the Year."
That's quite an accomplishment for someone whose prior memorable moments include improv fart noises and "yo mama's so fat" jokes.
A legend in the making.

Demi Moore sings a version of the Richard Berry classic, "Louie Louie," in former flame Emilio Estevez's highly anticipated political drama, "Bobby."
Not known for her vocal abilities, listening to her sing this track might surprise you. And yes, TMZ has confirmed, it's really Demi singing. Cool!

The upcoming movie "Bobby," an ensemble drama about the 1968 assassination of Robert F. Kennedy directed by Emilio Estevez, has drawn praise from the former senator's widow and one of his daughters.
"Our family is grateful to Emilio Estevez and the extraordinary cast of 'Bobby' for remembering Robert Kennedy's life and his commitment to social justice, peace and equality," Ethel Kennedy said in a statement released today by the Weinstein Company, the producers of the film.
Kennedy's daughter Kerry, who was 8 years old at the time, said, "To remember Robert Kennedy's life, his commitment to social justice and civil rights, his determination to end war and to make America an instrument of a more just and peaceful world is the purpose of this movie – and for that our family is most grateful to Emilio Estevez, Harvey Weinstein and the cast of extraordinary talents that have made this project possible."
The film features Harry Belafonte, Joy Bryant, Nick Cannon, Emilio Estevez, Laurence Fishburne, Brian Geraghty, Heather Graham, Anthony Hopkins, Helen Hunt, Joshua Jackson, David Krumholtz, Ashton Kutcher, Shia LaBeouf, Lindsay Lohan, William H. Macy, Svetlana Metkina, Demi Moore, Freddy Rodriguez, Martin Sheen, Christian Slater, Sharon Stone, Jacob Vargas, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Elijah Wood.
The film opens in select cities November 17 and nationwide on November 23.

We're not sure who Irina Brodinova is, or if Mr. Firestone dated her, but we do know who Ivana Bozilovic is. And she and Andrew are as cute as two peas in a pod. Back in March, Andrew gave an interview to TVGuide.com in which he credits the patience of his model-actress girlfriend as the reason for them being able to remain together for over a year. 2) Lisa Has Just GOTTA KNOW: I just gotta know when Beyoncé's new album is coming out and are she and Jay-Z engaged? Because I read in a weekly magazine that they had planned to get married this summer. Is that true?
Regarding her professional life, September 5 is the date we're all counting down to, for Beyoncé's second solo album hit stores. "B-Day" is the album title and "Déjà Vu" is her first single. The song features none other than Jay-Z. Regarding her personal life, she and her man have managed to keep lip-locked on the specifics regarding the extent of their relationship. There was speculation two weekends ago that a wedding ceremony may have taken place at Martha's Vineyard. The two attempted to rent a fabulous house, leaving many to speculate this would be the location to celebrate the would-be event. 3) Liz and Nicole Have Just GOTTA KNOW: Where has Joshua Jackson been? We never see him anymore.
MIA seems to be the best way to describe "Dawson's Creek's" Joshua Jackson lately. Earlier this year Jackson completed filming for the pilot "Capital Law," a would-be drama for CBS in which legal associates at a law firm clash with their ethically lacking managing partner. Unfortunately, the pilot was not picked up by the network. But don't fret -- expect to see Joshua playing quite a different role in the Emilio Estevez directed movie "Bobby" alongside Demi Moore and Anthony Hopkins. 4) Jenn Has Just GOTTA KNOW: Whatever happened to Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher? They got married and then dropped off the face of the planet!

In this dramatic role, she is convinced by a soon-to-be-retired janitor (Michael Caine) to go along with a plot to steal diamonds from the London Diamond Corporation -- Demi and the janitor's employer. In other news, Demi and Ashton can be seen together in the movie "Bobby," a drama about US Senator Robert F. Kennedy's assassination. "Bobby" is due out in theaters in late November.
