"American Idol" clone "Nashville Star" wanted Pussycat Dolls to perform on Monday's show, but instead wound up with their lingerie-clad, gyrating, girl group clone Danity Kane!
Sources tell TMZ that, as of last Thursday, the Pussycats confirmed they would perform on the show as part of that night's "Pop Goes Country" theme and their appearance started to get promoted. But, on Friday, we're told, Interscope tried to get PCD's tween label mates, Clique Girlz, booked on the show.

Rapper/party planner P. Diddy threw his ninth annual "White Party" at his East Hampton home on Sunday. It was white hot!
Mary-Kate Olsen's clone, Ashley, arrived at Diddy's palace wearing a shaggy, cut-and-paste outfit that would have looked better on a Scooby-Doo ghost. Yikes!
TMZ cameras were there as Lil' Kim got off her plane -- ready to party in a hot, chesty white mini-dress. Mariah Carey topped Kim outside the event, as she sucked in her stomach and struck a pose. Troublesome Busta Rhymes showed up in a sleeveless shirt, displaying his well-inked arms.
The after party at club Dune saw a single member from pop flop Danity Kane -- Dawn. Home movie star Tommy Lee forgot to leave his headphones at home, and before he made his way inside, he got hot with a balloon -- hugging it, then boxing it. Once the preoccupied percussionist heard the music thumping inside, he bobbed his way through the door.
P. Diddy made his presence known while pimpin' some nighttime shades. All this and more in today's "Put Your White Pants Away" Star Catcher!

Diva Aubrey O'Day found herself in a heap of trouble last week when she all but flat-out admitted to TMZ that she was leaving P. Diddy-created "supergroup" Danity Kane for a better gig with the Pussycat Dolls. Now she's done a 180, and loudly reaffirmed her love for DK!
TMZ's camera's caught O'Day knockin' on DK and Diddy last week, with O'Day saying that she "hasn't looked at [Diddy] for more than ten minutes" and that she didn't know what was up with a second DK album. That's a harsh 'tude from a reality TV pop tart!
In response to the damaging video, the ever-talkative O'Day released the following statement:
Once again I would like to put to rest absurd rumors. I love being a member of Danity Kane and have always been down with DK musically. I'm looking forward to a second DK album and I totally support all members of DK in all of their endeavors.

The future's lookin' pretty damn bleak for Diddy's female superband Danity Kane -- and now it looks like one of the members is already jumping ship.
TMZ cameras caught Aubrey O'Day lookin' like a hot mess outside of Teddy's in Hollywood last night, where she called out Diddy for practically ditching the band and suspiciously wouldn't deny rumors that she was joining up with the Pussycat Dolls. Take that! Take that! Take that!
DK is was the third group created by the MTV reality show "Making the Band." The other two "supergroups" -- O-Town and Da Band -- well, lets just say they never really reached their potential either.

If Danity Kane falls through (chances are it will), at least Aubrey O'Day has a backup career in telephone dating.
O'Day was spotted outside the Heatherette fashion show -- looking like an overblown cartoon of Paris Hilton -- where she exclaimed, "I'm always single, if you're looking, call me." The number she gave: 1-800-HOT-CHICK (and for those of you who are going to try and call, it's not a real number).

With Mess USA Tara Conner just out of rehab, the world is waiting to see who will be crowned the next barfly princess. From the looks of Aubrey O'Day of Danity Kane, the wait is over! 
The cocktail-clasping chanteuse celebrated her 23rd birthday at NYC hotspot Katra on Monday, sporting smeared linebacker eyeliner leftover from the Super Bowl, and a layered satin 80s dress straight out of Molly Ringwald's prom line. Aubrey should have gone with pretty in pink instead.
While having fun on your birthday is natural, looking like a PSA for the morning after pill is not!

What's Fred Durst been doing? He's been out of the limelight too long! --Melissa
Melissa, our boy's all grown up! Fred Durst has movies on the brain. He's going to be starring in and directing "The Education of Charlie Banks," about a young boy growing up in the 80s who learns to face his fears. We've all got to do it sometime!
We tried to find out if any music was in the making, but reps for Fred couldn't be reached. Stay tuned - we're still on it!

P. Diddy is set to release his new CD "Press Play" on October 17th and on it is a song he "borrowed" from the group he created, Danity Kane. During the last season of the MTV runaway hit show "Making The Band", the group worked on one untitled song which never made it on their record. Well that song has now resurfaced, on Diddy's album
The song officially titled "Tell Me" features the amazing vocals of Christina Aguilera. When contacted, a rep for Diddy did not to comment.
Listen to a snippet of the song and decide for yourself whether or not Diddy made the right move.
