The former Miss British Columbia 2004 claims in a lawsuit one of the biggest talent agencies in the world promised her stardom but instead -- she says she became the victim of a sexual assault.
Claire Robinson claims in her suit, filed today in L.A. County Superior Court, International Creative Management (ICM) "hip-pocketed" her -- that's a term used when a senior agent takes an inexperienced actress without credits under his wing. The suit claims the agency "sexually exploited the 'hip-pocketed' actresses" they brought in.
Robinson claims in her lawsuit she was "sexually battered in an ICM limousine en route to a Paramount Studio event." The suit goes on ..."Robinson was later raped by another co-conspirator." Robinson claims the alleged rapist is a talent manager who conspired with ICM Executive VP Jack Gilardi.
Robinson claims Gilardi accepted bribes -- in the form of cash and gold watches -- in return for "hip pocketing" an actress who his friends wanted to "sexually exploit."
Robinson says the "hip-pocketing" practice is conducted "under the nose of Jeffrey Berg, the Chairman of ICM, in full view of its employees," and is an "inside joke" or "dirty secret," known by all within the entertainment industry.
Robinson's attorney Perry Wander tells TMZ "This case was filed as a class action because Ms. Robinson has since learned that this scheme has ensnared other actresses who were 'hip-pocketed' by ICM and sexually exploited."
She's suing for unspecified damages.
UPDATE: 5:48 PM ET -- An ICM spokesperson just gave TMZ the following statement: "Ms. Robinson's allegations are completely baseless. ICM denies any and all wrongdoing and will vigorously defend this action."

Breaking News: ¡Ay caramba! In an enormous talent agency power shift, TMZ has learned that International Creative Management motion picture division head Robert Newman is leaving ICM and becoming a partner at Endeavor with Matt Solo, who left a month ago. A formal announcement is expected later today.

Insiders familiar with the situation say that Newman, a seventeen year veteran of the agency who represents high-powered directors like Danny Boyle and Robert Rodriguez, had sought to become co-president of International Creative Management, but that upper management resisted.
That presidential position opened up after ICM merged last year with rival literary agency, BWCS, and then-ICM co-president Nancy Josephson was unceremoniously pushed out; not coincidentally, Josephson landed...three guesses?....at Endeavor. So much for that $100 million cash infusion at ICM.
No word on which clients will migrate with Newman yet, but an Endeavor spokesman for now is denying that three other ICM agents might follow Newman.

From TMZ's City Of Industry Blog:
International Creative Management has lost a key talent agent today in Chris Andrews, a rep to clients like Orlando Bloom, Felicity Huffman, Sir Ian McKellan and Guy Pearce, among others.
While it's clear that Andrews is headed to Creative Artists Agency, still unclear is who might be going with him. A CAA source confirmed the hire, but cautioned that Andrew's full client list might not emerge until morning. Andrews also serves on the team of many of ICM co-president Ed Limato's clients, who include Richard Gere, Mel Gibson, Paul Walker, and Denzel Washington. Most of those clients are expected to stay at ICM, an insider said.
A call placed to ICM was not returned at deadline, but sources there confirm Andrews' departure.
