Rihanna feels Chris Brown had "no limits" because fame came to him at such a young age -- and that may have played a role in the brutal beating earlier this year.

Rihanna told Diane Sawyer on "20/20" last night, "Fame came to Chris very young ... You're a kid and the word 'no' doesn't exist? You become invincible. There's no right or wrong, you just do."
RiRi also said she hasn't heard Chris' "apology" song and thinks his apology video online looked like he was reading from a teleprompter.

Rihanna revealed that she got back with Chris Brown after the brutal beating she took in February -- but broke it off for good when she realized the dangerous message she was sending to her young fans.

This morning on "Good Morning America" an emotional Rihanna told Diane Sawyer she didn't want to be responsible for "some young girl getting killed" for following in her footsteps.
Rihanna added "Don't react off of love. Eff love."

UPDATE: BTW -- the vom-fest was edited out of the West Coast airing of "Today."
UPDATE: TMZ has learned the Larimer County Sheriff's Dept. has called an internal meeting at 8 AM local time to determine what they're going to do in this case.
Just when you thought the balloon boy saga couldn't get more twisted, six-year-old Falcon Heene just threw up during a live interview ... while his father and Meredith Vieira kept chatting it up.

Right after the family was asked to explain Falcon's comments on Larry King Live that his "disappearance" was "all for the show," the kid asked his mom to "give me the cup" ... and, well, you can guess what happened next.
He walked off an interview earlier during "GMA" for the same reason.
WARNING: This is just nasty.

High-definition television displays everything in stunning detail -- too much detail for some TV personalities.

A high-ranking ABC executive told the TV technology website TVPredictions.com that it's common practice for networks to soften their HD image (sometimes by using specially-made HD camera filters) to make their talent look better. "For years, we've softened the image for certain performers," the executive said in an e-mail to Phillip Swann, President and Publisher of TVPredictions.com. "To do so in HD is just a continuation of that."
Readers of TVPredictions.com complained on the site's message boards that shows like "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams," "Good Morning America" and "Today" don't look as good as most HD programming -- presumably because of covering up the flaws of their hosts. "CBS Evening News with Katie Couric" has yet to go the HD route. Swann has referred to her as "not HD-friendly." Ouch.

Mel Gibson says his anti-Semitic rant the night of his DUI arrest was the "stupid rambling of a drunkard."
Gibson told ABC's Diane Sawyer, "What I need to do (is) to heal myself and to be assuring and allay the fears of others and to heal them if they had any heart wounds from something I may have said."
TMZ broke the story detailing Gibson's tirade after his July 28th arrest in Malibu. He has since pleaded no contest to drunk driving and was sentenced to three years probation. The actor has also entered an Alcoholics Anonymous program.
The Sawyer interview will air this Thursday and Friday on "Good Morning America." Thursday's segment will feature Gibson's comments about alcoholism and drunk driving, and Friday's installment will deal with Gibson's anti-Semitic comments.

Diane Sawyer skipped out on a party thrown for Chris Cuomo, Sam Champion and other "Good Morning America" staffers last Friday -- and a source says that it's a sure sign that the news diva is planning on leaving the show soon.
Just as the competition heats up with "Today" after Meredith Vieira's arrival, a Sawyer sayonara could be a difficult blow to the ABC morning property. "The staff took Diane's absence as a clear message she is leaving the show," says a source to Rush & Molloy, "and is slowly starting to separate herself from it." Sawyer, say the columnists, had just arrived from interviewing Mel Gibson in his first post-DUI sit-down.
But an ABC rep dismisses any notion of Diane leaving: "She was sick in bed. She called [ABC News chief] David Westin and ['GMA' producer] Jim Murphy to see if she should still come. They urged her stay home."

Princess of Perk Rachael Ray brought her act to talk-show land this morning, and did her best as a chat neophyte to attract, presumably, a younger female audience by welcoming as her very first guest that unmistakable icon of hip young females everywhere ... Diane Sawyer?
Nothing against the always-elegant and estimable Ms. Sawyer, but surely there might've been someone, somewhere who might've added a bit more star sizzle to the first edition of a nationally-syndicated talk show (Megan Mullally, for instance, had Will Ferrell in skivvies on for her first installment.) Perhaps the boss -- Oprah Winfrey -- didn't want her own appearance tomorrow on the show (and her own premiere) to be overshadowed.
As it was, Ray did her best to combine elements of just about every hosted studio-audience show in existence, including, in descending order of awkwardness, a little coffee-talk time at the top, some eyebrow-raising service segments (cleaning lettuce in the washing machine), and Ray making her trademark quick-prep meals, now whittled down to seven ( from 30) minutes.

Sheryl Crow isn't angry with Lance Armstrong over their break-up, but she clearly misses him immensely, saying that losing Lance was like "having part of your life amputated."
In an exclusive interview following the very public end of her relationship with Armstrong and her battle with breast cancer, Crow told "Good Morning America's" Diane Sawyer that there was a growing divide between her and Armstrong over the last days of their time together, but that she absolutely didn't believe that Armstrong "bailed" on her when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.
The singer-songwriter seemed calm and resolute when talking about the fight to save her life, but certainly made it clear that the seven-time Tour de France winner, to whom she was engaged for five months, still occupied a significant place in her heart.
"You still have that phantom itch, you know, where you wake up and I'll see something and think, 'Oh, I've got to make sure Lance is hip to this band. I've got to put it on his iPod.' And then I remember, 'Oh, wait, you know, that's not my life."
Part II of Sawyer's interview with Crow airs Friday morning.

GMA in flux -- Gibson unhappy
By TMZ.COM STAFF
(Mar. 6, 12:35PM ET) -- TMZ has learned that Diane Sawyer told friends and ABC colleagues last week that she wants to anchor 'World News Tonight,' and stat.
Sources connected with ABC say Sawyer is convinced that Katie Couric is jumping ship to anchor 'The CBS Evening News,' and that she wants the seat at the ABC anchor desk before Couric starts.
Sources say there were numerous high-level meetings at ABC in New York this past Thursday and Friday, and that the Executive Producer for 'Good Morning America' was called in for some of them. The sources say that Charles Gibson, Sawyer's GMA co-anchor, was extremely unhappy last week that Sawyer wants to succeed Peter Jennings. It is unclear if Gibson is upset because he would lose his co-anchor or if he feels passed over for the evening anchor job. What is clear is that Gibson is unhappy.
We're told Elizabeth Vargas, who is currently anchoring the broadcast as her co-anchor Bob Woodruff recovers from a serious injury in Iraq, has gotten wind of Sawyer's intentions and has been asking "lots of questions."
One source connected with the network called Sawyer "obsessed" with getting the anchor job. The source adds that Sawyer feels that if Couric makes the move to CBS first, then Sawyer's place in broadcast history will be diminished.

By DAVID BAUDER, THE ASSOCIATED PRESS
NEW YORK -- ABC will announce Wednesday that Charles Gibson and Diane Sawyer, two of its best-known journalists, will fill in on "World News Tonight" for anchorman Bob Woodruff as he recovers from injuries suffered in a roadside bombing.
ABC News President David Westin will tell his news division of the plan later in the day, said an executive there who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Gibson and Sawyer will take turns as partners to Elizabeth Vargas, who became co-anchor of the evening newscast with Woodruff last month. There was no immediate word on how that would affect their roles as anchors on "Good Morning America."
Westin is committed to his revamped version of "World News Tonight," which includes an afternoon Webcast, live feeds to the West Coast and frequent reporting visits to world hotspots by the anchors.
Woodruff was on one of those trips to Iraq when he was seriously injured Sunday.
