Big Apple Bash
TMZ's cameras were outside the celeb-packed NY soiree after the screening of "Flags Of Our Fathers" at the SoHo Grand Hotel on Tuesday night, and we were able to catch all the action going down.
Our all-seeing lensman caught the likes of the gorgeous Sarah Jessica Parker, hip-hop mogul Damon Dash, Laura Linney, "Spider-Man" star Elizabeth Banks, Jesse Bradford and a very angry-looking Reese Witherspoon, who was with hubby Ryan Phillippe.
We also stopped by persistently celeb-infested downtown hotspot Butter, where we spotted Jake Gyllenhaal, Lance Armstrong, a solo Tim Robbins, R&B star Cassie and "That '70s Show" star Danny Masterson, who cleared up dating rumors for our viewers.

Stars Still Dancing to the Bank?
Do the celebs get paid to be on "Dancing with the Stars"?
As it turns out, Frances, the celebs who appear on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars" do get monetarily rewarded for all of the blood, sweat and tears they put into those grueling practices. However, according to past celebs, like season two winner Drew Lachey, the payoff is pocket change compared to the big ratings the network receives. It is reported that they get a measly (if that's what you want to call it) $245,000 for up to eight weeks of dancing. And for those of you too lazy to do the math, that breaks down to $30,625 a week. Do with that what you will.

Cassie - From MySpace to Ours
Take one look at Cassie's MySpace page and it's easy to see why the 19-year-old model-turned-singer has over 300,000 friends. Other than her super sexy looks, her song "Me & U" has become one of the hottest songs of the summer.
"As far as the fame, it really happened overnight. As soon as the video went into heavy rotation on MTV and BET you couldn't stop it," she Cassie of her newfound notoriety. "I lived in the city for a year and a half and no one knew who I was and all of sudden I can't walk down the street. It's really strange. I can't get used to it."
After moving to NYC to be a model (the singer has appeared in ads for Abercrombie & Fitch, Delia's and Target to name a few), Cassie was discovered by producer Ryan Leslie, who encouraged her to start a MySpace page to promote her now hit single. Due in part to the success of that MySpace page, Diddy took notice and teamed up with Leslie to release her debut album.
Though her first single is already a hit, Cassie says she can always fall back on modeling if the music career fades, "I am actually still signed to Wilhelmina. It is always there if I want to go back to it."
