So every season of "Dancing with the Stars" TMZ puts its intrepid spies to work -- and this year they are on top of it as ever.
The Diva: Multiple sources on the show say Macy Gray is hands down the most difficult. As one source put it, "She doesn't want to be there" and she has "regrets" she signed on. Another source says she gets so frustrated she leaves rehearsal early -- once after only 10 minutes. We're told another time she blew off a rehearsal altogether. As that source says, "She's just going through the motions and doesn't want to be there."
The Worst: We're told Ashley Hamilton -- George's son -- is not only the worst, he's "painful to watch"
The Best: This one is tougher to call. We're told Donny Osmond, Aaron Carter and Mya are all contenders, but the big surprise is UFC legend Chuck Liddell. Our spies say he's really good and practices like a mutha. One source says he gets to practice early and shuts the place down, with 6 hour, uninterrupted power sessions. And get this -- we're told he's already lost 20 lbs.
The Most Fun: "Iron Chef" host Mark Dacascos by a mile. We're told he's endlessly entertaining, he's having a blast and he's using his martial arts skills to shake it up.

Rolling with an entourage of six large gentlemen last night at The Ivy, it's easy to see how some people would consider Aretha Franklin a diva -- and by "some people," we mean the staff at "Dancing with the Stars."
The Queen of Soul is set to perform on the show tonight, but sources there tell TMZ Aretha has quite the list of demands. Among them, we're told Aretha has requested the air conditioning be turned off whenever she sings and we're also told she was adamant about switching up her song at the last minute ... but even if it is "diva" behavior, does it really matter?
Note to "DWTS" staff -- she's ARETHA FRANKLIN. She can do whatever the hell she wants.
Now somebody go get her a big mac.

"America's Next Top Model" Season 8 winner, Jaslene Gonzalez, bears a frightening resemblance to one of TMZ's favorite train wrecks, Janice Dickinson.
Jaslene was crowned ANTM on Wednesday night, and although she's not acting in diva fashion just yet, it's her looks that have us comparing her to the self-proclaimed "World's first supermodel."
The good news? Jaslene reminds us of an early Janice; before the reconstruction, tantrums, demands and bunions. Let's hope that the humble innocence remains for the long haul!

Layla El is the winner of the 2006 WWE $250,000 Diva Search. Besides her new title of WWE Diva, the new queen of the ring is also being hailed as one of the sexiest women on TV.
TMZ has followed the competition since its inception in July, when hundreds of girls auditioned for the coveted spot.
After dozens of beauties strutted their stuff in front of judges, eight finalists were chosen. Fans were able to participate in the selection process via cell phone and online voting.
TMZ sat down with the quarter million dollar winner to talk about her journey to diva-hood and the doubts she had along the way.
