Former Dodgers pitcher Brad Penny doesn't know who he's gonna be playing for now that he's a free agent, but last night outside the Belmont he made one thing clear -- he sure as hell doesn't wanna come back to L.A.

UPDATE: Penny has signed with the Giants, according to SportsIllustrated.com.

It only took 968 questionable criminal background checks -- but at least law enforcement officials in Massachusetts know Tom Brady is clean.
An internal investigation revealed that several Massachusetts officials have been snooping around in the personal files of several Boston area celebs -- including Brady, Matt Damon, James Taylor and Boston Celtic Paul Pierce, according to the Boston Globe.
Authorities are investigating to see who ran the searches and to find out if they were all warranted -- but 968 searches on a guy as flawless as Tom Brady seems a bit excessive to us...

With the recent Boston terror freakout over the Mooninite handmade lite-brites used in a guerrilla marketing campaign for an upcoming "Aqua Teen Hunger Force" movie, it was only a matter of time before someone made a commemorative T-shirt; a day, to be exact.
Raplica.com is selling the shirts with the now infamous image of Mooninite giving the finger, and the caption "ATHF is the bomb." According to a spokesman from the website, the T-shirts even glow in the dark!
If you do purchase one, you might want to steer clear of Boston, just in case.

With names like Harry and the Potters, Draco and the Malfoys and The Hermione Crookshanks Experience it appears that the Harry Potter phenomenon will be around for a while. These Harry Potter influenced bands have brought a whole new sound to the world of Hogwarts.

The pioneers and most successful in this new music genre is Harry and the Potters, a band comprised of two brothers whose mantra is everyone should read books and then pick up instruments (regardless of whether or not you can play) and sing about it. "HatP" play around the Boston area where they are based, but in the summer they take their show on the road. Their venue of choice? Why- libraries of course.
This past tour they invited Draco and the Malfoys to join them. Draco's harder sound goes hand in hand with the character who serves as the arch-nemesis of Harry in the famous children's books.
The bands prescribe to a DIY (do it yourself) style, booking their own shows and pressing their own CDs, and have also built a grass roots following using MySpace as their very own Wizard Rock central.
So if you're feeling a little down while you wait for the next "Harry Potter" book or movie, download some Harry and the Potters and rock the night away.

Blender magazine released one of the most traumatic, comical, and true top 10 ten lists that has been released this year in the world of music. The 10 Songs That You Were Probably Conceived To.

As if picturing your folks having sex wasn't cringe-worthy enough, setting the scene to music borders on the sadistic. Here, we propose the parental playlist that wafted from the 8-track when skateboards had fat wheels, Homer Simpson had flowing brown hair and your folks were easing out of halter tops and bell-bottom jeans. Remember: If the master bedroom is rockin', for the love of God, DON'T COME KNOCKIN'!
