Oprah Winfrey was blindsided on the set of a live TV newscast yesterday -- when a local Dallas newsman suddenly blasted Queen O with a super-awkward question, "Would you like to take this opportunity to apologize to America for introducing us to Dr. Phil?"

Oprah squirmed a bit, but she was saved when the anchor got even more awkward -- asking O if she wanted to "touch my hair."

A rep for Dr. Phil just sent TMZ the following statement vehemently denying the TV shrink did anything wrong to the woman accusing him of holding her captive in his offices, forcing her to stare at a naked man and grabbing her breast:
"All of Shirley Rae Dieu's claims are without merit. As with all of the occupants of the DR. PHIL House, Ms. Dieu participated voluntarily, having submitted her personal story with the hope that she could confront, and overcome, her individual issues.
Dr. Phil is never alone in the House with any of these guests and all of his interactions are captured on video and/or audio tape. All guests are, of course, free to come and go as they please and once Ms. Dieu expressed her discomfort, and producers ascertained there was nothing they could do to help her, they called a car service to return her to her home.
Ms. Dieu filed a claim with the Los Angeles Police Department some 9 months after the incident, which was investigated and ultimately not pursued by the Los Angeles City Attorney. All guests of the show are treated with dignity and respect and the show stands by the manner in which she was handled while participating on the show."
Dieu is suing Dr. Phil for an unspecified amount of money.

Dr. Phil is being sued by a woman who claims the TV shrink held her captive inside his production offices, forced her to stare at a naked man -- and then grabbed her left breast.
According to the suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, a woman named Shirley Dieu claims she went to Phil to seek therapy in 2007 -- but instead she claims the doc tried to "brainwash" her and force her to endure all sorts of physical and emotional abuse.
In the docs, Shirley claims Phil forced her to "be in the same room with a completely naked live man while he exposed his entire naked body, genitals and all."
Shirley alleges she tried to escape the building, but "was blocked by the staff to prevent her from leaving."
In the docs, Shirley also claims Phil "touched her left breast during her therapy session."
Shirley also claims Phil lied to her about being a "real" doctor -- alleging that the TV shrink "is not licensed to practice in the state of California."
Shirley doesn't specify how much money she wants from Phil -- but we're assuming it's an insane figure.

Five "Dr. Phil" fans are now suing the very show they once loved -- after a road trip to catch a taping of the program allegedly turned into the worst experience of their lives.
Flashback to December 2007, when a bus chartered by the "Dr. Phil" show -- which was carting members of a Ventura County mothers group to see the show -- crashed while en route, injuring 17 people.
According to the lawsuit, filed earlier this month in L.A. County Superior Court, the brakes on the bus "failed and lost power, making the bus unable to stop" ... causing it to collide with "another vehicle, two concrete curbs, an iron fence and two trees."
Now, five women on board that bus are suing Dr. Phil's production company, claiming the show "negligently hired" the faulty bus to pick them up.
The five women are asking for unspecified damages against Dr. Phil's production company -- Peteski Productions -- along with Bus America, Inc. and the bus driver.

An interior design team who claim Dr. Phil McGraw and his wife Robin breached an oral contract has now upped the ante in their lawsuit.
Deborah Flattery and Brynja McGrady -- who sued the McGraws in March -- now allege fraud, false advertising and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The designers, who developed a line of skin care products, claim Robin promised to promote the products on her husband's show -- but never did. They also claim they were never fully paid for their services.
In response, the McGraws counter-sued for fraud -- claiming Flattery and McGrady over-charged them for a re-do of the couple's master suite.
McGraw attorney Frederick Friedman told us, "The McGraws are simply seeking to recover what the decorators actually admit to having received by fraud."
But the McGrady's attorney, Stephen Lowe, denies any fraud -- telling us his clients are part of an elaborate scheme concocted by the McGraws ... one in which the couple doesn't fully pay their vendors.

A couple that appeared on a "Dr. Phil" episode for domestic abuse was just busted on suspicion of robbing an Ohio pharmacy of hundreds of painkillers.

Kurtis DeWitt and his girlfriend, Megan Lillo -- who once told Dr. Phil that Kurtis beat, choked, slapped and hit her with a rock -- were arrested last week after Kurtis allegedly stormed into a Kaiser Wells Pharmacy wearing a mask and a hoodie and demanded large amounts of OxyContin. According to the Norwalk Reflector, the pharmacist forked over the pills and Kurtis allegedly hopped in a getaway car driven by Lillo.
But get this: Cops weren't able to catch DeWitt right away, but were able to place him at the Kaiser Wells Pharmacy by checking the logs on an ankle bracelet he was wearing for a previous crime spree ... in which Lillo had also been the getaway driver.
DeWitt was charged with aggravated robbery and Lillo with one count of conspiracy.

