Swine flu has been the ammunition for a lot of jokes recently, but last night, Ice-T reminded everyone why it's still a serious issue -- it killed someone close to him.
The rapper and his wife Coco were walking into a Star Magazine party at Bardot last night -- where Ice told TMZ he didn't realize the severity of the illness until recently, when one of his friends caught it and died.

Considering she was hospitalized with shortness of breath the night before, it wasn't really a surprise Mariska Hargitay wasn't on the "Law & Order: SVU" set yesterday. But her co-star Ice-T assured us, even though he didn't know much, she's doing "alright."

Ice-T's wife Coco might be the only person alive who gets mad when you tell her she's not looking like a $5 hooker for a change.
When we pointed out how she was more covered up than usual last night, Coco passionately argued that her shirt was, in fact, "see through."
And she was right.

In a desperate attempt to make his love affair with Tupperware seem "gangsta," Ice-T and his cheeky wife CoCo finally revealed their favorite item in their vast collection -- "the knives."
Who knew Tupperware made friiggin' knives? A true diehard Tupperware fanatic, that's who.

Candace Cameron, aka DJ Tanner, told us the gals of the show were gonna meet up soon for dinner -- but don't expect MK and Ashley Olsen to be joinin' them. What about Kimmy Gibbler?!
Also in L.A.: Ice T did his best imitation of an owl, Jason Statham was in a good mood for a change, Kat showed off her tat, Tony Danza wasn't thrilled to be shot, the Pussycat Dolls met a borderline obsessive fan and Daisy de la Hoya was hot for incest.

Tommy Lee didn't like where our line of questioning was going -- so he deflected attention to Sum 41 leader Deryck Whibley.
Also in L.A.: Audrina was mistaken for Heidi (the horror!), Too Short praised Ice T, Dana Delaney was unrecognizable without makeup and Cheryl Burke was almost panty-raided.
In NY: Mary J. Blige made it very clear who she was voting for, Rob Thomas went out with his gorgeous wife and Nickelodeon kid Josh Peck looked all growed up.

The geriatric former rap star, embroiled in a nice YouTube diss war with Soulja Boy, officially handed in his street cred card last night with this embarrassing appearance on "Celebrity Family Feud."
For once the biggest mess in that family wasn't Coco.

How are these for words any guy would never want to hear from firecracker Eva Longoria: "Oh my God, you're so little."
Though they'd normally be a low blow for the male of the species, it helps that Eva was talking to a 14-year-old kid paparazzo. TMZ cameras spotted the "Desperate Housewife" on Robertson Blvd., where she was shocked to see young Austin snapping pics.
Elsewhere in L.A., all the paps were asking celebs about Lindsay Lohan's second DUI arrest -- with Rosanna Arquette, David Spade and even Hasselhoff's ex Pamela Bach giving their weighty two cents.
Also out: Ice T and his always classy wife CoCo, Olivia Wilde and a drunk on sparkling water Scott Caan.

TMZ's G-Hollywood spotted Nicole Richie, Paris and sister Nicky as they left Maxfield on Melrose on Monday night. The reunited BFF's shopped 'til they dropped, then left the swanky strip with their assistants carrying their bags -- and set the paparazzi into a holiday frenzy.
Also out on the town: Justin Timberlake, platinum-selling rapper Xzibit, Bobby Brown, Ice T aka Iceberg along with wife Coco, and redheaded party girl Lindsay Lohan -- who was "too tired" to sign an autograph. Come on Lindsay!
