Ambre Lake from "Rock of Love" turned heads on Wednesday when she took her shirt off for gay marriage in front of a Mormon temple in L.A. -- and the cops were forced to intervene.
Ambre taped her mouth, scribbled "Legalize Gay" across her stomach, and then whipped her top off on Santa Monica Boulevard ... in front of the second biggest Mormon temple on the planet -- and it was all for a photo shoot in protest of California's recent ban on gay marriage.
The topless display didn't last long though -- she was forced to cover up after a police officer approached very nicely and said, "You are causing a traffic hazard."

Carrie Prejean told Larry King the Miss California USA people were pushing the gay agenda so hard they couldn't hide it -- even asking her to go to a gay event in disguise.
Prejean insinuated pageant officials wanted her to pose in Playboy -- they've told us they were merely passing the offer along, per her demand.
Prejean did not address Donald Trump's statement to us ...that she treated people in the pageant like s**t and refused to participate in 30 sanctioned events.

UPDATE: We learned Carrie just received her letter of termination. She is officially out.
We've learned "biblically correct" Carrie Prejean will lose her Miss California USA crown today because she doesn't play well with others.
Sources connected with the pageant tell us even Donald Trump has now had it with Carrie, because she's violating her contract by not getting clearance to do her extracurricular stuff.
We're also told Carrie has been a no-show for appearances she was supposed to make for the pageant organization.
The firing, we're told, is strictly based on Carrie breaching her contract. It's not based on her political and moral views.
Carrie is getting her walking papers this afternoon.
The new Miss California USA will be Miss Malibu Tami Farrell.

It would make sense for Carrie Prejean -- the poster child for "traditional marriage" -- to hire a lawyer who shares her beliefs. And wouldn't you know it -- she picked one of the most famous ones of the bunch.
TMZ has learned Prejean has hired Charles Limandri, who acted as as general counsel to the National Organization of Marriage (NOM) when the group spearheaded the California ballot initiative to include the marriage definition in the constitution (aka Proposition 8).
We're told Prejean is trying to use Limandri to help her negotiate her contract with the Miss Universe Organization so she can make unauthorized public appearances with whomever she wants. (*cough cough NOM)
Prejean appears in an ad for NOM that is displayed prominently on their website -- despite the objections of the Miss Universe Organization.

There's one thing the CA Supreme Court can't stop ... Kathy Griffin's "box-of-wine-drinking" mom from toasting gay marriage.
The "D-List" star and her 89-year-old mom Maggie -- along with Lance Bass -- were just some of the thousands who marched in last night's anti-Prop 8 rally in West Hollywood.
While Maggie was in a wheelchair, she didn't drink and drive.

Here we thought "biblically correct" Carrie Prejean would swing more towards Christian cutie Kris Allen -- but when we asked her this morning which "American Idol" she was backing, she surprisingly said Adam Lambert ... you know, the theatrical one.
In light of yesterday's Prop 8 ruling in California, Carrie Prejean patted herself on the back on this morning's "Fox & Friends" -- saying she's "not the bad guy" since the state's Supreme Court agreed with her.

They found each other through their shared hatred of gay marriage ... but fell in love over their passion for makeup and other assorted beauty products.
According to Miss California Carrie Prejean's dad, his daughter and Sarah Palin are phone buddies. The Alaskan Guv reportedly called Prejean to offer her support in her difficult crusade to stop gay people from getting hitched.
Keep in mind: this was before topless pictures of Prejean hit the internet. Think Palin will remain loyal to her new bud? Hint -- Have you seen "Nailin' Paylin?'

So how does a beauty queen turn into the poster child against gay marriage? In the case of Miss California Carrie Prejean, the answer may lie in an ugly divorce that may have cemented her views on gay relationships.
Carrie's parents filed for divorce in 1988 and the divorce and custody fights went on for more than a decade -- it was a divorce filled with homosexual allegations hurled by both sides.
In one of the docs, Carrie's dad describes a confrontation he had with her mom in 1996, in which he recounts an argument in a restaurant parking lot, where "Ms. Prejean accused me, in front of our daughter, of homosexuality."
The papers also quote a court-appointed doctor who said "The mother questioned [within hearing of the girls] whether [her father] was a homosexual or had a homosexual roommate."
Carrie's mom says the "gay" allegations went both ways. In court papers dated May 16, 2000, a report from the court-appointed counselor says "The mother also alleges the father told the girls their stepfather was gay, that all men with mustaches are gay." The father's response: "The father acknowledges talking with the girls about the stepfather's brother being gay, not the stepfather."
Also in the docs -- a handwritten letter from Carrie's older sister, in which she recounts a weekend stay with her dad: "One time my sister & I went in the hallway of my dad's apartment, & his roommate's door was open all the way & we saw [the roommate] in bed with another man. I don't think it's right for my sister & I to have to live that way."
So does Carrie believe gays broke up her parents' marriage? We called her rep ... no comment so far. We could not reach Carrie's dad for comment.
For the record, there are other allegations -- absolutely hideous -- in the divorce and custody papers -- which we have elected not to publish.

The Miss Universe Organization just told us they've fired off a cease and desist letter to the National Organization for Marriage -- after NOM used footage from the Miss USA 2009 pageant in an anti-gay marriage commercial.
The commercial -- which is currently still playing on NOM's website -- uses Carrie Prejean's pageant response to the gay marriage question as a selling point for the ad.
This doesn't mean the MUO is taking sides on the issue -- just saying NOM can't use the copyrighted material to promote their agenda.

Miss California may not think gays or lesbians should be allowed to marry, but what about women who were born men?
Here's "biblically correct" Carrie Prejean partying it up with transgendered female NYC nightlife sensation Amanda Lepore (born Armand Lepore) a while back, as seen on UsMagazine.com.
Luckily for the 21-year-old evangelical Christian, Amanda has transitioned into a woman and is able to enter into an "opposite marriage" with a heterosexual male.
Hallelujah! "No offense."

Miss USA judge Claudia Jordan tells us Miss California Carrie Prejean didn't play to her audience when she said "Marriage should only be between a man and a woman."
Claudia says, "She should have known her audience better. There's only like five straight guys in the audience at the pageant." You gotta love Claudia!
The former Briefcase #1 model on "Deal or No Deal" says, "I don't agree with what she said, but I don't think she's evil."
And we saved the best for last: "I've been in pageants, and I've been on TMZ, so I know what it's like when you screw up what you meant to say." First of all, love the honesty, Claudia. Second of all, exactly what part did Carrie misspeak?