A couple who went on "Dr. Phil" to confess to their shoplifting lifestyle just got their home raided by cops -- we're thinking they should be imprisoned for felony dumb.

The San Diego Regional Fraud Task Force seized toys, a car and other stuff from Laura and Matthew Eaton's home. Cops were on the hunt for the pilfered items which the couple says were worth around $100,000 a year.
During the "Dr. Phil" special, the Eatons allowed cameras to film them hitting up 27 stores on a three-day, $5,000 shoplifting extravaganza. The U.S. Secret Service confirmed to the The North County Times that a search warrant was issued last Thursday, but no arrests have been made.
Fact is, this was so yesterday -- the show aired during November sweeps. Phil's March book is all about OctoMom -- investigate her!

Nadya Suleman might make a film debut -- but it won't be for a porno.

OctoMom did an interview with Dr. Phil where she addressed both her sex tape offer and her birth tape being shopped around, and while she shot down the porn and its counteroffer, she wasn't as clear about the other.
As TMZ first reported, the birth tape is DEFINITELY being shopped.

OctoMom don't need no publicist, because she's about to get a new home.

We've learned her dad is the purchaser of the 2,583 square-foot house for Octo. It's located in La Habra, near where OctoGrandma lives now. It has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, a large master bedroom with a walk-in closet and a large backyard. It's listed for $564,900. The buyer paid near asking price.
It's listed by Mike Patel of Prudential Realty in Anaheim Hills in the O.C. We're told the deal was just inked and it will close on Friday. Sources also say the "substantial down payment" came from money that OctoMom has been scoring over the last few weeks. As one source put it, "the money has been coming from all over the place -- $15,000 here, $25,000 there." We're told the seller is financing the deal.
We're told Octo will either move in over the weekend or early next week.

He's been shoving OctoMom down everyone's throats since her overgrown belly and 821 children burst onto the scene -- he even had her over to his place -- so why the silence, Dr. Phil?

Maybe he's finally over her too.

What do you get when OctoMom and Gloria Allred show up at Dr. Phil's home doorstep today in Bev Hills? We're pretty sure it involves TV and some serious cash.

California taxpayers, calm down: Even though real estate sources told TMZ OctoMom was looking to buy a $1.24 million home, her only words about the situation yesterday were a sturdy "I wish."

She was there taping an interview with Dr. Phil -- no word on if she was compensated for the sit down or if the alleged home search was part of the set-up.

There are lots of peeps to tip when you leave STK. Dr. Phil was generous with the security guy, then got in his car. But the valet had some unfinished business and came a callin'.

But D.P. ain't no cheapskate -- the good doc paid the $9 parking fee and tipped $11on top of it.

A string of bad luck -- including two deaths -- has the staff at the "Dr. Phil" show wondering if their set is cursed.
Sources close to the production tell TMZ in the last few months two employees of the show have passed away and two others suffered medical emergencies. We're told one staffer recently died of cancer, while a young intern who had strep throat was dead by the end of the week. Our sources also tell us the wife of an editor recently suffered a family tragedy, while a producer suffered a concussion and a broken arm while on the Paramount Studios set of the daytime talk show.
Our sources say Phil and other execs have been trying to retool the show for the new upcoming season and that has some staffers feeling the bad luck may be a sign they should leave well enough alone. We're told Phil held a staff meeting this past Friday where he addressed the recent sad turn of events and attempted to boost the crew's morale.
A rep for the "Dr. Phil" show was not immediately reached.

Forget the Playboy Mansion, the "Dr. Phil" show may be the new hot spot!
Some married guy has posted on Craigslist that the audience at Phil's show is "full of hot ass."
The post reads like a sleazy play book: "Before you go into the studio everyone hangs out in a staging area for about an hour, you have plenty of time to start something. I would recommend having something fun and very 'L.A.' to do after the show to offer the girls to go to. Then get into drinks."
And it gets worse: "Most of the women are foreigners and/or a little 'white trashy' so they are probably very easy. All of them are for sure looking for something to do after the show."
Now that's good advice.
