Ryan Seacrest's alleged stalker -- Chidi Uzomah -- sent a Southern California college campus into panic last year when he walked around in camouflage holding what appeared to be an M16 rifle.

We've learned Uzomah had just finished training with the ROTC at Cal State Dominguez Hills on February 21, 2008. Instead of taking his camouflage off and putting his dummy rifle in a bag, he decide to parade around campus in full regalia, rifle in hand.
It set off a panic for nearly a half hour. Uzomah was not arrested. We're told several months after the incident, Uzomah was sent packing from ROTC -- we do not know what triggered the dismissal.
Uzomah -- who was twice caught with a knife in his pocket recently looking for Ryan Seacrest -- has been charged with felony stalking and several other crimes. He's currently in custody.

A Connecticut college has initiated a new program to keep David Letterman interns at arms length from the host.
A rep from Quinnipiac University tells TMZ:
"Due to recent circumstances we will have a discussion with those in charge of placing our interns at the David Letterman show in the future.
We will diligently oversee this internship program to ensure that our interns are out of harm's way."
David might be happy to know the college has no plans to end the program.

There's going to be quite a few happy students at UCLA today -- because James Franco has dropped out of giving the keynote speech at this year's graduation.
You'll remember back in March, a group of 200-something students launched a Facebook protest against Franco -- who graduated only a year earlier, was only an "average student," and fell asleep in class -- giving the big speech.
Franco said in a statement: "I deeply regret not being able to keep my commitment to giving the commencement speech at UCLA's graduation this year.
Unfortunately the date conflicts with me needing to be on location to begin pre-production on my next film. I wish everyone in the 2009 class the best of luck in all of their future endeavors."
He probably would have overslept and missed it anyway.

Despite his affinity for combat, Chris Brown won't be a Spartan anytime soon -- as in the kind who attend Norfolk State University.
Brown was spotted on the campus grounds in his home state of Virginia this weekend. But TMZ has confirmed Brown was only there as a "support factor" for his cousin, who is a prospective student.
Brown, his mother and his cousin spent their Saturday taking the First View campus tour -- a guided, private trek through the entire Norfolk campus, including the dorms, the offices and the classrooms.
We're told some people recognized Brown on the tour, but sources close to the situation tell us, "People know what's going on with him and they were not paying him much attention at all."
We're also told Brown has "not applied," has "not enrolled" and is "not interested" in attending NSU at this point.
Too bad ... dude has a lot to learn.

So you wonder who's gonna pay for Octomom's bushel of kiddies? Well this pic may foretell the future.

Nadya Suleman got the Denver boot two years ago for not paying parking tickets. The pic was taken in the parking lot of the Cal State Fullerton Children's Center. The future Octomom was attending school there when she came out to her Toyota Sienna to find she got the boot. Two of her kids -- #2 and #3 -- were in the front seat.
We did some digging and at the time the minivan was booted she had 3 delinquent parking tickets -- all issued on campus at Cal State Fullerton.

We're told the silhouette in the back seat is Nadya feeding another member of the soon-to-be-ever-growing brood.

What's the use of going to college if you can't completely waste four (or more) years of your life on cheap beer, cheaper sex, and free condoms?

Well, according to the resident analysts at CollegeHumor.com, not very much. The ribald comedy site employed a rigorously absurdist methodology to produce its very first ranking of the colleges where students can, in its own parlance, have "the most fun while putting forth the least effort."
No doubt the famous alumni and attendees of Michigan State University -- like James Caan, and Angelina Jolie and Christina Aguilera, who took correspondence classes there -- will be thrilled to hear that they've landed right at the top, with the most compelling mix of low SAT scores, late bar-closing times, and Greek-system density (among many other factors) amongst the fifty schools surveyed.
Big Ten schools did marvelously on the whole, with nine of its member colleges placing in the top 20 of the CollegeHumor rankings, meaning that such notable alums as Madonna (U. of Michigan), Kevin Kline (Indiana U.), and Ashton Kutcher (Iowa) were privy to some of the finest college-life available to young Americans, even if it was a few years ago. Will Ferrell's beloved University of Southern California apparently isn't a total hotbed of salacity, as it came in 34th.

This is the time of year when many college-bound guys and girls enjoy their last summer of freedom before heading off to the halls of higher education. While a BA is by no means a Hollywood prerequisite, lately there seem to be a large number of college-aged stars who are choosing nightclubs over bookclubs.
From Lindsay Lohan to Kristin Cavallari, check out which stars are studying hard and which are partying hard.
