Guess Which Gov. Candidate Is Screwing Cali?

Georges MarcianoGuess? co-founder Georges Marciano owes almost two million dollars in back taxes to the state of California -- the very state where he's running for governor.

TMZ obtained the tax lien which shows Marciano owes $1,750,986.76 in unpaid taxes, and that's actually an improvement! According to the paperwork, the clothing giant was originally $3,250,986.76 in the red before he made a $1.5 mil payment.

Earlier this month, Marciano announced he's entering the race as an independent. And this part is priceless: If elected, Georgie boy is promising to audit all of California's banks.

A rep for Marciano tells TMZ that George "is not aware of it."

Palin Gets Chilly Reception

The bad news for Sarah Palin: She lost the election. The worse news: She had to go back to Alaska.

There aren't any Saks or Neiman Marcus stores in the Last Frontier.

O'Reilly's the Big Winner

Make no mistake about it: Barack Obama isn't the only one who hit the jackpot last night.

We're actually going to get serious on this one. FOX News Channel has got to be celebrating today. Bill O'Reilly can have a field day with the new Prez, and there may be no one else on that field to challenge him.

MSNBC's decision to cheer on Obama worked during the election. Keith Olbermann's ratings and demos are definitely up. But here's the dilemma: MSNBC has squarely taken sides and courted an audience that now expects good news about the Prez elect. That's somewhat true about CNN as well. But here's the problem with TV -- viewers get bored with cheerleaders, even if they agree with them.

So what's O'Reilly gonna do? He's already got a huge lead in the ratings. Will he go for the jugular? He actually took our call today and said, "We are going to be the watchdogs. We don't know what Obama is going to do. It's my job to explain every move he makes, but I'm not going to nitpick him."

Here's what's interesting -- O'Reilly doesn't really have to attack if MSNBC and CNN throw softballs. Being somewhat neutral could end up actually looking edgy, and viewers like edgy.

One final thing. O'Reilly actually told us he kinda blew it with Bush. He said he never looked at the way Bush was handling the economy until it was too late.

Obama Suspects Have No Plot to Piss In

The three men popped in Colorado who supposedly had a plot to kill Barack Obama will probably go to jail for a long time -- but not over an assassination plot.
U.S. Attorney Troy Eid said there is "Insufficient evidence to verify that such a plot was real." But here's a list of the charges they do face:

Tharin Gartrell: possession of a controlled substance. Shawn Robert Adolph: possession of a firearm by felon, possession of body armor by a violent felon and possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute. Nathan Johnson: possession of a firearm by a felon and possession of methamphetamines.

Hollywood Checkbooks Closed for '08?

With the 2008 presidential election still in its pre-primary stage, Hollywood's elite players are still unsure where to throw their money. Now blogalicious Arianna Huffington can show you where the money is ... and isn't!
Sheen, Affleck, Baldwin, Cruise
A new tool on HuffingtonPost.com lets users search through campaign contributions by name or location. A quick look through the database shows several usually political celebs are sitting out the race ... so far. The Baldwin brothers, the Sheen/Estevez clan (Martin, Charlie and Emilio), Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Johnny Depp, Matt Damon and Ben Affleck all show no donations, says the HuffPost.

Scientologists have also been quiet thus far, with no records on anything from Katie Holmes' husband, Kelly Preston, John Travolta or Jenna Elfman. Perhaps they want to know where Sen. Clinton stands on Xenu.

Search your favorite celeb -- or your neighbor -- at HuffingtonPost.com.
