A Portrait of Truthiness

Colbert ReportPolitical pundit and all-around great American Stephen Colbert is giving back to the nation that has warmly embraced him like a mother embraces her American-born child.

As announced on last night's "Colbert Report," Stephen Colbert is auctioning off the famous portrait of himself standing in front of a portrait of himself (see picture to clear up any confusion). The proceeds from the auction will benefit Save the Children.

"I've already saved the world. How hard could saving the children be?" Colbert said.

Now let's say you don't have the extra cash lying around for your very own Colbert portrait within a portrait (again see picture), how about showing your political leanings with a Colbert for President bumper sticker? Of course Colbert is bringing Vice President Stewart along for the ride.

So get out there and spend those tax cuts. America needs your cash!

Colbert Skewers Clueless Politicians

Stephen ColbertStephen Colbert is what Bill O'Reilly would be if he had a sense of humor. For two seasons, Colbert has satirized the right-wing political pundit for the amusement of Comedy Central viewers. Colbert has been so successful that his word "truthiness" was voted the 2005 Word of the Year by the American Dialect Society. He's even spawned his own political party.
