Hayden Christensen claims the film deal he signed back in 2005 was too good to be true -- and now the former Skywalker and his brother are suing the guy who roped them into it ... for nearly $3 million.
The same month Star Wars Episode III was released in 2005, Hayden struck an agreement with a producer named Philippe Martinez to appear in a movie called "Crash Bandits" while his brother, Tove, signed on as co-producer. They also agreed to a deal where Martinez would pay for the right to have first crack at the brothers' future projects.
The Christensens claim they never had second thoughts because Martinez told them he had a $500,000,000 bankroll.
But now, in a lawsuit filed in L.A. County Superior Court, the brothers claim the movie never got made and insist Martinez never paid up. They now doubt that Martinez ever had the 9-figure bankroll to begin with.

TMZ has learned Hayden Christensen's brother, producer Tove Christensen, was arrested early this morning for felony assault with a deadly weapon -- when he allegedly dragged his girlfriend around 30 feet after she clung to the side of his car.
LAPD responded to a 911 call in Hollywood around 2:30 AM after an argument broke out between the couple. Witnesses told law enforcement that Christensen pushed her to the ground and hopped in his car -- but when his GF reached inside to grab her purse, Tove hit the gas and dragged her down the street.
When police arrived, the girlfriend had visible marks on her arm. They later tracked down Tove at his L.A. home and arrested him.
He's currently being held on $30,000 bail.
Tove -- seen here on the left -- produced brother Hayden's movie "Shattered Glass," and according to his Wiki, had one line in one episode of "Buffy the Vampire Slayer."

Hayden Christensen spent several hours at a gun range yesterday, pouring 9mm slugs into amorphous blob targets.
After his lackluster role in Star Wars, he's lucky shmoos don't shoot back.

TMZ caught Janice Dickinson attempting to "save" the world's critters from Paris and Britney -- well, at least the puppies in the Malibu Country Mart! Also in L.A, hunky Matt Dillon drivin' his Benz as a photog makes a waggish remark, the usually smirky Damon Wayons outside of Mr. Chow - not smiling, and studly Hayden Christensen chatting up the paps at LAX.
On the opposite coast, Sandra Bullock and Anne Hathaway both receiving warm paparazzi greetings as they arrive at NYC airports.

With the line between beauty pageants and Girls Gone Wild now completely blurred, maybe NBC should have Joe Francis host the next Miss USA telecast. In advance of that tantalizing prospect, here are the finalists for the sparkling TMZ tiara.
Donald Trump: Apparently, last winter's squabble with Martha Stewart was only a warm-up. In what can only be interpreted as a delirious desire to prevent anything from soiling the January 7 debut of Season 6 of "The Apprentice," The Donald relocated this week to the Trump Glower, and hurled down an unbelievable stream of invective at the rosiest rabble-rouser of "The View." O'Donnell, meanwhile, has cut and pasted some rather unflattering Wikipedia info about Trump into her blog, adding that she will let readers know "if kelli leaves me for one of his pals." This is David Gest vs. Liza Minnelli on Viagra and estrogen, an East Coast battle that suddenly renders the premiere of tonight's new E! special "30 Most Outrageous Celebrity Feuds" moot.

Scoring a lead role in one of the biggest movie franchises ever made will probably make you rich. Really rich. But who would have guessed that just being the brother of the baddest man in a galaxy far, far away could score entry into one of the most exclusive financial clubs on the planet? Not us.
According to sources, Hayden Christensen's older brother Tove recently cruised into a Los Angeles Baskin-Robbins ice cream store and paid for a frozen treat using an American Express black card. An American Express black card!?!? Normally, these limitless credit cards are issued to the most elite of the elite, the richest of the rich, and are often used to buy extremely extravagant items like private planes, mansions or ice cream STORES! Not just a simple sundae.
But we're not taking anything away from Tove's accomplishments. The former actor is a Hollywood power player, garnering all sorts of acclaim as a producer of the 2003 flick "Shattered Glass," which starred his brother Hayden. Impressive, but, let's face it -- he doesn't exactly share the same prerequisites that earned Britney Spears her black card. Looks like he might have more in common with K-Fed instead.

Will Shania Twain ever have a tour in South Dakota?
While anything's possible Andrea, it's not likely that Shania Twain will be stopping in South Dakota any time soon. Sources close to the country crooner tell TMZ that she has no tours currently planned and that she is on holiday for an indefinite amount of time.
In 2004 she released her "Greatest Hits" album, which peaked at number two on the the Billboard 200. And in 2005 she unveiled "Beginnings," an album which fans have warmly taken in.

Is it true that Channing Tatum is dating Jenna Dewan?
Christy, all signs are pointing to these two on-screen love birds being an item. Channing Tatum and Jenna Dewan have been seen numerous times with one another since working together in the movie "Step Up." This isn't the first time Tatum has been linked with a fellow female worker. "She's the Man" co-star Amanda Bynes is the most recent before Jenna. But don't count Jenna out. The professional dancer, who has recently parted ways with Shane West ("A Walk to Remember"), has also been linked with Justin Timberlake in the past. Typical Hollywood triangles!
In any event, this duo makes Channing and Jenna two of the luckiest (and slightly unknown) Hollywood actors yet. And for more, check out some of their photos together.
