Greasy and Blaine: Magical Mystery Bear

In the "What the hell are they hanging out for?" moment of the day, Brandon "Greasy Bear" Davis and flimflam performer, David Blaine, were seen leaving Hyde together. Mysterious strangers!

As Britney Spears latched onto Criss Angel to help her fail at the VMAs, is it possible Greasy needs David to bolster his career as a, um ... his career as a ... yeah. Who knows?

What the Hell is David Blaine Up to Now?

David Blaine: Click to watchBlaine's back and doing what he does best -- performing somewhat lame stunts and passing them off as a magical feat -- this time it's being locked into a gyroscope suspended 50 feet over a concrete parking lot and spinning for four days.

To his credit, he will attempt to pull a Houdini and escape a padlock before 6:00 AM on Friday. If he is successful,100 children and their families (chosen by the Salvation Army) will receive a shopping spree at Target. Something tells us he won't let 100 needy families suffer on the day after Thanksgiving, but Blaine did fail in his last high profile stunt by not breaking the world record for holding his breath underwater. Blaine attempted to break the record after submerging himself in a water-filled sphere for seven days. The stunt proved to be more challenging than he originally envisioned, and it nearly cost him his life.

The "magician's" other stunts have included standing on a 100-foot pole for 35 hours, and being buried alive in a clear plastic coffin for a week. Poof.

Courtney Cox's Underwater 'Friend'

Courtney Cox, David Arquette and their 23-month old daughter, Coco, paid a visit to submerged illusionist David Blaine at his underwater exhibit.

Blaine has been living in an eight-foot-high water-filled sphere in New York's Lincoln Center since Monday.

The wannabe Houdini was happy to see the family and wrote a special message saying little Coco looked "beautiful."

Blaine will emerge from his water world on Monday, May 8th.

Copperfield Uses His Powers for Good, Blaine Uses His for Ratings

While David Blaine seems to seek out danger, fellow magician David Copperfield uses everything in his bag of tricks to ward it off.

Blaine is set to undergo another death-defying feat. Beginning May 1, he will live seven days under water, trapped inside a human aquarium. At the end of the week, he will cut off his air supply and try and hold his breath underwater for nine minutes -- which would be a world record. He will re-emerge from the water May 8 in a televised ABC special.

"I'm willing to put my life into it," Blaine told 'EXTRA.' "I don't mind taking a risk."

Over the weekend, Copperfield was able to use his skills -- not to make an airplane disapper, but to avoid being robbed.

David Blaine: Godly Powers

If only magician David Blaine could've made this suit disappear! Christopher Roller sued the master of illusion for millions claiming Blaine stole the Minnesota man's godly powers to perform magic. Roller once filed a similar suit against David Copperfield, unsuccessfully demanding that he explain his magic tricks in court. Roller sought $50 million against Copperfield and a percentage of future earnings.

Roller claimed to be a deity, and insisted the movie 'The Truman Show' is based on his real life experience. "Don't hate me for the wonderful freak I am," said Roller. Neither magician has been able to make his case vanish. But TMZ's Harvey Levin says these suits are really silly.
