Clarkson's Producer -- I Would Never 'Dupe' Kelly

The guy Kelly Clarkson blames for allegedly making her look like a song-stealing rip-off artist claims he would never 'dupe' anyone -- and the idea is both "hurtful and absurd."

Kelly Clarkson's Producer -- I Would Never 'Dupe' Kelly

Clarkson basically threw producer Ryan Tedder under the bus after people pointed out her new single "Already Gone" has the same backing track as Beyonce's single, "Halo" -- which are both songs Tedder produced.

Now, Tedder is firing back at Clarkson with the following statement:

"Already Gone" is one of the best song I've written or produced since "Bleeding Love" and stands tall on it's own merits apart from "Halo".

They are two entirely different songs conceptually, melodically, & lyrically and I would never try to dupe an artist such as Kelly Clarkson or Beyoncé into recording over the same musical track, the idea is both hurtful & absurd.

Kelly Clarkson -- I Didn't Steal From Beyonce!

Kelly Clarkson is so worried that people are going to think she ripped off Beyonce's beats for her new single that Kelly's throwing her song's co-writer under the bus instead.

Clarkson is reportedly furious at her record label for releasing her new single "Already Gone" -- after the singer realized it has the exact same backing track as Beyonce's "Halo."

But according to CBCNews.ca, who actually spoke with Clarkson, the former "Idol" champ is blaming the whole thing on music producer Ryan Tedder -- who allegedly gave the same beat to Beyonce without informing Kelly. FYI -- Tedder is also the front man for the band OneRepublic.

Clarkson told the CBC, "No one's gonna be sittin' at home, thinking 'Man, Ryan Tedder gave Beyonce and Kelly the same track to write to ... no, they're just gonna be saying I ripped someone off."

"Halo" Movie Loses Players

Looks like super marine Master Chief will have to eliminate a homicidal alien race without some very powerful allies. The Peter Jackson produced film "Halo" based on the wildly popular Microsoft video game, hit a huge roadblock this morning as Universal and Fox studios both announced that they have officially backed out of the film.
Master Chief
The studios demanded that executive producers, Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, along with Microsoft each reduce their profit participation in the film which included a $5 million upfront payday, obviously their demands were not met.

Some insiders are speculating that the pull-out had to due with budget problems as rumors swirl that the film, originally budgeted for $135 million, had already busted the cap by a whopping $65 million,

Others feel that handing a huge franchise like "Halo" to first time director Neil Blomkamp made the studios way too nervous about the film.

But, fear not Halo-heads -- the project isn't dead yet. Peter Jackson's Weta Workshop is continuing to work on the film while Microsoft locks down another partner.

The copy editor apologizes for offending serious fanboys. He's more of a Tecmo Bowl fan.

E3 for the Masses No More

E3The Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced today that the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) will "evolve" into a smaller more intimate program. In layman's terms, the average gamers chances of getting into the exhibition that has defined the video game industry for the past 12 years is now slim to none.

E3 typically draws more then 60,000 attendees, each clamoring to visit the approximately 400 booths in a quest to gather as many free t-shirts and demo disks as their corporate logo-plastered bags could handle.

The new and improved E3Expo will take shape over the next few months. It will focus on press events and small meetings with media, retail and development.

So as gamers across the nation drown their sorrows in a Halo tournament or World of Warcraft orge battle, video game companies will be restructuring their plans for the upcoming year.
