Cop: Travolta Suspect Flushed Evidence

JohnTravolta A Bahamas cop just testified defendant Pleasant Bridgewater admitted to giving key evidence in the case the dead goldfish treatment ... flushing it down a toilet at her home on the island.

Det. Sgt. Debra Thompson
testified today about what went down on January 22 when they arrested Bridgewater -- who allegedly helped broker the extortion deal between paramedic Tarino Lightbourne and John's lawyer.

Thompson said the day of the arrest, they searched Bridgewater's office at her law firm ... with Bridgewater in tow.

At the office, Thompson said Bridgewater told them they weren't going to find what they were looking for -- a copy of the extortion document -- because she burned it with a candle and then flushed it down one of the toilets at her house.

Thompson said they then escorted Bridgewater to her home, where she actually showed them the candle in question -- so they took photos of it.

Thompson didn't say if they also took pics of the commode.

UPDATE: The prosecution is through calling witnesses -- they'll all be back in court on Tuesday. Stay tuned!

Rihanna Could Score Bling in Court

Our sources say tomorrow's Chris Brown hearing will not end with a plea bargain, although we know both sides are deep in discussion. But it looks like Rihanna could score something big.

Rihanna

Rihanna's lawyer is asking the judge to release the jewelry Rihanna was wearing when she was beaten. The jewelry was taken as evidence just after the beating and she wants it back -- it was on loan from jewelers and they either want her to fork it over or pay $1.4 mil.

We're told the cops would like to return it as well. There are reports the D.A. is objecting to returning it --
reportedly for leverage so Rihanna will cooperate. But our sources say the D.A. has not taken a position.

Rihanna's lawyer and Brown's lawyer want to take photos of the jewelry and use them if the jewelry ever becomes evidence in a trial. But legally, her lawyer doesn't have authority to appear in Brown's case -- in legalese her lawyer doesn't have "standing." So the judge could simply refuse to hear Rihanna's lawyer.

Will the judge release the hostage jewelry? Stay tuned! Hearing is tomorrow.

Rihanna to LAPD -- Gimme Back My Bling!

Rihanna lost more than her innocence the night she was allegedly beat up by Chris Brown -- she's also out $1.4 million in jewelry.

RiRi is asking the cops to hand back a pair of earrings and three rings the cops logged as evidence on the night in question. And get this -- the jewelry isn't even hers. According to docs, the bling belonged to four companies which loaned it to her for the pre-Grammy party she attended with Brown that night.

Rihanna's attorney, Donald Etra, claims he asked for the jewelry back earlier this month and submitted written requests on April 7 and April 17. Etra also claims that Brown's attorney, Mark Geragos, has no problem with the jewelry being released.

The earrings are described as yellow metal hoop earrings with white stones. The first ring is a yellow metal ring with white stones and green stones. The second and third rings are described as being yellow metal rings with white stones.

Brown faces a felony assault charge and a charge of making criminal threats.

Chris Brown Case Not Ready for D.A.

We've learned the L.A. County District Attorney's office received the Chris Brown case this morning from the LAPD for its review. But there was a snag.

The D.A.'s office wanted more info so the case was kicked back to the LAPD for further investigation.

Brown was booked on a charge of felony criminal threats. The D.A. could also file domestic violence and other charges.

Brown's Rented Lambo -- $2,000-a-Day

That ridiculously awesome piece of evidence sitting in a police impound lot is running Chris Brown a cool $2k-per-day.

Chris Brown

Chris rented the silver Lamborghini (in which he allegedly fought with Rihanna) from an exotic car boutique in L.A. called Platinum Motorsport -- and until he can get the car back to the business, Chris is gonna have to foot the bill.

Currently, the car is behind a chain-link fence with no official ETA on when it will be released.

Brown's Rented Lamborghini Impounded

It appears this is the silver rental Lamborghini Chris Brown had driven the night of the alleged incident. We're told cops towed a vehicle from the scene at Hancock Park to a nearby police impound lot, where it still remains behind a chain-link fence.
